What people say

Good customer service

Good customer service, that follows up and really helps solve the issue at hand.

Thanks for the shout-out! We’re glad we could stick with the case and help you get back in the game with everything resolved.

apparently the download to use my mouse…

apparently the download to use my mouse is over 400MB and opening the software resets all the mouse settings to the totally unusable default AND logging into my account does NOT allow me to use previously used (and saved) configs.... below expectations on so many levels

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-20

Thanks for calling this out. GG should feel like a power-up, not a reset button, and we’re reviewing install size, default settings, and how saved configs load so it doesn’t feel like you’re losing your setup every time.

Good help, Can improve

Good help, could try more options before thinking on the warranty (I solved it with Gemini) and if could answer more than 1 email per day, perhaps a direct chat would be better, otherwise is good

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-20

Thanks for the honest review. We’ll look at adding more troubleshooting paths before jumping straight to warranty and at speeding up replies.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, forcing me to use a second account, closing tickets and opening others which lead to dead links and error messages, said I lived in UK so can no longer offer the replacement, have lived in Republic of Ireland for 4 years and ordered in Republic of Ireland, offered me warranty replacement 2 years ago which I could not take at the time due to terminal family health issues resulting in me leaving postgraduate studies and developing severe depression while being a full time carer for my family member with cancer and other complications. I just finally got sick of the issues with the Nova 7 V1 and wanted to accept the warranty replacement. Im being punished by steelseries for taking care of my family and putting my life progression on hold. Actually under Irish law we have a 6 year right to repair, replacement or refund, but tell me more about how I shouldve taken the replacement offer 2 years ago when my life was falling apart. Tell everyone more about how you are keeping tickets open to discuss the matter which lead to dead links, essentially trolling someone with depression who is the full time carer of someone with cancer amongst other health issues.

Thank you for taking the time to share all of this. We did honor your warranty and provide a replacement code at the time, and I’m sorry that the timing and everything you were dealing with made it hard to use. Because that original warranty case was resolved and the code has since expired, we’re not able to re-open the same claim two years later, but we absolutely should have explained that more clearly and with more care.

They will not honour warranties

Bought the headset off Amazon and the headset worked great for around a year then suddenly stopped working. I contacted SteelSeries to request a repair under warranty and they refused to honour the warranty because a tiny sticker with a serial number had fallen off the headset even though I could provide proof of purchase and photographs of the item in my possession and the customer service rep then even pre-emptively went on to say even if I found the box they wouldn't accept any details off it as proof Thankfully Amazon's repair service have been happy to have the item sent to them for investigation under the same manufacturers warranty the manufacturer itself is refusing to honour

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-20

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand this felt very unfair, and we’re reviewing how we handle serial number and proof-of-purchase cases so legit customers don’t hit a wall over details like a missing sticker.

Thank You and Suggestions for Improving After-Sales Support in China

Dear Sora, I hope this email finds you well. First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you and your team for the tremendous support you have provided. Your efforts have been invaluable, and we truly appreciate the dedication and professionalism your team has shown throughout our collaboration. That said, I would like to bring to your attention a few observations regarding the after-sales process for the Chinese market, as I believe there is room for improvement in terms of understanding the local operational landscape. In China, Nimbus Cloud is exclusively sold through Apple Premium Resellers (such as the Genius Bar), and these resellers do not directly communicate with distributors. Based on my recent communication with distributors, they indicated that they need to coordinate with manufacturers to address after-sales issues. This multi-layered process often results in a complicated and time-consuming experience for customers, with significantly longer wait times than expected. Given this context, I would kindly suggest that the Customer Success team consider gaining a deeper understanding of the local after-sales market operations in China. By doing so, we could work together to streamline the process, reduce customer friction, and enhance overall satisfaction. I would be happy to provide more details or facilitate discussions with local partners if that would be helpful. Please let me know if you would like to explore this further. Thank you again for your continued support, and I look forward to your thoughts on this matter.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-20

Thank you for both the kind words and the detailed insight on the China after‑sales flow. This is super valuable context and we’ll use it to look at how we can better support local partners and smooth out the experience for players there.

