Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently shared stories about terrible issues with customer service, pointing out that support teams were completely unhelpful and ignored their requests. Consumers also noted unexpected extra fees, disorganized booking processes, and severe flight delays that completely ruined their travel plans.
Conversely, a small portion of people felt the journey was comfortable and praised the polite cabin crew during their trips. Travelers also stated that online booking was smooth and efficient, while some individuals found the overall ticket prices to be very reasonable for a budget airline service.
A very poor airline with 1. Appaling seats - just hard and not cushioned 2. Really poor tea and coffee 3. Food aweful. In the connecting flight from Chennai to Port Blair was not offered ot despite paying for it. 4. In flight service poor generally. 5.Poor customer care. 6. Complex frequent flyer programme with limited if non existent back office infrastructure.
All in all a bus service in the air and not that cheap. Not great. In fact a waste of money. Should have stuck to AI. Tried for the first and hopefully last time. AVOID if you can.
I was travelling alone and I was denied boarding for a flight 30 minutes before boarding and told numerous lies as to why. There were three other people in the waiting room who had been denied boarding on separate flights too. This company over books flights and denies boarding to people travelling alone. DO NOT BOOK WITH INDIGO.
I requested a refund/compensation and I have received nothing. I had to purchase a replacement ticket last minute with an alternative airline and I have not received a penny in compensation.
Where is my refund. You rescheduled the flight almost immediately afer you sold it. Now you will not give me my money back. This has got theft and fraud written all over it.
First of all the lady at the counter did not know anything. Paid for excess baggage once gave a receipt not found in the system. This is my fault. Second time I pay I pay cash they don’t have change. Takes 20 min to get 200 rupees that is 1.80 euro. A disgrace for India. Narayan does not know what customer support is. Also the way how he speaks like you’re a number not a person. I would totally not recommend to fly this airlines. The support is a disgrace
The thieving scum refuse to refund me for the flight they cancelled. Where is my refund? They are liars and cheats. Sell flights and cancel them two days later. Then when you try to get your money back, they hide behind their stupid customer service agents that just spew out the same AI tosh without looking into anything.
Rubbish flight they charged me 9£ for wine which never served me in the flight. Very disappointing behaviour.
Never fly by this cheap and rubbish airline.
The staff were so attentive! They looked after us so well during the flight. Everything was perfect. I would definitely fly with them again. Special thank you to Tanisha, Aparna, Ariana, Chandon, Shreya from Lucy and Geraldine in Ireland
Worst international flight experience with indigo. Rough wooden like seats. Chilling cold - can’t reach the controls to close air went. Blankets at extra £5 . Cheap vegetarian food. They cancel connection domestic glightfor business gain’s disrupting the journey of emergency passengers too
Worst airline experience after travelling to 28 countries
My first experience with IndiGo, and 2 out of my 3 originally booked flights were cancelled. After the first cancellation, we arrived at the airport at 8am only to find we had been rebooked onto a 10am flight from another airport more than 1.5 hours away during peak-hour traffic. Only after we pointed out that we could not possibly make the flight were we moved to a later replacement flight, which was also cancelled.
A few days later, another of our originally booked flights was cancelled, with little to no customer service.
The refund process for this second cancellation has been just as frustrating. We were told at the airport that we would receive a refund, but it was never initiated. When I followed up, I was told that all applicable refunds had been processed when they had not. It took 16 emails back and forth before IndiGo acknowledged that another refund was due. They then quoted an amount that appears to cover only one of the two passengers. After 18 emails, hours spent going back and forth, and more than a month, I still have not received any refund.
I have travelled to 28 countries and flown with many airlines, and this has easily been my worst airline experience. I have only ever written positive reviews for companies, but this experience was troubling enough that I felt others should know about it.
Been a loyal customer of Indigo and have taken at least 100 flights in last 18 months (yes 100 plus flights) and yet not received any benefits till date. Today I requested for a flight schedule change and for that too they charged me in full without offering any service gesture. Very bad way of handling loyal customers

I simply asked to take my carry on bag as check in bag but was denied after being asked to wait for 10 mins. Compared to other airlines this is really disappointing especially when they have the space to accommodate a 5kg small bag.
The flight attendants Masiba and Tanzim were extremely courteous and humane. I am a wheel chair pax and I recvd great care. Flew from Bom to Gox by 5177. On landing at Gox a pax dropped his cabin baggage (large enough to be check in) which landed on my legs and gave me two large cuts. This was bleeding profusely. One of the attendants rushed with done first aid which helped to reduce the bleeding. I went through a months treatment in goa to get the wounds healed. Care should be taken to assure that such huge baggage should not be permitted in the cabin. My sincere and grateful thanks and gratitude to the flight attendant. God bless you. Frequent changes to internal domestic flights causing significant Challeges to planned tight Trip in North India. Why are you doing this Indigo as it disrupts so many plans.
