About this business

Founded in 1976, University of Phoenix became one of the first online universities designed for working adults. We offer a powerful combination of career guidance, personal support and flexible learning opportunities — all with options to help save time and money on your degree. Here, the best time for class is when it fits your schedule, so you can balance it all — work, family and school — by focusing on just one 5-to-6-week course at a time. You can discover the exciting and successful careers achieved by our alumni in our Alumni Podcast here: https://www.phoenix.edu/blog/alumni-chronicles/podcast.html And if you want to learn more about some of our most prestigious alumni, the UOPX Alumni Luminaries, go here: https://www.phoenix.edu/alumni/luminaries.html We are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org opens in new window), which validates the University and the quality of our academic programs. Our students learn career-relevant skills from our faculty — leaders working in business, technology, healthcare, education and more — who bring a hands-on perspective and practical knowledge to the classroom. Because we know your life doesn’t stop when the sun goes down, we offer personal support and resources by phone, chat or email to encourage your success as a student and beyond. And with so many ways of staying connected to an inspired community of students just like you — who understand what it takes to keep going and can motivate you along the way — you’re never alone. As a transfer-friendly University, we accept transfer credits from over 5,000+ schools; plus, we provide students with the opportunity to have relevant experiences — everything from life experience to past jobs — evaluated for potential credit to help our students get the college credits they deserve when going back to school. Your 24/7 classroom is open. Don't just take it from us, hear what our alumni have to say about their experience at University of Phoenix on the Degrees of Success podcast: https://www.phoenix.edu/blog/alumni-chronicles/podcast.html

My experience with University of…

My experience with University of Phoenix has been extremely positive. I recently completed my MBA, and the program provided a strong balance of academic rigor and real-world application. The coursework was structured in a way that allowed me to immediately apply concepts to my professional role, particularly in areas like strategic planning, financial analysis, and organizational performance. What stood out most was the flexibility of the program. As a working professional, being able to manage my schedule while still maintaining high academic standards was critical. The online platform was intuitive, and the expectations were clear and consistent across courses. Additionally, the instructors brought practical industry experience into the classroom, which made discussions more meaningful and relevant. Feedback was timely and constructive, helping me continuously improve my work. Overall, the program helped strengthen both my technical and strategic skill sets, and I feel better prepared for the next step in my career. I would recommend University of Phoenix to professionals looking for a flexible, career-focused graduate education.

They Steal Ed Funds

If I could give negative stars, I would. I had an issue with my financial aid being verified after classes were paid for and finished. My ID had expired and they needed a new copy. I loaded to their website, but they had a technical error and it didn't load on their end. We got it figured out. That was in September 2025. I was attending my last class and they refused to release funds. I have called at least 15 times to see the status with no avail. To this date they still have not released the funds. I graduated in October. I received a notice a week ago that I owe back almost 8 thousand dollars because of something with a tax filing thing that was never discussed. Today I received notice they are moving my outstanding balance to collections. Where is my financial aid and my loan money that was accepted and I have proof of from FAFSA? Go anywhere else.

Master's in Eduction - C&I

The University of Phoenix Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) program is a great option for working educators. It offers strong flexibility while still maintaining a meaningful, rigorous learning experience. What stands out most is how practical the program is—everything connects directly to real classroom practice. The focus on data-driven instruction, student engagement, and reflective teaching makes the learning immediately useful. The collaborative discussions also allow you to learn from other educators and gain new perspectives. Overall, it’s a valuable program that supports professional growth and helps educators make a real impact in their classrooms.

Brian from Financial Aid Services…

Brian from Financial Aid Services provided exceptional support during a very stressful situation. He took the time to clearly explain my options, advocated on my behalf, and ultimately helped resolve my account in a way I didn’t think was possible. His professionalism, transparency, and willingness to go the extra mile made all the difference. This is exactly the kind of service that builds trust and loyalty. I’m incredibly grateful for his help.
