Others also experienced disturbing noise levels from engines or water pipes in their rooms, which affected their rest. A few travelers additionally felt that outdoor seating areas were somewhat limited during the voyage.

Great staff! Good choice of excursions. Something needs to be done about that elevator. A lot of the people on the cruise do have a hard time with the stairs, including myself. To have the elevator not working for 4 to 5 days made it difficult to enjoy the cruise as fully as possible.
I felt I was immersed historically into the developments in and around the Great Lakes over time. The shipping, the development of industry, cities, culture, tourism. The story telling was woven in daily. The ship is clean and the staff is very attentive. They pick up on the things you like very quickly. We were entertained and fed well. This is a small ship so you cannot expect the same experiences you may have had on other cruises. We enjoyed all the communal spaces, the lounge, bar, upper decks, dining rooms. There was something for everyone with plenty of games, puzzles and books. Overall this was a very relaxing and informative vacation. We really enjoyed our time with Victory II.
The service was great. The whole ships crew was very friendly and service was excellent.
Company doing everything right. All staff professional accommodating and fun to talk to.
Great Staff, Lovely ship, Good food and drinks, Good sight seeing . Great Small ship personalized service. Good
The crew was the very best. They knew us by name and catered to our every wish. The food was wonderful and served with care and style. The excursions had the best bus drivers and guides. The on board activities were a true delight, from the house band to the speakers on different the different sites. Fully recommend Victory Cruise line.
The entire experience was superb. Accommodations were comfortable, I especially appreciated the large number of drawers/storage. Service was exemplary, both by Irene (our steward) and Samuel (our dining room server). The onboard band was awesome! Very talented with a broad range of styles and genres--very entertainment. The planned off-ship activities were interesting and efficient. Only the Frank Lloyd Wright excursion was disappointing because it took 3 hours to do SC Johnson, leaving less than an hour to tour the houses designed by FLW.
Food was mediocre...comment most often at our table after being asked how their meal was: "Okay" or "Not bad.
The cruise line met our expectations and beyond. The service was top notch, the food was quite good, the moving from port to port and excursions was very organized. There were 143 people on the ship and we met so many and made some friends. Very nice cruise. I would highly recommend.
Due to many weird circumstances, we were very late in getting to the ship in Toronto Aug 10. We called the Victory 800 number a couple of times to say would be late and when we got there they let down the gangplank and let us on with 15 minutes to spare. Thanks a lot we really appreciate that. The food, drinks, entertainment and staff were all really good esp for small ship. And now we like small ships. We liked all of the shore excursions and we went many places that we should have seen years ago but put off until now eg Ford Museum, Frank L Wright buildings, Chicago skyline. We met some very nice people and had a very good time. When I say nice people I am referring to old timers in their 60-80s. We thought that the small band and singer were really outstanding and they were on stage every night.
We absolutely loved the cruise!! Food, staff, entertainment was wonderful. A few aspects of the cruise could definitely be improved: 1) Pre-Cruise at Toronto - too much down time waiting to be transferred to the ship. Waiting over 3 hours from hotel check out to being picked up for embarkation was much too long! 2) The port of Escanaba was a disappointment, as not much to see or do! 3) Female singer for nightly entertainment did much too much talking about personal experiences, left most of us bored! Nicole was extremely talented and should spend more time singing!!!
Great entertainment! The food and service were outstanding. I liked the size of the ship. Not too much walking.
The services were great but the Wi-Fi was not the best option to rely on for daily activities. A paper copy the night before would have been much better.
We had a fabulous trip traveling The Great Lakes on the Victory I with friends. The food and service was wonderful. Two servers that treated us with special care were Murni who served our meals and Sarah who was our sommelier and cocktail waitress. They both remember what we liked and really made our experience memorable. Further, our cabin steward, made our stay comfortable with a clean room every time we returned.
The trip was fun. The staff was great (especially in the dining room). Most of the excursions were very enjoyable. The nightly entertainment was nice but could be improved with a variety of different activities. The only negative was the time spent in Toronto. It was boring and a waste of time. No meals or hospitality suite to meet the people on the ship. No one to ask questions of the next steps.
Everything was great! Ship was perfect size, staff was exceptional, food was good and the itinerary was very interesting!
This was a great cruise because it was all inclusive, great itinerary with great staff n board.
Ship is immaculate, yes it is old but the best it can be. The crew long time John Waggner employees and love their jobs. Food was good and served with good portion control. Creative menus, lovely desserts for lunch and dinner. Gained 4 pounds..Shore excursions included were wonderful, added ones were quite reasonable. Do not accept Cabin 421, listed as an AA. With a staircase in front of door, life jacket container in front of our cabin. Loved everyday of the adventure. Everyone seemed quite happy as you discuss during dinner, no negative Nellie’s on the ship. Prior hotel (very upscale) and included transfers to the airport were part of the package and made travel so much easier. Looking forward to trying one of their other itineraries.
