I cancelled on 7 May 2026 by email to the address the company itself provides, and asked for confirmation. A reply came the same day – but it was not a cancellation confirmation. It asked for my reason for leaving and offered a 70% discount.
On 26 July 2026 I was charged USD 94.99 anyway, two and a half months after cancelling.
When I complained, support told me the same day that no account could be found under my email address. One day later I was told the opposite: that they had asked me for confirmation on 7 May and renewed the subscription because I did not reply. Those two answers cannot both be true – and it was I who asked for confirmation, not the company. Their reply of 7 May contains no such request.
Instead of a refund, I received the same discount offer again.
Constructive point: cancellation should be possible with one click in the account and confirmed automatically. Until that exists, keep the full email thread and watch your statements.

They diabled my account during an app version upgrade and then took my subscription while I couldn't use it. I still can't log in to the app. They've neither refunded my subscription nor offered me a credit for the period I couldn't use the app. AVOID THEM!

I needed better english for meetings, especially small talk, introductions, and simple answers. This app helped me practise without pressure, which was the main thing I needed. After a few weeks, I feel less blocked when someone asks me a question. The only thing missing for me is more advanced workplace vocabulary and maybe email practice. Still very useful and worth 4 stars

One of the better language apps I’ve tried because it focuses on real conversation. The roleplays make sense and the Ai tutor is patient. It still needs a bit more polish in the design, but the learning itself is strong

Repeating french phrases until they feel normal has helped me a lot. I like that nobody is listening or judging. Sometimes I want shorter corrections instead of a full explanation every time

Hypnosis advertised, but it's not in their content. Do not do business with them.
I bought the annual subscription for the app based on the advertisement on FB and Instagram that language learning would be through hypnosis. After downloading the app, I learned that it's pretty much the same approach as other apps where words and phrases are learned with the assistance of a virtual person and interpretation of my spoken words. I contacted support and asked about the hypnosis aspect and was told that their app doesn't have this but that another app does, and they named it. I searched online and the other company has weight loss through hypnosis but not language learning. In additional messages, I sent two images from advertising that clearly show hypnosis and the link that one follows that is funnel.makesyoufluent.com. the very timely responses were that this was not them, but there was not explanation as to the misleading advertising.they said it could be "misleading third-party advertising". I don't understand that because makesyoufluent.com is the recipient of the orders! After requesting a refund l, I was told that their standard refund policy doesn't permit a refund but that they would offer a 60% discount on future renewals. This didn't make sense to me, since they have a product that I do not want. Ultimately I accepted their offer for a 30% refund. Not happy about it and wish to advise you not to do business with them.

I cancelled my subscription within minutes of purchasing and still had to fight for it.
The biggest issue wasn’t the product itself because I never even got the chance to evaluate it. Before I could access the service, I was taken through what felt like an endless sequence of upsells and add-on offers. By the time I finally reached the product, I had completely lost confidence and decided to cancel almost immediately.
The frustrating part came afterward. Instead of simply processing my cancellation, support initially couldn’t even locate my account, then sent me retention offers, requested additional steps, and later asked me to provide a screenshot of a cancellation confirmation that they themselves had never sent.
Eventually they confirmed the subscription was cancelled, but refused to issue a full refund despite the fact that I cancelled almost immediately, never completed the account setup, and never used the service. They eventually offered only a partial refund.
Their support staff remained polite throughout, and I appreciate that. My issue is with the company’s policies and cancellation process, not the individual representatives.
If you’re considering signing up, be aware of the aggressive upsell flow after checkout and understand the refund policy before purchasing.
