What people say

I would stay clear of this moving…

I would stay clear of this moving company. The sales person was great, sold me on confidence which could not be further from the truth. After the 3rd party picked up my things, suddenly there is very little help at all. No one will tell me when my belongings will arrive. At the time of the 'sale' I was given a good range but now that's a dream. Some of the 'customer service' people are hard to reach, I was hung up on by one of them, and the other woman is quite condescending and not at all caring. I'm very stressed and have no where to go while I wait indefinitely for the movers to deliver and am pretty much on my own. I would think they could act a little caring but they don't. Spare yourself the stress and find another mover.

AmeriSafe Moving Services guys were on…

AmeriSafe Moving Services guys were on time. Helped me finish packing my stuff and relocate my belongings. They had a great attitude and very helpful!! They gave me an best estimate and they were on it, so I payed what I was quoted. TERRIFIC JOB, QUICK AND EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. You won't be disappointed! Highly recommended!!

Working with AmriSafe Moving Brokerage…

Working with AmriSafe Moving Brokerage was a struggle at every step. The process began with a salesperson eager to make a sale, providing an estimation that did not match the inventory list discussed during multiple video calls. Assurances were given—both verbally and via email by Brian, the salesperson—that there would be no hidden or additional costs. Yet, just a week before the move, Bruce from quality assurance revised the estimate, adding $2000 unexpectedly. Moreover, AmriSafe introduced potential additional charges: $75 for every 75 feet walked in the hallway and $75 for elevator usage. The situation was exacerbated by their policy of confirming pickup timing less than 18 hours in advance. As a working professional, the inability to schedule time off created unnecessary stress. Furthermore, my initial $1000 deposit made it financially impossible to switch to another company. Despite knowing AmriSafe was a broker, their lack of transparency made planning difficult, something I hadn’t encountered in previous moves with companies providing white-glove service. The absence of a confirmed moving company also puzzled me; I was told it would be "Perfectly Fast Moving & Storage," but a different company arrived on moving day. In addition to this, despite assurances from Brian, that there would be no extra charges other than second-month storage fees—highlighted in his emails as well—additional costs such as packing materials were unexpectedly quoted at nearly $1000. Attempts to resolve these issues with Veronica from customer service were inefficient, adding to my belief that the approach felt intentionally misleading. While the movers themselves, US Prime Movers, based in Brooklyn, NY, were pleasant and professional, my experience with AmriSafe was replete with stress and broken promises. Given these circumstances, I urge others to approach AmriSafe with caution and to consider alternative, more transparent moving services.

WARNING: AMERI-SAFE IS AWFUL

Dealing with AMERI-SAFE has been one of the worst experiences if my life. They haven't even started packing and my STRESS LEVELS IS A 20 OUT OF 10. I wish I could give a negative rating. The customer service team is disorganized, rude, and dismissive. DO NOT HIRE THEM. They lie during the sales process & once they get your money they treat you like trash.

Dealing with this company has been a nightmare

Dealing with this company has been a HUGE MISTAKE! I decided to use this company for an out of state move after talking with Leo on the phone. He gave me an estimate based on photos and assured me that I would NOT be charged if I used less cubic feet than the estimate. He also gave me a military discount. I paid him $3400 deposit. At this point I believed this was a reputable company to work with. That all changed. Another "customer service" person called me a few days before the scheduled move named Steven. He insisted I should add any possible items that I might want to include "to make sure there was room on the truck". He told me several times that if I did not use all the cubic feet space, I would NOT BE CHARGED for what I didn't use. He charged me another $4004.44 but REMOVED the $1500 Leo had given me for a military discount. When the actual company who was doing the move arrived, NOT the company I had paid already, they wanted another $7347. I was unable to explain what had transpired with AmeriSafe and how much I had already paid them because none of the movers spoke English. I attempted to talk to the reps and AmeriSafe but had absolutely no luck getting the right person on the phone - it's the "oh someone will call you back" bs. Surprise - no one called until my possessions were put on a much smaller truck than I was told was going to be used. Things didn't fit, so we had to pay for another person to use a truck and trailer to move the rest of our things. I had no choice but to pay what amounted to ramsom in order to get our things back. We have talked to various people at Amerisafe trying to get this straightened out, but they could care less since they have their money. My husband and I are considering if we want the hassle of suing; to be decided. I strongly suggest you DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We paid over $16,000 for a $8500 move!!

