It is very difficult to get initial connection. I'm in Asia for a few days with no connection at all by bed time on Day 2. Very dissatisfied and disappointed 😞☹️.

Terrible do not waste your money for Japan fairly usless
Terrible do not waste your money! Don’t bother with it for Japan, turned on the esim whilst we were taxing to the gate, got a signal within minutes, but no data for over an hour after we landed, stayed most of our time in shibuya, constantly dropping data was full signal 5g or LTE but sketchy as all! Ended up loading a data roaming pack from my Philippines provider. Could not get JR East to send verification emails from maya data either. Just don’t bother with this provider for Japan at least!

I used it in my own country the Netherlands. Maya connected to the same provider I have normaly KPN, but the Maya connection was much slower than my own provider. Also short interruptions . Veel van de snelheid gaat verloren omdat het signaal omgeleid wordt . Not suitable for me. A bit disapponting connection. Vergeet ook niet dat Maya buiten Europa zit, dus ziggo ed kan alleen via vpn.
Purchased an eSim assuming this wouldn't activate until I reached my destination country. Contacted support. Initially the automated service did not understand my request at all and gave numerous wrong advice. I asked to speak to an agent and within 4 minutes Maria had responded, gave me a code to get another service for free to cover my trip along with screenshots to ensure the same issue didn't happen again. Incredible customer service.
Used these guys for a while but now they only offer unlimited esim plans which is a bit of a let down. Use Saily most of the time now as I only need 3GB max anywhere I go in the world.
