I haven't experienced other packages apart from Kaplan and if I were to recommend to someone else or to start all over again I would still choose Kaplan. Why? It is very rich in content with simplified easy to understand explanations. The Tutor tailored their explanations in a way that a beginner wouldn't struggle to get the context. The exam reflected well of the actual content and in most cases even more challenging than the actual NCLEX itself. This made me find the final exam doable.

Although Kaplan offers great online resources and test preparation materials, I’ve been extremely disappointed by how unreliable they have been with their in-person classes. I’m an elementary school teacher trying to transition out of the education system, and I learn best in a classroom setting. I specifically enrolled in Kaplan’s in-person course, but my classes in Houston have been canceled twice, and both times I was given only last-minute notice. I planned my entire summer break around these classes so I could make the most of my vacation and prepare for my next career step. Instead, the repeated cancellations have completely disrupted those plans and delayed my progress. The only remaining in-person classes Kaplan offers conflict with my work schedule once the school year begins, leaving me with no real choice but to take the online course—a format that I know is not effective for the way I learn. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and has made me feel that Kaplan’s in-person program is simply not reliable for students who are depending on it.

The group sessions with a certified tutor were wonderful and great when trying to get immediate constructive feedback and tips. The schedule feature is also a wonderful way to stay on track and maintain accountability and momentum. I especially like that there was integrated practice tests throughout along with a vast array of materials to study from. However, it is important to know that the course is very reveiw-oriented and you will need to be on top of a lot of things by yourself, including when to incorporate application and practice beyond the reveiw material.

The instructors were phenomenal! They really made it fun and engaging! I have taken NCLEX prep courses in the past but none have truly made me feel as confident and prepared as this one! I took my CAT 1 exam a few days after the course and passed in the first 85 questions! 😁 I am ready to take on NCLEX for my BSN!! WATCH OUT! 🥰🎉

I found kaplan to be very outdated. I think there are much better NCLEX prep courses out there and this is not worth the money. Kaplan does not allow you to look back at specific test questions on several of there tests so there is no way to remediate many of them. Kaplan also has a readiness test that does not tell you whether or not you are ready, how you compare to other people or anything. All it tells you is your percentage. I found the live review course to be repetitive and the strategies for answering questions overcomplicated, confusing and often times not even applicable. Overall don't waste your money!!
