Bad experience with UPS
I would always rate BikeFlights higher if they used FedEx versus UPS. UPS has given me a very negative experience of BikeFlights. I would rather spend the extra money with FedEx outright than BikeFlights with UPS.

UPS has done a number on us with the laser measuring. We now have to make the customer provide their own labels, and even with inflating the numbers they have been charged extra after the fact.
Very fast, very nice customer support. Little expensive but worth paying for it.
I shipped a bike and it got to its destination. What more can i ask for.
Cut and dried. Easy to use.
The heavy construction of the Bikeflight packing box really did it's job. And Bikeflight tracked my bike all the way to it's endpoint. Working with Bikeflight was the easiest part of shipping my bike.
Bike Flights was great! I thought the service was reasonably priced, my bike got here fast and undamaged. I did pay to have it professionally packaged. I recently shipped two bikes. For both bikes they reached back out for photos of proof of the actual dimensions, like with a ruler. I think that is reasonable since the box size was very close to the limit and I only say this to prepare someone for this reality and be ready to take photos and email them. Once I did this the process was super smooth. Their customer service was awesome.
I liked the service, and I will use it again, but the Trek Brooklyn Cobble Hill location was not available as shipping option in your site. I had to choose the Trek Manhattan Stuyvesant location
Quick and effective response. Fixed my problem with the shipper address.
Really great personalize (WITH A HUMAN) response and follow up by email.
The customer care team was great to work with, ensuring the box was within UPS limits. The price was fair. The only area of opportunity was the box was damaged on delivery, but that’s on UPS. This was the second time I’ve used them and would recommend to anyone needing to ship a bike. Definitely get the insurance. Bikeflight cares, but the carriers don’t.
Love the quick delivery times and the fair pricing!
Fast easy and trustworthy! I’ve shipped many bikes through this platform and every shipment has been on time & cost effective! Big fan! I’ll be sending more bikes out this week! Thanks for an amazing platform!!
Prices have gone up over 400% since I last used this service appx 4yrs ago. Had three bikes to ship, was literally cheaper to fly there and bring two back. Couldn't swing the third on the plane and the cost to ship was $600 for a single bloody bike. Will definitely find a better option next time.
Hello, We completely understand the frustration of seeing a higher total than you remember from four years ago, especially when you’re shipping three bikes. We did want to clarify one important detail about this shipment, though: the total was **$505.11**, but the actual shipping charge was **$224.56**. The remaining **$271.55 was for $15,000 of protection**, and the **$9 pickup fee** brought the total to $505.11. So the cost to actually ship the bike was considerably less than the $600 referenced in the review. We certainly recognize that prices have increased significantly across the transportation industry over the past several years, and we understand that doesn’t make the current cost any easier to swallow. We’re sorry the pricing didn’t work for your trip, and we appreciate you giving BikeFlights another try after several years away. - The Bikeflights Team
Delivered on time and in perfect condition.
There was a shipping dispute with carrier (assuming UPS) on box size. The box dimensions were clearly written on the box. The carrier disputed that the recorded width of 10" was actually 12", thus disputing two inches and wanting to charge an additional 60 dollars. I provided photos showing actual measurement of just over 9 inches. So the reported dimensions were actually rounded UP to 10 inches. I think UPS wanted to be paid for shipping bike. Anyway, the issue was resolved. Thank you.
I ship a lot of bikes and frames internationally with BikeFlights. ANYTIME there is a problem with customs departments in other countries Bikeflights lets me know before the customer even has to deal with it and has a plan to communicate with their agents. The bikes always get there. David Turner Turner Bikes
