Loan Depot called me many times asking if I needed a loan. After six calls that I did not answer. I answered the seventh call. I told them that I was not looking for a loan. Before I could finish the sentence the girl hung up on me. No thank you for calling, no if you need one call us back. Nothing just in a very rude way hung up on me. THIS IS PROBABLY AN INDICATION AS TO HOW THEY OPERATE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME CALLING LOAN DEPOT!

My wife and I applied for a heloc loan.Our Agent Nicole DeSimone was very helpful and attentive to our needs .My wife and I are not at All tech savvy. Nicole was extremely patient and made herself available for each and every one of our probably crazy questions. Nicole also identified that we were paying way too much hone insurance on our mortgage and street us an Ins Broker that really helped us with this an going forward with our new condo. Nicole is a real asset to your company and a real professional, Thank you Nicole ! Our Quorum contract agent Patricia Ragland guided us through the process with great care and professionalism.As we hope to pay off our Heloc as soon as possible and not have to borrow any large amounts of money again (we're in our 70s we will without a doubt recommend loan depot to anyone we know who may need your services

A VA Interference with the IRRL Process

I have been generally pleased throughout my entire association with Loan Depot. The personnel who worked with me displayed wonderful professionalism and personal assistance efforts throughout my recent disastrous Loan Depot refinance. I say disastrous, because of the way things played out. Back in Summer 2025, I did a VA cash out refi, taking on a higher interest rate (over 6+% compared to 2+% that I had at the time) and heightened principal because I needed the cash out. At the time, I was informed that after the prescribed amount of time, I could receive an IRRL, with a probable lower interest rate, and having the expected features below: No Appraisal Required: No Cash Out Minimal Documentation Lower VA Funding Fee Roll in Closing Costs My hope was to seriously reduce my PITI. When the time came, I contacted the previously most helpful Loan Depot loan officer and we started the process of finding the right loan. Mr. Josh Cantu found a great 5-year ARM with an interest rate of only slightly more than 3% to begin. This was ideal, since I was planning on selling this property before the rate adjustment. As we started the application process, the VA caused a DRIVE-BY APPRAISAL to be conducted!! Why?!! The comparables used by the appraiser were totally wrong, not even the same size as my property, and of much lower value. Further, the drive-by could not have included the property upgrades I have installed. We appealed, furnishing much more proper and realistic comparables, but VA denied the appeal. The net result was I had to take a new refi instead of an IRRL, with a higher principal, the usual VA Funding Fee, a higher interest rate, and a NET REDUCTION IN PITI OF APPROXIMATELY ONLY $100.00! All that grief for virtually NOTHING.

This being my third time using this…

This being my third time using this company, the rating should have been a 5 star. It would have been five stars if someone had not dropped the ball. I did an IRRRL which should not have taken as long as it did, especially since this company already was servicing my current loan. The delays caused me to pay more in interest (3.99%) instead of the 3.85% when I initiated the loan. It doesn't sound like much but consider over the life of the loan. Why did it take me having to write to the supervisor before things started moving again? This should not have happened!
