What people say

It's easy and FUN! Stock Parties are cool. Join now!

Stash has proven itself time and again through their app/program that investing longterm, even incrementally, is the way to a better future. Stash has gamified the stock market, and I find it fun and satisfying to participate. I loved being a founding member. Bring back metal debit cards! Keep up the good work in teaching others the value of longevity and compounding, in the market.

What went wrong.

What went wrong.. First of all we got the bait and switch from Stockpile.. they sold to Stash and Publix. Stash has been so difficult to work with. Now the kids have aged out and need to get thei own accounts, it's been a 3 ring circus. Too much time wasted, difficultulty getting correct info difficulty getting ahold of someone and nasty humans to speak with. Do not use STASH. Go to a trusted service like Charles Schwab or a private broker. You will be happier and save a lot of time.

Terrible experience overall

When I first signed up, it was bc of a promotion on Scrambly. Sign up went fine, but Scrambly never gave me credit for it, and it's the first app I've ever had that issue with. But that isn't why I'm giving it 2 stars. I'm giving it 2 stars because after checking out the platform during my free first month, I decided I didn't want to continue my subscription and low and behold, I literally couldn't cancel my account/subscription bc you're forced to connect a bank account upon signing up, and the option to remove it was nonexistent for me UNTIL AFTER they charged me $19.99 for the monthly subscription, which I immediately reached out to their customer support (who conveniently didn't reply to me the first time when I asked how to cancel my account before being charged) and this time they replied, but only to tell me that subscriptions are nonrefundable. Seriously? What an archaeic and predatory business practice, I've gotten subscription refunds from numerous different apps/companies in the past as long as it was within a day or two of being charged, even if it was pro-rated. To flat-out not offer any refunds, on top of the extremely unlikely coincidence that certain options (like to remove bank account) magically appeared in the app after I was charged just makes me feel like this company as a whole has 1 interest, and it certainly doesn't involve customer satisfaction. Greedy and shady. I would recommend avoiding.

Very easy to use

Very easy to use, and auto invest in stocks monthly, or set aside money for emergency use. Fun earning stock back with every purchase. I love the debit card. Only issue I've had is they keep flagging a merchant as fraud, and I don't know how to get them to accept the merchant ... It's a site I trust. I've indicated that it was a valid charge. Aside from this, I like how it's easy to send funds from PayPal, or bank to fund the account. Only issue is my card won't work at gains.com

Stash is my favorite

I have used Stash for a while now. I absolutely love the ease of the app, investing option for smaller amounts, kid accounts, 2-day early deposits, and so much more. Stash is my favorite of all my banks but I keep a local bank because getting cash of larger amounts can be difficult. I also have another bank for savings to get the higher interest rates.

Savings From 0 to $!

I hadn't had anything saved for retirement or anything for that matter. I had been interested in the stock market and this gave me the means to try.i started with only a few dollars in a single account. It wasn't long before I found I could make even small amounts invested work for me. Within the year I had added a retirement account brokerage account for my child along with my own. And shortly thereafter a managed account as well and a banking account.. I went from having nothing to finally a begining of some savings with barely any effort with regular small monthly deposits. its also very easy to keep track of all investments and make changes to them. There is always a chance of losses but I've been lucky enough to have the gains out weigh any losses by being proactive in the account. If it wasn't for finding and trying Stash I probably still wouldn't have much or anything in savings never mind a retirement account as well. Best app I have ever downloaded. And I mean that. Thank you Stash.

It takes a while to get verified and link your accounts and then when that happens it still takes forever for the transactions to happen it took me forever to verify my identity. Also you should make it a little easier to read which stocks you have in our own by you when you look at your homepage

Where’s my Stash card?

When I first signed up, I was promised a Stash card. Still to this day, I have no card. I stopped using Stash because they would not ship card to post office box. Spoke to representative. They said it would be worked out. Started using Stash account again. Have a substantial balance. Still no card! Not happy!!

It has really been good and it helped…

It has really been good and it helped me start a habit that has been growing and growing. This biggest downsides are : The blanket charge of .25 on smart mix accounts. I have a very significant amount that goes into equities every month. I had to start using another competitor to cut that back. I am still putting the same amount per week in but I am also using another platform because of the blanket charge. The other issue is , when stocks split, it took multiple days for it to reflect in the account and I had to call in about Crowdstrike.

Reply from Stash2026-08-26

Hi Steve, We’re glad to hear the habit has been building over time, and we also hear your concerns about the account charge and the delay you experienced with the stock split update. We know both of those can be frustrating. For anything you’d like us to review further, please contact [email protected] or call (800) 205-5164, Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm ET. The Stash Team

One of the most expensive financial services available

The app and website have been improved greatly over the last year but their cost of services is one of the most expensive in the market. For individuals who started off with them and helped them at the very beginning to get where they are today, they should have done something special for them, but instead treated them like everybody else and charge one of the highest rates in the market for services that you can get much cheaper anywhere else.

Hi Stephen, We appreciate you taking the time to share this. It sounds like the improvements have been noticed, but the overall value still feels out of step for you, especially after being with us from the beginning. We understand that can be frustrating.
