What people say

Lack of follow up for a quote

I contacted a sales rep, insisted to get an appointment to show him the house content via video (I have antiques and large artwork, so wanted to make sure he saw what I was moving). He provided a quote the next day, that was not very clear in term of what the costs were, so I sent back an email with some clarification questions. He replied the next day that he would get to my questions when he had some down time!!! And we are now a week out and I have not heard back... I guess they don't want my business

Rip off and liars

All the big items (bedroom set and vanity didn’t take apart and said that’s not included in the delivery. All they did is 25 boxes. 10 big boxes and 10 middle and 5small boxes. $2158. Just 360 Cubert of the tuck total . Bad communication., didn’t do what the contract wrote ! that only just want to do the small stuff not help with the main heavy delivery! That’s the worst experience ever. ! Rip off and lies!

We moved from Salt Lake City Utah to…

We moved from Salt Lake City Utah to Palm Bay Florida. I checked out different movers and decided on Amerisafe Movers. They said they do a lot of moves and told what to expect as well as when it would happen. They arrived a day early but all the better. They packed and loaded my house and said they would be in Florida in 5 days. I had to be there for delivery. I rushed 2400 plus Mies down to our new home and waited. They never showed up. I called Samuel who told me he would check. A lady from ALL SEASONS LLC moving call me back. She had a very thick accent and could hardly understand her. However in-between language difficulties she said “they were loading the truck”. I asked her what that meant. She told me they loaded a trailer to from the truck they had to move it from my house. This was never, NEVER explained to me. But Ok, it is what it is. 2 days later I called and the same lady who told me they were loaded the truck. I told her that was 2 days ago. She said that the trailer had broken and they ** HADN’T left Salt lake.** I asked when will they. She said in a day or 2. In 2 days I called to find out and was told they were loaded the truck AGAIN. I called Samuel and he said he would find out. I got a call from Americasfe #CUSTOMER SERVICE# and was told that the trailer had broken down and they would be loading it soon. I told her that was 4 days ago and we needed our house. She said it would be on the way soon. I waited another 2 days and never heard anything and called Samuel again. He told me he’d have *CUSTOMER SERVICE* find out. I received a call from the same Amerisafe Person and was told they hadn’t loaded it yet. I explained that we were without anything. We had to buy items to make do and it was costing a lot more. We needed our house. She told me again that it had broken down and they were working on it. I asked questions as to why can’t they put it on another trailer, where IS my house, and so on. She told me to stop talking, and to be quiet. She then told me it ****HAPPENS ALL THE TIME*** as well as they had !!! 21 working days (that’s 29 calendar days except with a holiday in-between it’s 30 days) to get me my house. The caveat was when she said **there isn’t anything you can do about it***. REALLY????? I was applauded and truly frustrated. I still haven’t heard anything of where my house is, is it secured, are the items SAFE, or any information about my house. DO NOT USE THIS OUTFIT!! They are unprofessional, unreactive, uncaring, and should not be trusted with what they say. I will update this review when I get any info. USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!! Document everything and have an Attorney retained IF you do like I have.

Moving broker with ambiguous contractual agreements

Communication between AmeriSafe and broker company , No Borders Moving and Storage, was abysmal. Paid money upfront to AmeriSafe. No Borders then demanded more upon pickup and prior to delivery. No Borders, harassed, threatened and held our furniture hostage with the support of Amerisafe. Contract is ambiguous. Be aware that broker will try to wring as much money as possible from you. Using shuttles and weight of moving items, they increase payments on the back end. AmeriSafe did nothing to work with us when United Insurance claim was denied due to inaccurate information from No Borders. Terrible experience! Think twice before you contract with this group!

Hello Anyone & Everyone

Hello Anyone & Everyone. At All cost, DO NOT use AmeriSafe Moving Services. These people are Scam Artist. They are Brokers' NOT an actual Moving Company. They have changed their name from Nationwide Moving to AmeriSafe due to unethical practices. They Bait you in with a Super Low price, then once you sign the Bill of Lading contract, they literally got you after the 3rd day of signing. The movers they hire to pick up your belongings, load the truck and now you are at their mercy. The price is going to be THOUSANDS more based on the cubic footage. Not to mention if you decide to cancel your contract before the 3 days are up, they will hold on to your money and try Every Angle possible to keep your money. When you 1st call, They start off by telling you that they are the #1 Moving Company and they do thousands of moves a year. Get you to sign up by telling you that they're giving you a fantastic discount. Once this happens, they got you by the b**ls. Do yourself a tremendous favor and DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. Go on BBB and see for yourself, as well as social media platforms. These people are crooks and they don't have any integrity whatsoever.

I was told "You are like my mother!"

