Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication and Customer Service

I am writing this review based on my personal experience with Pongbot, which has been extremely disappointing. I placed my order in good faith, expecting a professional service and reasonable communication. I chose to pay through Klarna in three instalments, and all three payments have now been collected, yet I am still waiting for my order to be fulfilled. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is the lack of communication and customer support. Despite contacting Pongbot and following up, I have not received a satisfactory response or a clear explanation of what is happening with my order. As a customer, I don’t believe it is unreasonable to expect transparency, regular updates and some accountability, especially when the company has already received full payment. I was genuinely looking forward to receiving the product, but the entire experience has left me questioning the company’s commitment to its customers. A good product means very little if the customer service behind it fails to deliver. I hope Pongbot takes this feedback seriously, responds to my concerns and resolves the matter promptly. Until then, based on my personal experience, I would find it difficult to recommend Pongbot to anyone considering making a purchase.

They can not deliver

I checked pongbot out before i was a super early bird backer in a kickstarter for the new aura machine. It was supposed to be delivered in july. It’s almost november and still i have no news about my unit. Mails are answered in a generic way without any real info ( we are in the proces off producing and ditributing the units ) this company doesnt care for their clients ! 1 star is even to much !

No response even before purchasing — concerning for after-sales support

I was seriously considering purchasing the PONGBOT Pace S Pro and contacted the company before ordering with several straightforward questions about EU delivery to my country, warranty coverage, service in Europe, spare parts, and what happens if the machine develops a fault. These were particularly important questions for me because this is an expensive product and I wanted to understand what kind of after-sales support I could expect. Unfortunately, I received no response at all. I waited several days, including multiple business days, and eventually sent a follow-up pointing out the lack of response. For a prospective customer who is ready to purchase their flagship tennis ball machine, this is very disappointing. Ironically, one of the main reasons I contacted PONGBOT was to evaluate the quality and responsiveness of their after-sales support. The absence of any response has, in practice, answered at least part of that question for me. The Pace S Pro itself looks genuinely impressive and was high on my shortlist. My concern is not about the product, which I have not purchased or tested. My review is specifically about my pre-purchase experience with the company. If it is this difficult to get an answer before spending the money, it naturally raises concerns about what would happen if technical support or warranty service were needed after the purchase.

Poor communication, poor service

Poor communication, poor service. The machines are cool and good quality, but if a problem occurs (and there will be always problems over time) you are f*cked up. This company is not honest in communication, they do not proper respond to negativ things and there are not helpfull at all with technical issues. Highl recommendes to go for a different brand.

I used the ball machine twice

I used the ball machine twice, and after that it stopped working. I now have to return it. The return process is very complicated, as the devices apparently have to be sent directly back to China. I have already had several problems just trying to obtain and use the return shipping label.

I placed an order 10 days ago and still…

I placed an order 10 days ago and still have not received my item or any valid tracking information. Customer support has stated they are looking into it with the carrier and even mentioned the possibility of a lost package, but I am still left waiting without a clear delivery timeline or active tracking. Hoping customer service can resolve this quickly and provide a firm update. --- update 25/8/2026 - requested refund and in progress - Will star up to 3 when I receive refund --- update 26/8/2026 - refunded

Honestly impressed

I'm not sure why there are so many bad customer service reviews but so far my nova s was delivered well ahead of schedule, the customer service team answered a couple questions I had within a few hours and they helped me with the sale they had just launched too, ordered to York, England.

What just happened I never expect after…

What just happened I never expect after my research before buying pongbot. Such bad experience with the services. The organisation of delivery process is poor. At first, company didnt inform you how the order will be processed. I have order with some extras and those parts didnt come with original parcel. And was left behind the door !!! The DPD delivery company didnt even react on my note about it. So I wrote email and was promptly answeed that other parts come from China separately sonwill be late. After week came small package with free items, but my paid extras didnt. On my email question was again kind apologizes and sugesstions that items are on way. Yes , came next day, but not from China, from Germany as the original box with pongbot 2 weeks ago. Whats more, the item, the expensive battery is probaly broken as some parts lose inside. And I still missing one more important part of my order. So I am really disapointed with such services and my enthusiasm about the product fall down.

Horrible company and poor product

Horrible company and poor product. Bought two of their robots one of them £1,000 both faulty upon delivery. Both don’t integrate with the app so what the app shows is not even close to where the ball lands. Often is shows going over and it lands in the net. I have given them videos of the fault and this is a brand new robot just got it two days ago and they refuse to honor the return and provide zero support or repair they expect me to find the fault and repair the fault on this brand new robot. They have no quality control, their support sucks and they are a scam company and do no allow a return if your brand new robot is faulty.

Absolutely HORRIBLE at answering…

Absolutely HORRIBLE at answering messages and responding to emails. It seems to take them several days just to get back to you. I would like to buy a machine, but I refuse to pay that amount of money to a company that cannot even answer a message.

Still going strong.

