Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently praise the incredibly helpful staff for resolving technical problems quickly and efficiently during live chat conversations, noting the exceptional support provided by the team. Many people also appreciate the prompt and polite assistance when dealing with unexpected license activation issues after system updates or hardware changes.
Some reviewers were not happy with occasional long waiting times or receiving invalid access codes that hindered their overall software experience and recovery process. A few users mentioned facing unexpected difficulties with file recovery tools causing complications on their computer systems during sudden system crashes.
i like this program (backup and recover) so paid for a licence, very happy, until, on start up it told me a new versions available would i like to upgrade now, so I did. But going version 12.8 to version 13 meant my licence was no longer invalid. I contacted them and they told me that was correct. I had to uninstall v13, then ask them for a link to version 12.8, which they did. I installed v12.8 and on first use it told me a new version (13) was available and would I Like to download it?. Still no mention that it would invalidate the licence. Very poor.
I purchased Ease US Recovery/Backup, and the first time I tried it, I backed up my Outlook .PST file. After I backed it up, the entire calendar was deleted. The emails remained, but hundreds of meetings, appointments, birthdays, anniversary reminders, etc., were gone. Swapping emails with tech support is inefficient and required two days to get Tech Support. Ewan worked for several hours very diligently to try to recover my missing calendar but was unsuccessful. He claims Ease US is not to blame for erasing my calendar. However, I repeatedly asked Ewan why EASE Us would modify the PST file during backup, and he did not deny that it does.
Because I have lost trust in this product and have no need for any of their other products, I requested a refund. After some negotiation, I received a refund.
Purchased the product EaseUS RecExpert after good reviews and was bitterly dissapointed because the software did not work from the get go (mine is the Logitech Streamcam), relatively new webcam. The picture/video just doesn't show at all. I was able to resolve the issue with EaseUS help on the next business day which was a little late as I need the webcam for the weekend. The issue was quickly resolved on the day when the screenshare could happen
I had the issue with partition manager upgrade and the pc was not booting after the upgrade. The support team was really helpful in trouble shooting the issue with remote desktop service and fixed it in one of my computer. The issue should not have happened in the first place as the upgrade didn't uninstall the previous version properly. And i ended up with the driver conflict which caused the blue screen. And i spent the entire weekend trouble shooting and reinstalling the os on other pc.
I did not have a good experience for I had to contact for extra help in order to recover something I requested to get a refund on. Regardless of the fact I wanted the device or not I was denied the refund and yes the files were recovered after recreating them making the recovery useless. I would recommend to pay them directly to fix rather than buying the software.

We sincerely apologize for the bad experience you had when using our product. If you have contacted our tech support before, can you please let us know the case ticket ID or directly contact us at [email protected]? We will review your case and do our best to help you with it till you get satisfied with our service.
You set everything up and make sure it's saved the you find out a couple weeks later that it never worked. I've been back and forth with this program for a year now and I would not tell anyone to buy it. You're better off just to calendar a backup and do it manually. Also, customer support is 12 hours off.

Hi Tim,
You are suggested to contact our support via the method on this page.

We offer email support (7*24 hours) and Livechat (5*24 hours, 2*8 hours on the weekend). If the chat for technical support is offline, you can contact us via sales chat.
Please contact our support again so that we can help you soon.
The backup worked for two days. Then I got "Backup Failed" error. There is no error log, list of error codes, or any further information, or, if it is there somewhere in the app, it is very well-hidden. Online documentation and FAQ are extensive but vapid and no help.
Customer support is minimal. The prominently featured "Chat" on their website is pre-sales only (=sales). Technical chat and phone hours are 12 hours reversed from North America, midnight to noon, so the only practical option is a slow email conversation over many days. When tech support did respond by email the next day, the message ignored my detailed explanation, including screen shots, and offered instead a “remote session” in which they would essentially take over my computer from China. I declined to do that. The problem was not resolved. Subsequent scheduled backups occurred without error for one week, then another unexplained failure occurred.
