What people say

Do not invest your money with them

Do not invest your money with them, They will not give it back if you need it. Do not consider it liquid as they do everything in their power to not let you withdraw YOUR money. I’m fighting them now to retrieve MY money as I just lost my company of 17 years and am going through a bankruptcy. Again, steer clear of this investment platform!

Not a scam, just bad at RE investing.

Fundrise is a legitimate company, not a scam. But after 4 years of parking thousands of dollars with the company, my net return is -0.3%. So literally I would have been better putting cash in my mattress or leaving it in my 0% interest checking account. I did a comparison, and my returns with a traditional REIT would have been almost 26%. I'm dumbfounded that a company with such slick marketing and such lofty rhetoric could underperform so wildly. The worst part is that now that I've finally decided to close my account and redeem my cash, they estimate I'll lose another 10% in order to redeem. By the way, this redemption will happen in more than 90 days, and they're just going to keep my money until then. So my $5,000 investment will be more like $4,400 after 4.5 full years. I 1,000% would not recommend investing with them. Just put your money in a traditional REIT instead.

I asked to close and liquidate my fund…

I asked to close and liquidate my fund and they only returned half of my money, stating that that they were restructuring the accounts..the same excuse they gave for the delay giving me part of my funds in the first place. My funds were all in the same account.. so no excuse for not returning all of it. So now it's been 6 months, they are still giving the same excuse..they apparently believe that once they have my money it's theirs. They are blaming it on some agency that won't allow them to return it until the settlement date, which of course they will not share with me. My advice..DO NOT GIVE THEM A CENT.

Disappointed After 4 Years — Not Worth It Compared to S&P 500

I’m sharing my experience after 4 years with Fundrise. I invested $5,000 in October 2021, and as of October 2025, my account shows about a $200 loss. During the same time, the S&P 500 grew by more than 30%. The withdrawal process is also not smooth — I requested a withdrawal a month ago, received $4,600, and still have about $300 left with no clear way to withdraw it. Maybe I invested at the wrong time, but overall, it doesn’t feel worth it. In my opinion, investing directly in the S&P 500 index fund would have been a much better and simpler choice.

Easy to understand app that actually has returns

I've used services like this before, but something about Fundrise's communications and their UI has made me convert to only using them. I'm not the brightest when it comes to these things so I appreciate how simple it was to get into, make decisions around how I want my money invested, and make adjustments as needed. It is obviously extra nice that I am actually seeing my funds slowly increase over time. Thanks!

Fundrise is Powerful, Confident Financial Tool

Fundrise is easy to use, and it makes investing in private entities easy. Growth may be slow, at times, and it may even be negative for a quarter, but the tri-partite nature of investments in Real Estate, Private Credit, and Innovation creates a powerful, confident growth resource in your portfolio.

Real Estate Crowd Funding without being accredited

The fees are higher than an index fund would be but I think of them like property management fees. Fundrise is a great way for non-accredited investors to get some passive real estate exposure. Their venture fund is also the only way I know of to get into private tech companies without having a seat at those tables. Anything that makes investing less exclusive is okay by me.

Fundrise investing is a unique experience

Fundrise’s diversified portfolio offers compelling exposure to alternative investments typically reserved for institutional investors. The platform’s interface is remarkably intuitive, making complex asset classes like REITs and private credit accessible to everyday investors. By democratizing access to real estate, private credit, and private equity investments with low minimums, Fundrise has carved out a distinctive position in the retail investment space.

I think it’s phenomenal

I think it’s phenomenal. I haven’t had a loss yet. I just wish the percentages were a little bit better but honestly, there’s no stress with it the platform is pretty easy to use and it helps choose who you wanna invest into by groups. I think it’s a great deal if you have money, just to throw it to an account and sit for a while. The team even emails you when they have new options and interest opening up in the company I think that’s probably the best part where you having an advantage of other companies. The only downside is that I hate that it takes like three months to get your money back.