I had my pick up and delivery dates changed several times. After making arrangements a third time I was called by a dispatcher names Giovanni the day before pick up and told I would have to change dates again. I had arranged both pick up and delivery destinations to fit their schedule and this disrupted several people and our jobs. Not professional at all, I was told by Giovanni that, "I was like his mother!"

Amerisafe does not deliver!

Amerisafe does not deliver! If you don't care WHEN your belongings are delivered. This is the company for you. It has been over a month since my items were picked up. I did not ask for storage. I gave the company a date when my load could be delivered (3 days). The contract stated it could be up to 24 days and the truck needs to be a full load. Another call, Amerisafe rep stated it is now in storage and would get back to me regarding the confusion. )They didn't.) Last week I was told it could be 3-4 days. NO call or delivery. So, if you are moving to a different locatio and empty dwelling.. you can look forward to having nothing but what you brought with you.

Worst moving experience ever

Come to find out America safe moving services is a broker not a moving company even though they advertise themselves as a moving company they are crooked and underestimated the amount that we had the outsourced our move which wasn't surprising considering I found out later that they are a broker not a mover, perfectly fast moving is who they outsourced it to their movers were jerks on both ends trying to get my stuff delivered to my destination was a joke it took them 2 weeks longer than what it was supposed to and then they tried to intimidate once they got to delivery site. Do recommend them for anything unless you want intimidation stress and other nightmares BS. Would give zero Stars if it was an option

Amerisafe is not a moving company they…

Amerisafe is not a moving company they are a broker. They quote you a price and take their third and then they are basically done with you. They then reserve a local mover for you. The movers they hired for me didn't exist on any internet search. Upon arrival the company quoted us twice what Amerisafe had agreed as the finished price. I of course called Amerisafe and was told I needed to speak to my salesperson Michael. He did not answer that call or respond to any further calls. The movers said that brokers do that all the time. So what do you do at this point? We had to move and so agreed to the new price that has to be payed in cash or venmo ( nothing fishy there) They damaged some of our furniture and lost the legs for our couch. Again Amerisafe was unresponsive and of course I couldn't call the actual movers because the company doesn't exist. To top the lot they couldn't fit all of our stuff in the truck even though it was actually less than we had told Amerisafe! Two days later we had stairhoppers come for our " second" move . They were friendly, quick and incredibly professional. I hope you heed this warning and stay away from Amerisafe or any other third party vendor.

Complete NIGHTMARE

Complete NIGHTMARE. I was happy at first until no delivery and they were telling me when they are coming instead of asking what works. They are a Scam broker who sends anyone. I have to go to the police department now they are holding my stuff hostage requesting cash and fees.Do not use them they will send out anyone who will steal and break your things. They changed the contract and cubic feet after moving my stuff. Once you do business customer service blames you, hangs up and says it's too late. I wish I didn't do this to myself. I thought they were moving my stuff not some criminals they call partners. They are not BBB rated and go under a different name. Look up reviews.

Not transparent on cost, rude and unwilling to explain

My daughter recently used Amerisafe to broker a move. They subbed out the move to Home and Office Movers who arrived on sit, had my daughter sign the Bill of Lading and then added the actual cost which were double the estimate. When speaking to Amerisafe specifically Guiseppe and Taelor H, they were unwilling to explain charges, tried to rudely write off the concern as me being an uninvolved father and then hung up. Use with caution... All I asked was for then to explain how adding a washer and dryer added over $1600 to a $2000 estimate, which they couldn't

Customers Beware

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally file a complaint against Amerisafe Moving Services regarding my recent experience with their company, which I believe involved deceptive business practices and misrepresentation of services. I initially contacted Amerisafe Moving Services for a household move and made it explicitly clear that I required a 26-foot truck to accommodate my belongings. I already had a reservation with Penske for such a truck, but the Amerisafe representative, Andrew, assured me that the company could provide the same size truck for approximately the same cost, with the added convenience of handling gas expenses and loading services. He emphasized that there would be plenty of space for my items based on the inventory I provided. However, I later discovered that I had been scheduled for only 998 cubic feet of truck space—far less than the capacity of a standard 26-foot truck, which holds approximately 1,700 to 1,800 cubic feet. This discrepancy was not explained to me at the time of booking. Instead, Andrew and the team minimized the size of my inventory items to make it appear that the smaller space would suffice, which was clearly misleading. Three days before my scheduled pick-up, I received a FaceTime call to review my items. Shortly afterward, I was informed that the price would increase significantly, despite having already paid a $2,050 deposit. It was during this interaction that I realized the full extent of the bait-and-switch tactics being employed. I was being forced to either agree to the last-minute inflated price or forfeit most of my deposit. In the end, I was refunded only half of my deposit ($1,025). This experience was both frustrating and unacceptable. I chose not to proceed with Amerisafe and canceled the vehicle transport I had also booked with them. Fortunately, I had already begun breaking down my furniture, which allowed me to pivot to another provider. Still, the ordeal was stressful and left me out a considerable amount of money. I believe Amerisafe Moving Services engages in fraudulent practices to secure business under false pretenses and then traps customers into accepting unreasonable terms or suffering financial loss. These tactics are not only unethical, but they may also be illegal. I request that a full investigation into this matter be conducted, and that Amerisafe Moving Services be held accountable. Furthermore, I am requesting a full refund of my deposit, as I did not receive the service promised to me at the time of booking. Buyers beware: based on my experience, I caution others to carefully vet this company before committing to any service.