Other shortcomings:
File restore does work despite warnings that it wouldn't. The restore log listed five errors and failures, including “destination unknown” and “path to destination too long.” I do not know what these errors mean, but in any case, the restore to the designated directory was successful.
After checking the restored file, I then deleted it, but when I went to empty the recycle bin, I was told I needed administrator privileges to do that. Fortunately, I have those, but I have never before been asked for special privileges to empty the trash, not even around the house.
The software is intrusive and pops up advertising and promotions quite often. Turning off all notifications from the software interface and in windows does not stop it. I found a binary deep in the program files that I was able to rename, hopefully ending that obnoxious behavior.
A thirty-day moneyback guarantee is featured on their website but there is no information on how that might be executed. When I contacted customer support, they declined the refund, saying that it was only possible after a "remote session," (they take over my computer) during their hours (late evening for me), to verify that their software had failed. Nowhere in the sales material does it say that the refund is contingent on software failure. It just says 30-day money-back guarantee. That is a false, or misleading claim.
The application itself can only be launched by someone with system administrator privileges. That is fine for me but not for the rest of my family (I have three licenses).
I have used Backblaze (the paid version) for years, and it does everything I need, quietly and invisibly, with single file-level restore. When I added new computers to my network, I decided to try Easeus because the license is cheaper, but, it turns out, it is much more difficult to live with.
Backblaze has some bad reviews about data restoration after catastrophic failure, whereas Easeus has good reviews for that, especially if you purchase their add-on data restoration products (which I have not tried). It’s hard to know what to believe. When you do a google search on any question about Easeus, you get at least 25 articles provided by Easeus. There are few to no independent reviews of Easeus Todo on the web, leading me to suspect that the company has a massive marketing arm that has successfully swamped criticism. Paid reviewers are, of course, not without priorities. Easeus products are not sold by Amazon or Best Buy so customer evaluation is hard to come by.
I am also looking at Aomei Backup, which has a perfectly competent free version and a very reasonably priced paid verision with more features.
Conclusion: The Easeus backup and restore work, but I am less than enthusiastic, have canceled my subscription and am looking at alternatives.
My 8TB drive failed to be recognized by the operating system and I downloaded easeUS to hopefully recover files. I was having issues with the software so I contacted tech support and Alex responded. He looked at the system and decided he could restore all my files. Alex stayed with me all during the process via TeamViewer and assured me he would make sure all files were completely recovered. I felt he is very professional and definitely knew what he was doing. The only downside was the unexpected cost, and I realize that probably was beyond is control. I would recommend him and his company to anyone that needs help with their precious and important data. I have not had a chance to make sure everything was copied, but Alex assured me they have.
Follow up. After spending several hours, I found at least 60 files that were corrupted. I ended up getting the original software to work and am drugingly slowly copying the corrupt files. The files on the original drive were not corrupt. Alex assured me they were copied ok. When I sent an e mail to his company, I got an e mail from another tech that suggested I just try other programs to read the files. Which did not work either!! Alex also told me even if I could get the original software to work, the files would be garbled. I actually could sift through them ok. Sooooo.... Did I waste $300 plus dollars when in reality I could have done it myself after all? Alex was good, but i am really wondering if he was really needed after all?
After a few days, I ended up copying over 380 files that alex assured me were all ok. I now have all my files done. Think twice before you pay someone over 300 to save fires from a drive when you end up having to do a lot on your own.
Bill

Dear Bill,
We are sorry to hear that. Your files can be recovered as long as the lost files were not overwritten or damaged. Alex wants to further help you and we also replied to your email and made an appointment of the remote session time. Please further check the email and contact Alex at the scheduled time. Thank you for your cooperation.
I purchased this software because I wanted to clone my OS to my new SSD. Unfortunately, the software didn't seem to work very well on its own. My computer would not boot after following all instructions thoroughly. This was disappointing considering it's supposed to be quick and easy. The upside to this was the tech support team taking care of the problem for me remotely. They were helpful and got it to work properly.
