What reviewers say

AI generated

Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently praise the wide variety of authentic collectibles available, noting how remarkably easy and engaging the bidding process is on the platform. People consistently mention that orders arrive promptly and safely, with purchased products arriving exactly as described online and securely packed for transit. Some reviewers were not truly happy with high auction fees and expensive shipping costs that significantly increased their total spending. A few other people also felt that certain mystery box purchases and delivered items simply did not meet their initial expectations or match listed descriptions.

12 Orders and Zero Issues

I have made about 12 purchases through Pristine and they have all arrived well packaged and usually arrive earlier than expected. All items are as advertised and everything has been great all around.

Wonder what else they auction of is fake....

Bid on and won a beautiful ring that was advertised as a lab grown diamond. Got the order in and went to have the ring sized at 3 different places and all told me the same thing...the diamond is not a lab grown diamond, rather it is a "diamond substitute" and due to that and liability reasons, they would not be able to do anything related to the diamond. I contacted Pristine to get the information for the company that the ring came from and they refused to give me any information without printouts from the companies on official letterhead saying what the stone tested as. None of the jewlers would provide a print out so Pristine would not do anything. So now I am having to seek legal representation for false advertising of both Pristine and have to get the company that sent the ring. It is such a headache and now I am questioning everything I have won from them as to the legitimacy.

Hello Cody, This is a standard requirement for our claims process; we just need official documentation from the third-party reviewer to validate the claim. As we previously mentioned via email, we are more than happy to issue a full refund as soon as you can provide those supporting documents.

Protected by the Rules, Not Guided by Customer Service

Until fairly recently, I was a 100% fan of Pristine Auctions. I've spent thousands of dollars with them this year alone and have won some fantastic items. I've also had some disappointments, but in many cases those were on me for not doing enough research before bidding. What changed my opinion has been my experience with their mystery packs, particularly the last few I've purchased. Let me be clear: I understand exactly how mystery packs work. I know about floors and ceilings. I understand the odds. I know that chasing a few grail items among hundreds of packs is part of the game. Pristine is very careful with its descriptions, and I have no issue with the fact that there are winners and losers in these products. My issue is with how little value seems to be placed in the losing packs. The last few mystery packs I received were, in my opinion, completely worthless. I'm not exaggerating when I say there was nothing inside that I would have wanted to keep, display, collect, or even attempt to resell. There is a difference between opening a mystery pack and feeling disappointed because you didn't hit a big win, and opening one and feeling like you received the absolute minimum possible value. Unfortunately, that's how I felt. To be fair, Pristine fulfilled exactly what was promised. They were within the rules, within the terms, and within the guarantees advertised. I willingly took the risk and accept responsibility for that. But just because something meets the minimum requirements doesn't mean it creates a good customer experience. What disappoints me most is that Pristine could easily make these products feel less punishing for customers who don't hit. A few extra dollars of value in the losing packs would go a long way toward building goodwill and encouraging repeat purchases. Instead, my experience left me feeling like the company is focused on doing the bare minimum required rather than creating a positive experience for all customers. Will I buy another mystery pack from Pristine? Absolutely not. In fact, I don't plan to spend another dollar with a company that seems comfortable delivering the minimum possible value simply because the fine print allows it. Had the losing packs been just a little more generous, I likely would have continued spending thousands more over time. Instead, the experience convinced me to take my business elsewhere. And before Pristine responds by pointing to the odds, disclaimers, guarantees, and fine print, let me say this: I understand all of that. The issue isn't whether the packs were technically compliant with the advertised terms. The issue is whether the company chooses to treat customers fairly when they lose. In my experience, the answer was no. That's my opinion as someone who spent a significant amount of money with Pristine and genuinely wanted to keep being a customer.

Hello William, Thank you for your support of Pristine Auction and for sharing your candid feedback. We are glad to hear you've won some fantastic items with us in the past, and we appreciate your clear understanding of how mystery packs operate regarding odds, floors, and ceilings. You are entirely correct that mystery products inherently come with winners and losers, and that our packs strictly adhere to the advertised terms and guarantees. However, we take your point seriously that meeting technical requirements is only one part of the customer experience. While the nature of these products means that "floor" packs will always represent the baseline value, our goal is never to leave a loyal customer feeling undervalued. We appreciate your insight regarding the balance between high-end hits and baseline packs, and have shared your perspective with our team for future consideration. Thank you again for your time and your past business. We hope you might consider returning to our standard auctions in the future.
