What people say

I’ve had a really positive experience…

I’ve had a really positive experience working with NACA throughout my homebuying journey. The process can be detailed, but it’s designed to truly prepare you for homeownership and make sure you’re in the best position long term. My counselor, Antonio Coronado, has been helpful in guiding me through the steps, answering my questions, and making sure I understood what was needed to move forward. Even when things felt overwhelming, I always felt like there was a clear path and support available. What I appreciate most about NACA is that they focus on helping people who may not have perfect credit still become homeowners. That alone makes a huge difference. If you stay patient, organized, and committed to the process, it’s definitely worth it. — Shaniqua McCray

My NACA journey

My NACA counselor, Dwayne, has been patient and helpful every step of the way through this process. NACA makes homebuying feasible in this ever-changing real estate market. I have several other friends in FL and DC that have purchased through NACA and I look forward to completing my home purchase this year! - Ebony M.

Homebuying Process!

My partner and I have been working with NACA as first-time homebuyers, and it offers great resources and guidance for those serious about owning a home. However, response and processing times can be slow, so patience is key. It's a strong program overall, but best suited for those who are organized, committed, and willing to stick through a longer process.

There are still good people in the World.

Mrs. Barbara in the Columbia office is the BEST. She actually took her time to assist me. She didn't just point me in the direction I should go; she logged in and walked me through step by step. Oh, and let me not forget, she always was at her desk to answer that phone. I think God told her that I was calling.

Still in Progress

I was really excited when I found out about the NACA program. I did my research and found it to be know for its impact and not for its speed. I have been going through the process about a year, only because at the beginning I worked at a certain salary and got laid off due to the company moving to Mexico. Even with that the process has gone smoothly. If you maintain your documents there are no excuses. My only caveat is that my realtor is so far away there are really no boots on the ground expect my own in my neighborhood/housing search. I would suggest getting someone who is local. They have where your realtor can get temporarily NACA certified so you can close. Overall it has been a decent experience for me, and I’m ready to find a property and close. I also absolutely love that they are stern on affordability, they are not going to put you in a house that you can’t afford to maintain. Don’t want to me house rich and cash poor.

This is my first experience with NACA

This is my first experience with NACA. I did the online orientation and was paired with Ellen Petersen. She is professional, thorough, patient, and caring . Ms. Petersen helped me through the paperwork process with ease and understanding. She made herself available to me for any questions or obstacles I may have had. I am looking forward to purchasing my first home through the NACA program.

Supportive Guidance Through a Detailed Process

My experience with my counselor, Antonio, at NACA has been wonderful. He has been supportive, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer my questions throughout the process. He takes the time to explain each step and makes sure I understand what’s needed to stay on track. The process does take effort and time, but with Antonio’s guidance, it feels manageable and worthwhile. If you stay committed and follow the steps, the program can really help you move closer to your homeownership goals. I appreciate the encouragement and professionalism I’ve received so far.
