The basis of the app is good. However, it glitches almost every time I use it, and the only advice I get from tech support is to remove and reinstall the all. I like that I can practice speaking, but when I do the lessons (both spoken and written), they are not always logged, so my progress is not accurate. The price is good, and the concept solid - execution still needs A LOT of work

I've been on a number of language sites, some of which are quite good but I reckon MYF suits me best of all. The comprehensive mixture, variety of exercises and the quality of the avatars are enormously informative for me though I'd like for my Avatar to speak just a little slower, a pause to give me the opportunity to digest the content. I really enjoy the experience.

MYF is the one app that constantly challenges me to keep learning new words, new syntax, and especially to pronounce difficult words and sentences. And the fact that during a lesson, I can ask my tutor how to pronounce or find the right words to express what I want to say makes it the closest I’ve been able to get to having a live tutor to talk with. Misleading marketing. They claim that they tell you upfront that it will be a recurring charge, but they don't. It's hidden in the info AFTER you purchase it. I immediately sent them an email stating I did not consent to a recurring charge and was basically informed after a few back and forth emails that you can't have the service unless you consent to the recurring charge. Also they couldn't find a record of my email address, although they were already sending spam to it. I was not given an account number and it wasn't in my profile on the app. I had to prove they charged me by sending a screenshot. To me that's a scam. I ended up getting my credit card involved so I could cancel and get a refund, since you cannot just get 3 months worth. If you don't want to pay for this service forever, you can't get it. Also a dubious business model.
I had tried it for one day and it had egregious errors in the app. Wrong spellings, didn't seem to even understand m vs f adjective agreements. Basically worthless program. Did not adapt to the learner by giving a test to start from and then expand curriculum from there.

The program is not very accurate. Disappointing
The program is not very accurate. I had several native Spanish speakers in Spain tell me that it is pronouncing the items incorrectly. I had a plan for 3 months never used it, I founds it complicated. It expired, but when I got to Spain on my trip I thought now I am really going to buckle down and complete this, so I bought a 6 month plan, I had blamed myself for not being able to complete any of it before. But life happen and I did not use my 6 month plan I purchased. I did try to use it but It forces you to complete items in its order. I ran into a stumbling block and was stuck trying to remember the sequence of words that it wanted me to remember. So I wanted to skip it. I could not. I ended up having to take a photo of the sentence and then rewrite exactly as the photo had it to get past the problem. Then the next question was even worst. I gave up. I want to be able to skip around and practice what I want to practice. I do not want to be forced to complete one item before I am allowed to move on to a different section. I will not be signing up for a third time. Waste of money. Plus they tell you they will extend your 6 month for an additional 6 month plan for only a very small amount. I thought this might be worth it when I was signing up but they system refused to allow me complete the purchase for the additional months of coverage. Contacting customer support was not helpful. I had to explain it many time to several folks and finally, they sent me a email with a link that was supposed to allow me to buy another 6 months. After having been denied access to it before and not really comfortable that customer support understood what I wanted to do. I choose to not attempt to use the link. I have no idea if it would have worked. Oh and they are offering a chance to win 300 dollars by reviewing their product but if you click on 1,2,3 stars it takes you to their customer support page and not this review site. Apparently, they are attempting to direct our input

Horrible app, AI powered, freezes a lot. Asks to pronounce one thing, but then says another word. Doesn't like any accents. Runs you in a loops. Many glitches and bugs. Unreasonably expensive after renewal. Not good for beginners. No real unsubscribing options, complicated. Customer service is hard to work with. Auto renewal 3x times after your first period. Would not recommend to anyone.

Tried to purchase “Makesyoufluent” Japanese language program as intend to go back to Japan next year.
Paid for initial program of 6 months and ended up going through a series of paywalls, it was a dash for cash. Decided, this not for me, before getting through the last paywall. But already received notification from my bank deductions made. Phoned the bank, card put on temporary block, just incase scam site.
Received an initial email from “Makesyoufluent”, stating money deducted with an unrequested annual renewal with no order number.
Sent email to cancel the transaction, got an AI email response 13 hours later saying no record of account with my email address and requesting order number of transaction, but as I said, no order number given.
Contacted bank again, to play safe better option to cancel credit card and dispute transaction as they don’t seem to be able to find it
