What people say

Experience with steel series support.

I don’t have a lot of experience with interacting with other companies or support teams so I can’t exactly compare how this company handled things compared to others, but I can say Steelseries when providing support for me and providing a replacement for me handled everything with professionalism, simple and straightforward instructions (aside from my critique below). Their ticket system was simple and easy to navigate, they were patient with me when I failed to understand their instructions completely or to make anything easy for them. The new product sent was also quick with delivery and was sent right after I had finished the warranty process. My only critique is that the instructions could be a little vague but this might only be a me issue as I simply prefer to have very detailed instructions surpassing the normal, so I wouldn’t worry about that. All in all SteelSeries has been wonderful and I’d give them a rating of 8/10, or four stars out of five.

Really glad to hear the ticket flow felt easy to navigate, that the team stayed patient, and that the replacement got to you quickly once the warranty process was done. That’s the kind of “queue to new gear” experience we’re aiming for. Your point about the instructions feeling a bit vague is great feedback. Some players prefer very step‑by‑step, no‑room‑for-doubt directions, and we can do more there. We’ll use this to tighten our guides so they help both “just give me the basics” and “give me every detail” gamers.

Product was backordered

Product was backordered, but never notified. Site said in stock. So we went with communist Amazon

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-30

Thanks for calling this out so directly. Seeing “in stock” on the site, only to find out the product was actually backordered and nobody notified you, is exactly the kind of disconnect we don’t want. That’s frustrating, and we get why you chose to go elsewhere. We do have a “notify me” option for stock changes, but clearly in your case the messaging around availability wasn’t clear enough. We’ll review how we’re handling stock status and notifications for this product so what you see on the page matches reality much better.

Quick responses

Excellent communication and customer service, very quick with responses and follow-ups.

Thank you for the review. We’re glad the communication and follow‑ups felt strong and quick on your side—that’s exactly what we aim for! GLHF!

Bad keyboard experience

My keyboard had dead leds from nearly day one, the software keeps forgetting my profile, and then two of the keys died after 23 months. I requested an rma, and it took a few days longer than it should of to get it submitted because if their dumb automated ai email responses. Now my rma hasn't been shipped after 13 days despite them saying it should take five business days at max, and they made me destroy my old keyboard because to get the RMA done so I just have no keyboard for the time being. Just overall bad products and bad service.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-27

Thanks for laying all of this out. The mix of hardware issues, GG forgetting your profile, delays in the RMA, and being left without a keyboard while you wait is not the experience we want to deliver. We’ll use your case to review our RMA timelines and how the automated emails behave, so they actually help instead of adding friction. If your replacement still hasn’t shipped, please contact support with your RMA reference so we can check the status and get you back in action.

Quick and efficient

Customer service was straight to the point. All their products last for years and have great quality, and they fix issues within a week of them appearing.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-27

Really appreciate this feedback. It’s great to hear your gear has held up over time and that when something does go wrong, we’re fixing it within about a week. We'll share this review with the team to give them that extra boost this week!

Good customer support.

I was pretty disappointed that the brand new headset I got for my birthday started to experience issues just after a week of use. Now I’m enjoying an upgraded pair and am satisfied with the service I received from the support team. Thanks for making it right!

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-27

Thanks for being upfront about both the issue and the outcome. A brand‑new birthday headset having problems after a week is never what we want, but we’re glad we could get you into an upgraded pair and that you’re satisfied with the support. Thanks for letting us make it right! GLHF!

Oftentimes clear and straightforward

They were oftentimes very clear and straightforward in their questions or what they wanted me to do. (At least, Clear was.) One of the other reps wasn’t as clear as Clear was and it seemed to slow everything down.

Clearly you know how to write a good review. Thanks for the feedback and we're very happy to hear that clear was....clear. GLHF!

Good products when they work but terrible customer service

Ordered a £300 headset. 2 weeks and not been dispatched. What a joke no. No updates till I reach out and still doesn’t help. From faulty products and horrible RMA processes, now this. Long time customer and regret it..

Thanks for sharing your perspective as a long‑time customer. This kind of feedback helps us see where our order and support flows don’t match what people expect from the brand, and we’ll use it as we continue to improve how we communicate and handle orders. We’ll review this case and our RMA/order processes so we can tighten communication and fulfilment, and if you haven’t already, please reach out with your order number so we can check the status directly and get things moving.

Amazing and might be the best service ever

Actually I am excited to share this survey. Customer service was great and I am happy with my apex pro tkl gen 3

Thank you for the kind words. We’re happy you’re enjoying your Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 and that the customer service hit the mark.

Nova pro Omni is good but customer service isn’t.

Customer service was ok, but the solution was nothing as the headset was user error but I just don’t believe that there was nothing you guys could do. Out of all the brands I chose steel series and bought an Omni and there was a little scratch on the brand new headset. Mind you it wasn’t cheap it’s a $400 headset and I chose you guys. Headset works fine but they customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I was wondering if there was anything that could be done but unfortunately Tommy said there’s nothing you guys could do as it’s inflicted by user as I was trying to change the ear cups. I get it if my headset was old but it’s a brand new set and now there’s a cosmetic flaw and there was nothing that could be done about it, not even suggesting if I used something to cover it up. I had to suggest using electrical tape to cover up the scratch and Tommy said that should work. All in all I’m not expecting a new headset but at least a suggestion to cover up the headset or something would be nice but nothing. The headset itself is great but customer service is not as there was no solution not even a recommendation. I mean if you’re into customer retention I bet something would have been done about it but unfortunately this wasn’t the case and I’m probably going out to buy another headset and just give this to someone else even though it’s unused and just a month old. I usually never leave bad reviews but this time it just left a really bad taste in my mouth and I just had to do this. I’ll probably won’t get another steel series again. There’s plenty of options out there and I guess I’ll just take my business else where , that will appreciate my time.

Thanks for taking the time to write all of this out—it’s clear this experience felt really bad, and that’s not the feeling we want anyone to walk away with after choosing an Omni. You’re right that a small cosmetic flaw on a brand‑new, high‑end headset deserves more care and better guidance than what you describe. Even if we couldn’t replace the unit under warranty, we should have done a much better job of talking through options and giving you practical suggestions, instead of leaving you to come up with fixes on your own. That’s on us. We appreciate you choosing SteelSeries in the first place and we don’t take it lightly when someone says this has put them off the brand completely. We’ll review this case with our team so we can handle similar situations with more empathy and clearer explanations.

Great Customer Service

Well, from my experience with Steelseries here in the EU, I've only had S-Tier support. The products are pretty spenny, but worth-it long-term. Customer service has always been super helpful, and issues get resolved lignting-fast. Can't speak for other regions or countries, but my own experience thus far has been great.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-23

Thanks a lot for your kind words. We’re excited that your experience with us was a good one. We’ll keep doing our best to provide reliable, high-quality service—no pay-to-win, just an honest effort.

Good support and hardware

The support is friendly and fast and their keyboards are pretty good. As for the mice, I think they are pretty mediocre for their price.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-21

Thanks for the honest take and for the props on our support and keyboards. We really appreciate you sharing how our mice feel to you as well—that kind of feedback is gold for us when we’re leveling up future designs and performance for players.