Was looking for info on the new Aura machine and ran into this review page and figured I would comment after seeing negative reviews. I run my machine 4-5 a week 1-4 hours. My players love the machine and will even monopolize it when I'm practicing by myself and they happen to show outside of practice times. Consistent feeds, customization, easy load, and battery lasts. I have the remote, but run it from my phone app, sometimes 2-3 courts away while working with other kids. I've run groups of 4-6 and drill trimmers as high as 18 minutes with constant refilling while running. Even with that, it hasn't had any issues with heat, wind, and the AZ dust. I do have to tidy it up every use due to the dirt and debris the balls pick up and deposit in the machine, but nothing has bothered it yet. Position sensors in smart mode allow for slower work on footwork, distancing, and return. My players each have their favorite trigger drills and match point levels. I personally, am still just scratching the surface of what this machine is capable of. I was part of the early bird Kickstarter group and got my pro later than anticipated, but still early on and it has been worth it. I did have an issue early with the battery indicator failure and communication was difficult due to USA / Hong Kong time difference, but they responded and helped me as best they could. (Turned out to be light issue only and battery itself is still working fine.) This machine will be with me for as long as I can take care of it. I have plans to buy again when this one fails as it has been a dream. I just wish there was a total ball counter as I believe I'm sitting at less than a penny per fed ball by now.

New Pace S Pro broken - no customer service

I waited a year (!) for my Pace S Pro. Of course, after waiting a year, I had to reinstall all the updates, which took quite a long time. After the whole process, I got error message 2008. I contacted customer service and Max gave me instructions on what to do. When that didn't work, he said that the motherboard was defective. He would send me a new one. I would then have to install it myself. He did not respond to my request to at least extend the warranty. I find it very strange that after waiting a year for an expensive tennis ball machine that is advertised as being high quality, I am not even given a warranty extension and have to replace the motherboard myself. Is it due to the poor quality of the machine or is customer service ‘just’ overwhelmed? To be continued.

No tech support, Warranty is a joke

I purchased PongBot Omni Pro for $1300. This little robot is incredibly customizable and easy to use, until it stops working after only 8 months of normal use. Then I discovered that the company doesn’t have proper after-sales support. They have no office locations in the U.S., and all communication has to go through someone oversea. That means you ask a question and get a reply a day later (if you’re lucky). If you ask a follow-up question, you wait yet another day. The process is ridiculously long and inefficient. Although they claim the product has a 1-year warranty, they asked me to sent them numerous video clips showing that the robot doesn’t work properly, and I followed every troubleshooting step they asked of me. In the end, they wanted me to fix it myself by shipping me a part. The part arrived after 2 weeks, it is clearly a used part they disassembled from another robot. Right after it arrived, my husband and I spent 3 hours trying our best to do the repair followed their crappy instructions, but no luck. The robot reacted the same way. Nothing is working. They finally agreed that I would have to pack the robot myself and ship it to their overseas location, but they have been extremely slow in arranging the shipping. I even paid $65 to have a packing company box it up with padding, and this giant box has been sitting in my living room since mid-September with no instructions on how or where to ship it. It’s now been 6-7 weeks since the robot stopped working, and I don’t know how long it will take to get this process done. All their responses were “we have some issues with our repair warehouse, we will let you know when we confirm”, over and over, not helpful at all. This has been a such frustrating experience. I regret getting this $1300 robot in the first place. I suggest you really need to think through before you purchase it.

By far the best AI tennis training tool!

I am a tennis coach, and I have used the PongBot Pace S Pro for over 5 months. I can say it is by far the most advanced AI training tool. Many features make this tennis robot stand out; however, my favorite ones are: 1) Custom Drills This feature allows me to create the drills that my students need. It can add up to 40 balls per sequence, which is amazing. I can pre-program the drills in the PongBot app and have them available whenever my students need. I can even share the drills I create with the PongBot community or download other players' drills. 2) Recovery Trigger With this feature, the machine can track when you move to a certain spot and feed only then. This means if you get tired, the machine will wait for you until you get to the specific spot. That's because the PongBot robot comes with sensors that you place on the net, and one on you (hat, clothes), which allows the machine to track where you are on the court. In this way, the machine adapts to you, not the other way around. 3) Adaptive Rally It is another AI feature that PongBot offers. Through its sensors, it tracks the player's position on the court and feeds to that spot. Which means the player doesn't have to rush quickly to a particular place after hitting the ball. The player can practice hitting from various parts of the court - best for beginner players, but not only. There are many other features, like the NTRP training, the adjustable speed, spin, and placement of the ball. Plus, the fact that the battery lasts forever... well, not quite, but 8 hours is more than plenty. Overall, the PongBot Pace S Pro is by far the most advanced tennis robot I've played with, and I've been using ball machines for more than 20 years. I am glad I finally found one where I can put my creativity to the test. :)

Ordered in November, still have not received in July

The product may be good, or may not. I don't know because I still haven't received it. I ordered their tennis machine and it still hasn't come nearly a year later. I've ordered off kickstarter before, but this is by far the worst experience. They don't reply to comments on there like other brands do and when you email them you get slow, vague, inaccurate replies. Even giving the leniency that it was a kickstarter campaign, it is completely unacceptable.
