Easy to navigate through a wide selection of artworks
I find it easy to use Invaluable’s website to navigate to auctions worldwide. The bidding, invoicing and shipment processes are clear and helpful even for auctions that use other systems for invoicing or shipping. The whole experience is dependable.
This was my first purchase at invaluable auctions. Initially it was not intuitive that even though you bid on an object and are high bidder it makes no difference in the end. It is not until the live auction that you really make your purchase.
I now need to make a payment and arrange shipping. I trust that will also go well
Got spammed by dozens of Art Galleries after creating an account with Invaluable. I did not opt in to marketing so watch out they are reselling your data illegally.
Warning: Critical UI flaws and zero support for technical glitches
I´m writing this to warn other bidders about the technical instability of Invaluable's live auction interface. While following a live auction, I experienced a major glitch where resizing my browser window triggered several "one-click" bids on items I never intended to bid on. The platform's interface is clearly not stable enough for high-stakes bidding. A simple UI adjustment caused the "bid" button to misfire, resulting in several unwanted "wins." Invaluable needs to implement better safety bails, like a "confirm bid" toggle, especially since their responsive design is so jumpy.
the idea is good. but they house too many dodgy auctioneers like Coronari auctions e.g.
Invaluable gives a toss to protect bidders interest.
please avoid bidding through them.
customer support is also not able to help.
basically as a buyer you are not considered their customer although they charge you commission.
their main prioity lies with the auctioneers, may the be dodgy lazy or just incapable it does not matter.
this is such abig site domination the auction market that they should use their power in the interest of the buyers. but they simply do not care. classic monopoly.
if you want to buy an item go directly through the auctioneer and avoid them. auctioneer told me blatantly they give priority only to their own platform or bidding. do not risk loosing your bids by using invaluable. auctioneers are using by now many international aggregators, invaluable gets the least priority somehow. the managment does not know this, hope they read this report and get their act together.
Charged me a 65% Buyers Premium fee. Buyer Beware!!!
The Poor feedback rating on this company says it all! I was charged a 65% fee on the item I won at auction. It said right on the auction site that the buyers premium was 23% if you registered directly on the auction site the BP would be 17%. I was shocked when I got the invoice. I won't be buying anything through this company again!
Wish I had read these reviews before bidding on and winning a non-working Rolex from the Written Word through Invaluable. I've been gaslit and ghosted. First they sent the watch with a fake band and extorted more money for a real one. Then, they took the watch back twice saying they were repairing it but both times it came back exactly the same - it doesn't tell time. Pretty, but worthless. Invaluable sent them an email telling them to remedy the situation within 2 days and that went unanswered. They are a fraudulent business preying on people like you and me...RUN as fast as you can!
Not sure what has happened over the past year but it seems all the auction houses are charging crazy Buyers Premium fees. I understand they need to make money but they are charging the sellers a fee and hitting the buyer with higher and higher fees -
Invaluable does not stand behind item descriptions or verify that auction houses abide by recognized industry standards of transparency and full disclosure.
I made multiple calls and left messages without ever receiving a call back. I purchased two small revolvers... a pepperbox and a small Colt SAA. The shipping and handling on one was $30 and the second was $58. You refused ship them together, and will not respond to me and explain why the shipping for one is twice the other?