One of my external HDDs wouldn't show up, not because the disk had died but because the SATA interface card had malfunctioned. After taking the disk out and connecting it to another interface card, I discovered that the disk was not readable because the disk had been converted into RAW format. I installed EaseUS Partition Manager (henceforth EPM) and EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard (henceforth EDRW).
EDRW showed I had 2 partitions for some reason, which was a bit of a surprise, as I had never re-partitioned this drive, so it should have been a single 4TB partition. Anyway, EDRW scanned for 12-15 hours and then showed that I had 5.7TB of data stored on a 4TB drive (usable space 3.63TB)!! Like, what?! But it also showed I had a Lost Partition of 4TB (which violated its own data of showing me I had 2 partitions). So I tried to recover that partition using EPM. EPM scanned for 23 hours and then said no lost partitions found, while their own EDRW software told me there was.
Total waste of time. Wasted 2 whole days of mine and god knows how much of my HDDs life was reduced due to this 2 day long scanning process across both software at which point its internal temp rose to 53 degrees celcius.
I then asked around in a forum and was told to use TestDisk. Its freeware, very rudimentary command line interface, but it detected almost immediately that I had a single partition of 4GB, but that my BootDiskSector was corrupted. Unfortunately, it was not able to recover the BDS, but fortunately, it also showed all the correct files I had on the HDD, and I was able to recover these files by copying them to another HDD.
EaseUS softwares wasted my time and resources, while a rudimentary freeware got the job done.
would not recover files from a ssd just current files, would not honor there money back guarantee, claiming it was the SSD even though their website says;
"Accidentally formatted a hard drive and caused data loss? Calm down a bit. All lost files are recoverable. No matter it is an HDD, SSD, SD Card, Memory Card, Flash Drive, USB Drive, and Pen Drive, data recovery software can find what you want and won't let you down."
I was able to receive a refund and cancel the product so my review went from 1 to 3 stars.
Dear EaseUS, the latest version of the software has a huge problem. It enlarges when I open it. Before that, it was fine. Please explain and fix this in your next update because I regret updating the software because it has done nothing but brought me problems.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your message.
EaseUS has many products, could you please contact us via email [email protected] and let me know the exact product and the issue? Our technician will further analyze it to see it is an issue of our product or your computer environment.
Been using the product since v12.9. really happy with it, all the way up to 13.8 where I had a little trouble with very high resolutions. The tech I worked with (Gap) remoted to my machine, looked at the install and knew exactly what to modify to fix my issue (he gets 5 stars) and get me all straightened out. I'll suggest they put that fix in their FAQs. Seems like some good info to have.
3/23/20 Edit: Fixes didn't stick Have to reach out to support again.
4/6/20 Update: the scaling issues I had with 13.8 are not resolved. Gonna have to wait for a new version to see if that fixes it.
UPDATE 2/28/2020: Mark performed the remote session but unfortunately my files were not recovered. Too bad this product did not work for me. I am giving them 3 stars for their effort to resolve the issue. At first, they only wanted to issue HALF refund but I insisted on FULL REFUND. Good thing they refunded the full amount.
If there is 0 Star, I would give that! Suddenly my external drive can't be read on my desktop and laptop PCs. I tried to look for a data recovery program and found EaseUS. I first used the TRIAL version and showed me the files I wanted to be recovered but you need to purchase the Pro version to use the full feature of the product so I paid, 69.95$. But when I used the PRO version, it does not do its job and the MONEY BACK GUARANTEE is misleading because of this and that yada yada reasons. You should RETURN THE MONEY back to my PAYPAL account because your program is NOT working, period!
I was able to recover my files by opening my external hard drive and plug it directly to the motherboard and power source! I only bought an extra SATA cable to do it (advised by an IT friend) and that costs less than a dollar!

Dear Customer,
We are very sorry to hear that. Our refund policy clearly states that an analysis is always necessary before the refund. We maintain a large crew of highly capable professionals for this purpose. In most cases, our technician needs to try several solutions to get your lost data back and we need your cooperation to recover your lost files during the process.
