I own over thirty hats and will not deal with any other company or person for my panama's. A word of caution, there are others trying to make you believe they are the "Panama Hat Direct Co." by misspelling the name and using it as theirs or by using the words in front of their Mall Company. DON'T BE FOOLED. Casey is a honorable man, his prices are very fair and he treats the artisans and customers honestly. Truly none better.

These hats are worth it. After ordering my hat (Montecristi Sub Fino Havana Panama Hat), I received updates on its journey to me from the PHD team including pictures of it (as the lining was inserted, as the band was added, etc.). The hat was shipped to me from Ecuador, in a rugged box with hat holder insert. The box was marked Fragile, it was securely taped shut and reinforced with glue. The hat itself was without blemish. The weave is immaculate, the lining and band are of high quality and I have never looked as good in a hat as in this one. They offer many styles and shapes, with a wide array of sizing options - including a custom made offering. I can highly recommend the craftsmanship and quality of this hat and would encourage anyone looking for a quality accessory to look here.
Great experience working with William the manager who communicated with me on the phone and email throughout the entire process. He helped me place the order so I got exactly what I wanted. A fino fino grade Havana Montecristi hat made to my specifications and for a price that was below what I expected. Panama hat Direct (PHD) sent regular updates by email and included pictures of the hat as it was being made. In the end, I got the hat of my dreams and they sent the name and picture of the weaver who made my hat.

I just received the first of two custom-designed hats I ordered from them - a Fino Montechristi Trilby with a 3.3" - 3.5" full small curled brim, and it is absolutely gorgeous! It is artistically constructed with highest quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. As beautiful as this hat is, I can't wait to receive the 2nd hat I ordered - a Super Fino Montecristi Optimo, also with a 3.3" - 3.5" full small curled brim. Not only are Panama Hats Direct's hats beautiful, their customer service is exceptional. Just got my Classic Fedora Montecristi Fino Fino. Just excellent and worth the wait while they made it. It is my first Panama hat, so I did my research on quality differences, prices, terms used, and companies. All my research led me to Panama Hats Direct. I must have exchanged 5-6 emails with the Manager, William. He was always a gentleman and answered the questions in detail. The measuring process is accurate, so follow their instructions.