Slow but still good

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-20

Appreciate the honest take. We’re happy the support felt good overall, and we’re continuing to work on shaving off delay so help arrives more in sync with your pace.

Good products but bad support

I really like the Arctis nova pro wireless headphones with swappable batteries but they really make it difficult to submit a support ticket. No matter where I looked there was no link to the ticket creation page. The bot that was supposed to help you does not help you at all. You need to click through multiple layers of unlogical structuring to get to the ticket creation. Is this a sign of the decline of Steelseries?

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-20

Thanks for being this candid. We’re working on making it easier to reach a human, tightening up the bot’s guidance, and cutting down the “click maze” to start a ticket so support feels as straightforward as using the gear. Simly asking our Support NPC to contact support should kick off the connection to Support. You can also click Contact Us and send in a ticket.

Had issues with my product not arriving and shortly after my filed complaint the product was priority shipped. Its nice to be heard and have the problem fixed instantly.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-20

Thanks for the review. We’re glad your message landed and the order got bumped to priority—that’s exactly how we want to respond when a delivery goes off-script.

Nice work getting most of it sorted yourself, and we’re glad the pairing steps helped finish the job. Happy days indeed—thanks for the review.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a great experience with SteelSeries Support. I contacted them because my Arctis Nova 5X was experiencing intermittent static popping while using the 2.4 GHz wireless connection. The support team was professional, patient, and took the time to walk me through several troubleshooting steps to try to resolve the issue. When the troubleshooting didn't fix the problem, they honored my warranty without any hassle. Throughout the process, they communicated clearly and made sure I understood each step. As an added bonus, they upgraded my replacement from an Arctis Nova 5X to an Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2, which was a very pleasant surprise. While it's unfortunate that my original headset developed an issue, I'm very impressed with how SteelSeries handled the situation. It's reassuring to see a company stand behind its products and provide excellent customer service. A big thank you to the support team for making the process smooth and professional.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-15

Huge thanks for the awesome review! Sorry your Nova 5X started throwing static into the match, but we’re glad our support squad could step in, work through the troubleshooting quest with you, and get things sorted. And yeah — landing a Nova 7 Gen 2 upgrade is a pretty nice loot drop. Appreciate you giving us the chance to make it right, and thanks for shouting out the team. GG.

Friendly Support, but the Website could be better

The customer support was very friendly, but I feel like the issue I had could have easily been avoided if the website had been a little bit clearer about how to set up the Arctis Nova Elite. The tutorial texts and videos I checked did not mention some of the things that are required.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-15

Thanks for the honest feedback — and fair call. We’re glad the support team was friendly, but we also know it shouldn’t have taken extra effort to figure out the setup. If the guides and videos missed key steps, that’s on us. We appreciate you calling it out, and we’ll share this with the team so the setup journey is clearer for the next player.

if you use steelsereis it will give you popups. How? they install drivers with them that also violate microsoft's rules.I have the keyboard apex 5 and the lcd screen is just very dim and yellow my d letter cant be used(i use alt+100) and the scroll wheel is broken.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-20

Thank you for calling out these problems. What you describe with drivers, popups, and hardware issues is not the level of quality we want, and we’d encourage you to contact our support team so we can look into this. There shouldn't be any pop-ups from SteelSeries appearing. [email protected]

Great service

Rapid response

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-15

Teamwork! Thanks for the review!

Great hardware

Great hardware, really. Software also great too but the beeping sound on low battery is a pain. This should probably encourage people to charge immediately but it's not that easy if you are in the middle of a match. Anyway I wish changing it or lowering the sound will be possible in the future. Customer service is also great

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-15

Love hearing the hardware, software, and support all landed well. And yeah — fair feedback on the low-battery beep. We get how rough that can be when it kicks in mid-match and you’re locked in. Thanks for calling it out — we’ll pass the note along to the team, because more control over that alert would definitely be a nice buff.
