Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently encountered persistent internet disruptions, extremely slow connection speeds, and unexpected service drops throughout the entire duration of their broadband contract. Many people also experienced billing complications, including unexpected charges, hidden fees, and rigid renewal terms that caused financial frustration. Some reviewers were not happy with the unhelpful customer support and excessively long delays when attempting to get technical assistance for faulty equipment. However, some people mentioned that resolving any problem was nearly impossible due to unresponsive agents and automated responses that provided zero practical solutions.

On 12 Aug 2016 called in to inform of a red blinking light on my modem. Initially was thinking that its was due to my one month outstanding however aft checking was informed that service would be as per normal and the billing department would get the technical support team to call with regards to the red blinking light. Waited but received no call from them so decided to call directly to Technical Support. Surprisingly my call was picked up within minutes. Technical Support busy? I doubt so. So then I informed about the red blinking light and was told that they will get the onsite technician to call and make an appt. Until the next day there was no call so followed up again as require the net up for work and business advertising. Fancy a customer having to chase aft them and not vice versa. Again was told that they will get an onsite technician to call and make an appointment. By then for a moment my modem resumed and internet was back online for a few minutes. Then I realised that it may be because of the cable on their server end was taken off port causing the red aka no signal sign. So again no onsite tech called. Following day being angry with the down time and taken like a fool, I called again and informed that this issue will be forwarded to the police if the down time continues until the end of the day. Miraculously after ending the call, my internet resumed without having an onsite technician to come down. Today, 16 August 2016, service was down again from day til I returned home around 1735hrs. No red blinking light nothing. When I turned on both modem and router, was happily surfing the net for about 20mins and the internet simply just went off. All indicators on router and modem are as per normal when there is internet, only that now I cant surf. They had simply changed the network setting and again treating me as a fool. Called direct to their Technical Support hotline, guess what? Expect a template reply and I did receive just that....sir I will arrange an appointment tomorrow for an onsite technician to visit you. For any person running a business, time is always money. Im counting the down time that I suffering now until they rectify the problem, without having to pay a visit. A thinking that comes to my mind, the modem...the router....are those refurbished products that they really need to come down and have a check on it? Or are they just buying time? DO NOT BELIEVE the good remarks there is...for all you know its just a cover up. Im only going into my 3rd month with them and I am going through so much inconvenience. Extremely disappointed with the Technical Support as well as the internet service provided. Spread the word.
After signing a contract with them, they give ZERO updates and reminders, and any attempts to contact them is met with their irritating answer service. Installation happened on time, with a very competent technician. However, after the technician left, the connection cut off. I presume the head office gave the technician some temporary connection methods to allow them to "show" the customer that it "works". Attempts to contact any member of VQ was met with their same "disappearing act" method of avoiding any contact with the customer. After 46 calls to their "24/7 technical hotline", I reached one guy, Calvin, who said that he would investigate and call me back. He only called me back 7 hours later (at 11pm) to ask me to check if I could confirm the service was working for me. Currently it is working okay, but based on the overall experience, I cannot say that VQ is worthy of keeping their promises.
My dad changed to viewqwest from singtel, simply because it was cheaper, but in the end he used peanuts, and he got a monkey. Even simple pages to load like wikipedia pages, google search, etc took about half a minute to load, internet was cut off constantly and having to reconnect again and again, my ping in all online games shot up to 1000+, making them completely unplayable. Vids now have an infinite buffer time as well. VQ is also not a new internet service provider, and other newer internet service providers like MyRepublic have a better reputation. VQ servers also get bugs very frequently, leading to poor internet service. VQ also has an empty promise of having good internet speed If u want a decent internet service, go for Singtel/MyRepublic/Starhub.
I have been a fan of viewqwest residential plan for years now. months ago i started a lan shop and got viewqwest sme fiber plan. to my dismay, they do maintainence around 2am on a weekend and not having backup, hence we get cutoff from the net. my shop operates 24 hr and in 5 months they have had 4 maintence and leaving me hanging. the account manager told me that viewqwest promise 99.9% uptime and not 100% and they dont allow me to downgrade my 1gbps plan so that i can get another service provider. they are just bad. sigh ';..;'
Great .. I visited Singapore and used the Internet from a coffee shop while eating. I was totally amazed with the speed. I asked the waiter what's the internet connection used on their WiFi and they told me it's from Viewqwest. Keep up the consistent connection.
Take it or leave it kind of attitude. Focused on only binding a contract, all other issues to iron out later but not without fights and rude replies and threats to complain to CASE. I chose Viewqwest corporate for SME because of their no limit on international bandwidth. MyRepublic has it too and I will be considering to take it up soon as I serve my advance Notice To Terminate. ViewQwest is only after quick sales. Not interested in the client.
Horrible experience with viewqwest. Dishonest salespeople who are more interested in arguing than genuine customer concerns. Totally unacceptable misappropriation of customer deposit for charges that they make up as they go along. Ask for your money back-this being after they have levied numerous bogus charges against you- and you get no help, no returned messages, nothing. So frustrated in the end I referred them to CASE in Singapore.
