BUYER BEWARE — Extremely Misleading “Free Shipping” Very disappointing experience with PoolSupplyUnlimited.com. I placed an order for a pool heater costing over $2,000, which was advertised with FREE SHIPPING. After placing the order, they called me and said they would require an additional $500 just to ship it to my area — in New York! If you advertise an item with free shipping and allow a customer to complete the purchase at that price, you shouldn’t come back afterward demanding another $500 to actually deliver the product. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch: advertise an attractive delivered price, get the customer to place the order, and then hit them with a massive additional shipping charge afterward. A $500 surprise shipping charge on a $2,000+ purchase is absolutely ridiculous. If certain areas are excluded from free shipping, that should be made VERY CLEAR before the customer places the order—not after. BUYER BEWARE. Verify the actual delivered price with them before ordering, because apparently “FREE SHIPPING” may not actually mean free shipping.
We’re sorry for the frustration and understand why an additional charge of this size was upsetting. Although standard freight shipping was included with the heater, deliveries to Staten Island can cost significantly more due to limited carrier access and additional destination fees. The $500 quoted was not the full shipping cost. We waived the amount normally covered by our free-shipping offer and only requested a portion of the unusually high additional cost charged to deliver to this location. Our shipping policy notes that additional charges may be required for areas where carrier costs exceed standard delivery rates. We apologize that this possibility was not clearer during checkout. We understand how receiving the notice afterward affected your experience and appreciate the opportunity to explain.
I did pick up my order but it was delayed by FedEx they give me a really hard time to pick up my order later and deliver it to my house properly and I had to go to the depot and when I went to the depot they were asking me a lot of information about my pickup and they delayed my pickup at one point they told me we didn't received the package then they received the package then they gave it to me but I spent over an hour negotiating with them in order to be able to pick up the item very unacceptable

THIS COMPANY DOES NOT VALUE IT'S CUSTOMERS OR THEIR TIME. SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE. YOU"VE BEEN WARNED... So I ordered some sealant from this company and they shipped out a pool equipment cap instead. The box that arrived with the pool cap in it (not my sealant) clearly had the details of my purchased sealant on the tag outside. I guess the shipping dept. made a goof. I get it , we all make mistakes and deserve a chance to correct them, but when I notified the company through several emails and 3 phone calls, all I got was a run around that they would fix it in 24-48 hours. All that happened in that time was me and my client getting stalled out. After the 48 hours was up and I made a few more calls, and they finally sent me a return label to ship back the pool cap lol, but no answer on getting my refund or even better, just sending me the sealant I ordered!?! Anyway, I reported the fraud to my credit card company since they can afford to spin their wheels with this dog and pony show. What a COMPLETE WASTE OF A WEEK OF MY TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. SHOP ELSEWHERE or chance piss poor customer service if something goes wrong (like they ship you the wrong item lol)