We are able to issue a refund to you if our technician did not recover your lost files and you have recovered it using another method, we can issue a refund to you, please contact our support and give us your order information so that they can further help you in refund issue.
=== English ===
The data recovery program does not check the consistency of the files and therefore the real possibility of recovering them, if you are lucky you pay and it will recover your files, otherwise it will not recover anything. The lack of a "recoverability measure" of files makes the trial version misleading because it makes you believe you can recover them. I highly recommend not buying it, you should look for other software that provides an assessment of the actual possibility of recovering files before payment.
I invite you to read the other reviews, in good percentage they speak of the technical assistance that was able to solve the problem, therefore, in reality, what do you buy, the software or the assistance?
In the end they decided to refund me, I modified a part of the review (the one relating to refunds) and I gave 3 stars because the evaluations made on the lack of a measure on the actual possibility of recovering the files remain valid. The trial version should show the probability of success on file recovery before you buy it.
=== Italiano ===
After posting this easyUS did contact and did refund the cost. I will remove this review per agreement to get the refund
Does not work. Purchased to do a simple lost data recovery. Files found were corrupt. Contacted AVG and Geek Squad data recovered with out issue. Both said software has been an ongoing issue for them. they have to try to recover files that were corrupted buy this software. They want you to purchase more of their software instead of refunding funds. They do not reply to tech support request in a timely manure.
The software purchase is so tricky and not clear, they activate auto renewal for subscription, and deduct a monthly subscription fees, be careful if you are using it for 1 month and cancel auto renewal.
They refuse to refund the auto renewal when I contacted them even though it was 3 hrs after I received activation and fee deduction & I did not even use the new activation code - so disappointing.

Dear Shahir,
EaseUS has the lifetime license and the subscription monthly/yearly license, you can choose the lifetime license if you really do not want to renew it each month/year.
You are agreed with the monthly subscription, so it charged from your account every month. You are able to cancel the subscription yourself if you really do not need to use the software.
Support is good, without customer support really difficult for a layman to use this software.
Mr. Ken Zhou -105234525 (live chat support), was patient enough to answer my queries.
Recovering backed up files proved intricate and complex requiring contact with technician.
The specific instruction pages for EaseUS Todo software seem clear, but I had great difficulty navigating to appropriate pages. Without the guidance and direct assistance of engineer Syche
I doubt that I would have been able to independently recover my files.
Please note that the 3 star rating reflects only my evaluation of the software and associated instructions. Recovering files from backup software should not be an obscure and intricate process.
Were I asked to rate the support and patient assistance supplied by Syche, I would award 5 stars.
It's hard to find inexpensive, good-performing software with fair support. After shopping around, and looking at reviews for different publishers of disc cloning software I settled on EaseUS's Disk Copy Pro. EaseUS answered my pre-sales questions fairly well.
Purchase and installation weren't overly-complicated. I installed Disk Copy Pro on the laptop from which I wanted to clone it's drive to a new drive. The installation went OK.
My second attempt at cloning the drive succeeded. But the newly cloned drive wouldn't boot the computer. After some chat conversations with EaseUS, they moved the license for the software to my desktop where their software would work easier and faster.
I explained that I didn't have time to mess around for days in trying things, and that I needed the clone to be easily and quickly cleaned-up to work properly. They then offered to check the cloned drive in a remote support session.
Their engineer's name for the session was said to be Jesse. I'd already attached the cloned drive to my desktop computer and Jesse ran DOS commands (at which he's very quick) to clean up some partitions on the cloned drive. Then I reinstalled the cloned drive into the laptop and it booted successfully.
I offered them an Average rating because they needed to do a support session to solve the issues on the freshly cloned drive which made it un-bootable. This was my first use of their software and I expect software to work the first time without issues.
But Jesse did fix it fairly quickly and knows what he's doing. Considering that I paid just a litte for their software and their clone clean-up tech support I feel like we made a fair deal. Glad I found them. AskWoody.com, a well-known computer wizard's support and information site, has a list of invaluable utilities and EaseUS software is on it.
