Hi Ely, Thanks for your review. The USPS requires that the Form 1583 be notarized to help prevent fraud, protecting both you and the mail center. Many mail centers allow you to sign the form in their presence, in which case notarization may not be required. The USPS requires that Form 1583 be completed, notarized, and filed with proper IDs to help prevent fraud, protecting both you and the mail center. This is required in order for the mail center to accept mail on your behalf. Many mail centers allow you to sign the form in their presence, in which case notarization may not be required. To notarize your form without going to your mail center, you need to use the online notary service for $25. When forms are submitted, they are reviewed and approved if in order. The submitted IDs must match what was chosen on the form, and you must use USPS acceptable IDs. Also note that we partner with an online notary to offer a streamlined process. Our goal is total transparency. Our strategy is to charge the lowest monthly mailbox fee possible and then charge customers only for the optional services they choose, like scanning mail content, shredding, or forwarding. We believe this is the fairest way to price, so people who don’t need optional services do not subsidize the people that do. You can also take advantage of our discount bundles to save money on scanning and shredding.
