A Promising Auction Undermined by Poor Communication

I rarely leave one-star reviews, though my experience with Grailzee has left me with little confidence in the company. Unfortunately, the problems didn't begin once the auction went live—they began during the listing process itself. Preparing the auction was more difficult than it should have been, requiring repeated follow-ups and creating unnecessary stress before the listing was ever active. My Hublot auction began on July 30 and was scheduled to conclude on August 6. I also elected to purchase a promotional boost. Almost immediately, I noticed conflicting information within my account. One page indicated the listing had been boosted, while another showed the payment had failed. Eventually an IT representative later acknowledged there had been a Meta-related issue that never got sorted out. This was after having reached out to various departments requesting answers, not only about the tech issue but about the listing itself. I never received a definitive answer as to whether the promotion had actually run. Technical issues happen. What matters is how a company responds when they do. On multiple occasions, I was assured that someone would call me back regarding the listing, yet those calls never came. I even rearranged my schedule for a call with a manager at an agreed-upon time, moved my calendar around to accommodate the call, only to receive no call and no communication explaining why. By late Monday evening—just days before the auction was scheduled to end—I was still trying to get basic answers. Throughout the process, it often felt as though one department wasn't communicating with another. I spent far more time chasing updates than I should have, and there seemed to be very little ownership of the customer experience. To Grailzee's credit, I was not charged for the promotional boost, and the auction was ultimately canceled upon my request. I appreciate that those matters were handled appropriately. However, customer service is measured by more than whether a charge is reversed. It's measured by communication, accountability, and honoring commitments. Those were the areas where my experience consistently fell short. My disappointment has very little to do with whether my watch sold. Auctions involve risk, and I accepted that from the outset. What I did not expect was an experience that was consistently frustrating from start to finish, consumed an unnecessary amount of my time, and left me feeling as though my concerns simply weren't a priority. I genuinely hope Grailzee improves communication between its departments and follows through on the commitments it makes to its customers. Those changes alone would go a long way toward improving the overall customer experience.

Problems with Grailzee's Shipping

The auction process and connection to watch sellers was very smooth. Unfortunately, after paying for the watch, Grailzee's shipping process with the third party authenticator broke down. It has now been 5 days since I paid for a luxury watch and I still have no tracking number or way to confirm when/if the watch will arrive. Their customer support is now email-only -- they disconnected their support phone number -- and although someone generally responds quickly, the responses are not helpful.

Great transaction, website very easy to navigate, your communication during the process was great, explained each step so the transaction moved smoothly through the process. Most importantly the watch was beautiful. always wanted a sprite Rolex with all the papers and box and then in mint condition, and that's what I got. Thank you so much for a smooth transaction. Great traffic

I buy sell and trade all kinds of different watches with all kinds of different budgets the traffic is important the more people that can see my watches the better visibility obviously is going to be better for me I get that here the support has been wonderful the platform is great it's easy to work with I just like it all around a great place I did not sell my watch I got some offers though and I will continue to work with these guys I like them a lot they're great the listing fees were

Very pleased with entire process

Very pleased with entire process. I was high bidder — but did not meet reserve. Subsequently easily negotiated a mutually satisfactory price with seller. Authentication proceeded quickly and smoothly — and my beautiful 2024 Blancpain arrived shortly thereafter. Love it! Will buy again with Grailzee!