The movers were courteous

The movers were courteous, on time, took great care moving my items from my apartment to the truck and did an amazing job moving my things..... I would use them again and I would recommend them to anyone who needed to hire a moving company. The were upfront and transparent about the cost, called me to confirm and follow up on the details of my move

Worst experience ever

The price changed several times during the move, but their quotes come as a link in your email and when you click on the link, it says it’s expired, so you can’t go back and see all their price changes. This company showed up a day late, didn’t apply one of the payments that cleared the bank to the account, and then refused to unload anything at the new house. My parents are elderly and my dad has stage 4 cancer and they fought with them and refused to even get the bed out of the truck. Every time you call the office, no one answers and they won’t call you back. We had to call the police to file a complaint and my parents had to stay in a hotel because they didn’t have a bed to sleep in. I even bought Monsters and McDonald’s for the movers and they took advantage of my elderly parents. We had to file complaints with the police and adult protective services against this company. Don’t let them take advantage of you too.

WARNING

WARNING: DO NOT USE AMERISAFE MOVING SERVICES—THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! I have never in my life dealt with a company as dishonest, predatory, and downright vile as AmeriSafe Moving Services. If you are considering using them, RUN in the opposite direction unless you enjoy being lied to, scammed out of thousands of dollars, and left completely stranded without your belongings. I booked a long-distance move from Philadelphia to Florida. I spoke with Dean Rodriguez, who initially came across as polite, professional, and helpful—until he got my money. He swore up and down that my total price was final, with absolutely no hidden fees and that my belongings would be delivered on March 17-18. He even assured me that there was plenty of space on the truck and that I wouldn’t go over my quoted price. I trusted him. That was my first mistake. Moving day comes, and guess what? The movers show up and immediately tell me that my quote is completely meaningless. They refused to load my things unless I paid them an additional $2,000, on top of the $1,000 I had already paid. When I called AmeriSafe to demand answers, I was transferred to Taylor Hamilton, the most condescending and disgusting excuse for a "customer service" representative I have ever encountered. When I told her that I had been blatantly lied to, she did not care in the slightest and told me, “That’s not my problem.” I told her I wanted to cancel, and she mocked me, and told me to ‘enjoy my f*ing move’ before hanging up.** But it gets even worse. When I looked at my contract, in the small print the March 17-18, dean sold me says "estimated" -- so they could cover there back. But Dean forgot to mention this when he was scamming me on the phone. I told him I would be arriving in Florida the 17th and he told me in order to have the items there by that time I would have to have them picked up the Thursday prior, this was the whole reason I traveled to Florida on those dates—to be there when my belongings arrived. When I called to check on my delivery, I was told that my things are still sitting in a warehouse in New Jersey—1,500 miles away. Nobody can give me an answer on when they will be delivered. I had no bed, no clothes except what I was wearing, and had to go buy a blow-up mattress just to have somewhere to sleep. AmeriSafe Moving Services is a fraudulent, predatory, garbage company that exists solely to scam and exploit people. They lie, take your money, and abandon you when you need them most. Their entire business model is based on bait-and-switch tactics, emotional manipulation, and extortion. If you care about your sanity, your money, and your belongings, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They should be shut down and investigated for fraud. I will be reporting them to every consumer protection agency possible, and if you’ve been scammed by them too, I encourage you to do the same.

This company was awful - unhelpful, rude, untrustworthy

This company was awful! They drastically underestimated the amount of space I would need to complete my move. Their estimate didn't even accommodate half of the items we needed to move. I believe they did this intentionally to secure my business (and my deposit) and then when I called to tell them that the movers could not fit everything, they increased the price significantly. When I explained that their estimate was way off, they took zero responsibility and simply blamed the fact that they were providing an estimate over the phone and the only recourse was for me to pay more money. The sales team was very responsive in the beginning but when I was past the window of time when my deposit could be refunded, they refused to answer my calls. I left messages and never got a call back. I WILL NEVER USE AMERISAFE AGAIN. They made my move 100 times more stressful than if I had just done the move myself. Do not trust them.

Worst moving experience

I paid for a white glove service. Not that they only not unpacked my stuff and assembled it, they also left all the trash from the move in front of my house. Since I have so many unpacked boxes, I do not even know if all my belongings arrived. I am more than disappointed. For that much money, I could have bought everything new. Please, do not hire them.