Broken suitcase no customer support, very incompetent, horrible service
I booking.com to book a flight with IndiGo,They Broke my suitcase, and after filing a report at the destination airport and contacting customer service I have received no appropriate response, just I have received 10 auto generated AI responses signed by names of people which are clearly bots. They ask me to contact them using the email I used for booking. Not understanding that if Booking is done though a 3rd party the registered email is auto generated which I dont have access to, so I can write from (note that I have shared the email used for booking, but I cannot write email from it because it is a temporary email generated by booking.com). So I you use any 3rd party to book a ticket with them be WARNED you are not going to get any customer support. Just repeated idiotic auto-generated responses from their AI bots that doesn't not help with anything. Horrible customer support horrible experience will never uses this airline again.
Dear IndiGo Customer Service Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred at Jakarta Airport on 4 September 2026 involving my domestic worker, who was booked on IndiGo flight 6E1602 to Oman.
She was denied boarding because she did not have the original physical Omani Residence Card with her. However, she had a clear copy/photo of her valid Omani Residence Card on her mobile phone.
I subsequently booked her a ticket with another airline, and they accepted her documents and allowed her to travel without requiring the original physical Residence Card.
This experience has caused me significant inconvenience, additional expenses, and unnecessary stress. I believe such requirements should be clearly communicated to passengers before accepting their booking and payment, especially when they can result in a passenger being denied boarding at the airport.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be booking any future flights with IndiGo.
Honestly, I would rather give a zero. The airline staff was horrible. We had a group of 18 people and a flight from Navi Mumbai Airport to North Goa Mopa. We had accidentally booked ticket for a member with her unregistered name. The airline didn't allow her to enter the airport. I know that it's are mistake but she is mother to a toddler. The toddler traveled without her mother and we had to book a new flight for the mother 2 hour later than planned. Moreover we had booked a full ticket for the toddler by paying extra money. At checkin, the airline staff canceled it to a half ticket without returning the extra money. This is truly wrong and the airline staff showed zero sense of humanity. I would highly recommend everyone to never fly with this ruthless airline.
My flight from Mumbai to Amsterdam got delayed by over 5 hours, which led to me missing my connecting flight from Amsterdam.
I tried to reach the Indigo contact number, but that routes to their call centre who told me they are not allowed to do the rebooking. And when I sent an email to customer.experience@goindigo in, I got a reply saying "we will share an update with you within 24–48 hours" whilst I was already stuck in Amsterdam airport for over 10 hours.
DNata at Amsterdam airport also told me they cannot rebook, and that I have to book the flight myself and get a refund from IndiGo. But I have less than 1% trust of them refunding me.
The IndiGo contact person at Mumbai also lied to me that a new flight booking would be done for me when I get to Amsterdam.
Avoid IndiGo
I am writing to formally complain about my extremely disappointing experience while travelling from London to Chandigarh via Delhi on 10th September.
My flight from London was scheduled to depart at 8:15 PM, but it actually departed at around 9:20 PM. The scheduled arrival time in Delhi was 11:00 AM, but my flight actually arrived at around 12:10 PM.
After landing in Delhi, I completed immigration and collected my luggage. By around 1:30 PM, I had already reached the domestic airport and was inside the IndiGo area for my connecting flight to Chandigarh, which was scheduled for 2:00 PM.
However, instead of helping me, the IndiGo staff refused to accept me and kept sending me from one place to another. I was first told to go to another zone, and then I was told that I needed to drop my luggage. I was already rushing because of the delay, but the staff kept sending me between different counters and zones instead of giving me clear and proper assistance.
Because of this poor coordination and lack of assistance, my 2:00 PM connecting flight to Chandigarh was missed.
What made the situation even worse was that when I went for rebooking, IndiGo staff initially asked me to pay ₹3,000 for the new ticket. I questioned why I should pay when the situation was caused by the delayed flight and the lack of proper assistance from IndiGo. After I explained everything, they eventually agreed and rebooked my flight without charging me the ₹3,000.
I had already travelled a very long distance from London, and after reaching Delhi I was left running around between different counters without anyone taking responsibility or giving me a clear answer.
I also paid a higher fare expecting my baggage to be handled through to Chandigarh, but at London I was told that I had to collect and drop my baggage again in Delhi.
This entire experience was extremely stressful, frustrating and unacceptable. I paid a premium fare but received unclear information, poor coordination and inadequate customer support.
I request IndiGo to properly investigate this incident and provide a clear explanation and appropriate resolution for the inconvenience and stress caused to me.