A Nightmare Moving Experience - Avoid Amerisafe and Cobra Vanlines

Our experience with Amerisafe and their subcontractor, Cobra Vanlines, was nothing short of a disaster. We hired Amerisafe for our move from Michigan to Boise, Idaho, under tight time constraints, and regretfully, we didn’t have time to explore other options. The agent was extremely pushy, which should have been a red flag. The problems began even before the move. The movers were scheduled to arrive in the morning on July 30th. When they didn’t arrive by the promised time, I called AmeriSafe and was told that they would reach by 5pm. However, at 5pm I received a call from the truck driver saying that their truck had broken down and they would not make it that day. AmeriSafe knew that the movers would not arrive on the day, but kept lying to us. The movers did not arrive on July 31st either, and finally came on August 1st. We had to cancel and reschedule our flight, which ended up costing us quite a lot extra. The packers and movers took a long time to pack up, and charged us a much higher amount than previously discussed. At that time we did not seem to have an option, and so went with it. That was just the beginning of the ordeal. We were promised that our stuff would reach Idaho within 7 to 14 days. However, it took over a month for them to deliver our belongings, far beyond what was promised. When our items finally arrived, the condition was appalling. Our 55-inch TV had a shattered screen, our baby’s crib and changing table were heavily scratched, our wooden TV stand had broken legs, and we found the desktop computer placed carelessly in a large box with other items, and it was damaged. To add to the frustration, a valuable machine worth $1,000 was completely broken and no longer functional. The lack of professionalism from both Amerisafe and Cobra Vanlines was astounding. The service was disorganized, communication was poor, and they showed no regard for the stress and financial burden they caused us. For this nightmare, we paid over $11,000. I strongly advise anyone considering Amerisafe or Cobra Vanlines to look elsewhere. This was one of the most frustrating and costly experiences we have ever endured. Save yourself the headache and find a more reliable moving company.

Amerisafe Moving was a horrible…

Amerisafe Moving was a horrible experience for me. Their team was incredibly sloppy, impolite, and disrespectful. They handled my items improperly, and even though I paid for their service, the whole process was annoying. They were unorganized, late, and disrespectful to my property. If you're seeking for trustworthy movers, I wouldn't suggest this firm. Don't come!

Bad coordination

Poor coordination. My car was delivered 5 days earlier, and the household stuff was delivered 12 days later than the expected delivery date. This company is a broker, not a mover, so it is supposed to coordinate the work order, pick-up date, delivery date, etc, with the local movers of their choice, but it did not do anything it should. The dispatch department is awful, rude, and not helping anything. I don't know what they are doing, actually. The truck driver even needed to call me and ask me for my address. It was unbelievable. The 5 diamond moving company, which was the local company they assigned to me, was equally awful. Rude and not proficient in English. I asked them for the receipt for the $480 extra charge I paid for the stairs, but they could not provide me with the receipt.

I just got scammed out of $1500

I just got scammed out of $1500 with this company. Travis, mislead me to believe that my move was going to cost $5000 and took $1900 as a deposit and I was to pay 1550 at pick up and $1550 at drop off. When the day came to pick up, the company sent a guy out but not with a truck, he was there to look at my load. After doing paperwork I was informed that the move was now going to cost $8000. They had lead me to believe that I was purchasing 650 square feet of space and after listing all of the items I was moving, Travis assured me that it was plenty of space for multiple tool boxes, a washer and dryer, an engine crane, floor jack and a full sized Harley Davidson. Once the movers arrived the 650 square feet turned to cubic feet which was barely enough to fit my motorcycle. Once I decided to cancel, I was informed 4 hours later that I was to receive less than $400 of my deposit back. Shop around, this company is misleading
