What people say

Good company and staff.

The people I talked with were able to answer all my questions. When one person did not know the answer, I was transferred to someone that did. Very knowledgeable. I purchased a scratch & dent. I received multiple photos of the universal condenser before purchase. Excellent communication all the way to the door. I can not wait to get installed and evaluate.

Ingrams was great to work with

Ingrams was great to work with. I bought a Mr. Cool mini-split and the condenser was delivered by UPS upside down and damaged. Ingrams promptly handled the problem and sent a replacement and picked up the damaged condenser. I installed the mini-split and could not get the heat to work. I received help from Mr. Cool's technical support (it was not always quick to respond) but did respond to emails better than phone calls. We finally determined that the 2nd condenser was defective. Mr. Cool sent a replacement and I installed it and it works extremely well. I am happy with how Ingrams handled my purchase. Mr. Cool (not Ingrams) could use a few more technicians to respond to requests for help. I would purchase from Ingrams again and would recommend them to anyone.

Garage Mods

The rep, Matthew McKinney, that answered my call was knowledgeable and able to assess the space that needed to be heated and cooled and the insulation that was going to be placed in the walls and ceilings. Also, he was able to add to the order the accessories that needed to be used. There is one area that was disappointing and that was with the shipping. Averitt Express was able to handle the shipment to Norfolk expeditiously, but I was inconvenient for two days because of the 3rd party company that brought the products to my residence.

THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMER…

THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMER AND THEY LIKE SALES BUT NOT RETURN AND ALSO THEY NEVER SHOW ME THE POLICE OF THE COMPANY WHEN I DID MAKE THE ORDER. ALSO, WHEN I MADE THE ORDER THEY NEVER ASKED ME FOR THE LONG LINE SIZE THAT I NEEDED. THEY ONLY SELES 25 FT LINE SIZE. I FOUND A LINE SIZE IN LOWE 35 FT BUT THEY SAY IT IS NOT TO RETURNED.

Don’t do it

Like myself, you may get completely damaged goods a day after the delivery company states they will deliver it. After you have taken the time out of your busy work day to wait between the delivery window of 10am and 5pm to find out after calling them at 5:30pm that they don’t know where the furnace is. Then to get a call back saying they found it and will deliver the next day. They need to hold the company they use for delivery way more accountable or be willing to take matters into their own hands and refund or replace the damage that was done. Try to avoid if you can. Save yourself the hassle and money.

Overall the experience with them has…

Overall the experience with them has been really good. They have been helpful with technical support and being able to provide the right parts for the project. We have been living with three Mr.Cool DIY systems now for almost two years now and so far so good. The installation was reasonably simple although mounting them to an outside wall is much easier than to an inside wall. Some sort of additional bends or couplers would be really useful for those situations. Other things I wish I knew about the DIY, our systems apparently l cannot use a remote Thermostat so you are stuck with the internal temp control which works ok but I don't find it to be particularly accurate, even with the app and calibration. I'm also not a big fan of the scheduling in the app it doesn't quite behave the way I would expect but that may just be me and the way I think about things. Finally, we did get a remote wireless thermostat with one of the units but it is pretty much pointless as it is battery powered and the batteries don't seem to last more than a month so it pretty must just hangs on the wall not doing anything. But the units seem to be of excellent quality, they are very quiet and have performed very well for us and I am more than happy to tell people about the DIY system.