View quest came to install the new OTN/router yesterday evening. However, they failed to test if the internet connection is stable. After wasting 2 hours of my time yesterday trying to troubleshoot the problem with technicians , the problem persist. Firstly, this is a NEW SETUP and I should not be troubleshoot a NEW SETUP ISSUE. Secondly, the last technician promise to call back after 10 mins and DID NOT. Thirdly, I have call the customer service the next morning and ask for a technician to come down and fix or replace the router BUT NO REPLY the whole day. I am quite disappointed with the view quest installation. I have previous experience with starhub and current Singtel and did not face a new installation problem although i have issues with internet connections with both as well in the past. Hence, i may be unlucky to get a faulty box but the responsibility of ensuring the box is WORKING should be view quest and not me. I have given them the ultimatum, either send someone or I will cancel and raise formal compliant. Lets see how they respond
This company is claiming to be the fastest but after 1 month of subscription they have capped my speed, I am on 300MBPS and I am getting 1mbs MAX download when I was getting 3MBS before and 6MBS upload I mean transfer rate, then suddenly 200KBS and now 170kbps awesome, if they are claiming to be not capping or shaping or using transparent proxy why am I getting this speed, It can be a malware or something but I have used 3 different computers bought a new laptop change cables, change router and still the same! Well I am not to bragging but my wife and I are network engineers, programmers, We worked in networks and we are aware of possible issues in which we have tried everything to fix that may caused the slowness, I have contacted their support many times and they promised to call me back but no avail! I sent an email to cancel their service and not bill me in advance but they still did! What a sucker. I do not recommend this ISP
I have a few thoughs before signing up but after reading a few reviews from the forums i took the risk and sign up the Raptor 200 + IPTV + Onevoice + FreedomVPN. Installation was handled smoothly by their excellent technician, Took less then 15 min to get the service up. Speedtest before he went off to make sure everything alright, He wasn't rushing through like those "Big 3 camp" After a week of usage their VPN went down but i was keep up to date via Forum, Email and Phonecall. They actually call you again to tell you that their VPN is up and running and whether i am still having probkems accessing a not. Final conclusion Their Network Operation Centre (NOC) is quick and top notch Their Fibre speed always burst 20mbps more then what you subscribe They give you static IP for free They give you Media Player for their IPTV for free They give you speedboost during selected timing for free WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU WANT ? Come and join them now ! Recommending this ViewQwest to everybody whose signing up or jumping from other telco !
Very satisfied when the internet service is running smoothly. However there have been connection issues since signing up but hopefully it won't be frequent. On a side note the WDTV box is very disappointing after finally receiving it. I understand it's supposedly "free" but it's quite useless to be honest. The interface is laggy, WIFI seems poor and the picture at least for my box malfunctions with HDMI. Thank goodness I own a media console to see the difference in performance (PS3). Overall though I am very happy with ViewQwest: the primary internet connection, VPN and customer services are top notch (most notably customer rep: Jenni Bagabaldo) and I could well envision myself being a long term customer.
a. Performance generally good though not fantastic. Testing the download and upload at different parts of the day, good for most of the time. b. 2 outages within 2 weeks though fixing it is fast. Reason backend changes. In the first place, backend changes shouldn't affect client or at least validate it does not impact client. c. Customer service needs to improve. Wrong billing and when contacted, bouncing call to different party. No single point of owning the issue. d. Given the issues and contacts experience so far, it doesn't warranty the high premium paid compare to other providers. e. Poor to extremely low technical competency staff to resolve issue. Internet could be down with more than 12 hours without resolution.
Hi Jenni, Erwin, thank you so much for the great customer service, speedy set-up and for explaining everything to me. Really appreciate it. Cheers
Top notch ISP that listens first and delivers its promises. It's truly a refreshing experience that blows the competition away with its state-of-the art infrastructure, customer service team and technical support. Thank you!
Viewqwest is a high quality ISP and the speeds are fast with only one outage experience since I signed up, yet that was resolved quickly. I had some minor initial setup problems when configuring at home to use my personal router but the customer support was helpful and quick at getting back to me. Would recommend Viewqwest to provide more information at installation with details on how to set up your own personal router as well as instructions for using the VPN.
So far Viewqwests hardware and speeds have met all my expectations, with awesome speed, and hardware that hasn't had a need to be reset! Thank God!
I signed up in May 2012 for a monthly Fibernet 200 contract and have so far been very satisfied with the following services: 1. the consistent speed for what I have contracted for. This is a First for Singapore's Internet Service Provider. 2. really swift technical responses. VQ have responded swiftly to all my queries. They do not just answer my question, they actually address my problems (which range from VQ's specific technical issues and totally non VQ issues ie. Dlink router issues, port forwarding issues etc). Not having to call various providers to iron out my connectivity concerns makes a truly pleasant experience. Another First. 3. free Static IP. I didn't expect to be a free static IP port of my own in Singapore. I have always wondered why there isn't any forward looking ISP who would provide static IPs as a norm instead of treating it as a revenue stream. I am really pleased that VQ made such a provision shortly after I signed up. This offering makes all the difference to our internet-connected city. Another First for VQ. 4. Additional services - I am happy to note that VQ have rolled out services like VPN and testing Usenet services. This really makes our internet experience so much more open and inclusive. WELL DONE! Finally, a truly enjoyable Internet experience in Singapore. I hope VQ will continue to provide customers with the same level of quality service. Most of all, that VQ will continue to operate in the business model that show that they are interested in what the customer needs, and not just how much money they can make. I am certain that would automatically come about with the great service they provide.
I bought a package with a supposed dedicated line to the home thus eliminating or at least minimising the drops in bandwidth at busy times. I'm afraid that's not how it works at times. Sometimes the bandwidth is worse than the old broadband (ie: prior to fibre)
I was told at the point of signing up in June for the Residential Fibernet service, that my existing digital voice number from Starhub could be ported over in July. However, this was not fulfilled and that there is no specific date when this will be possible.
