What people say

Convenient and quiet area

We liked the area very convenient. Park in back for our grandchildren to play was great. Very quiet and safe area. Having stayed in the area before and we were looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately a few issues happened. We came back to house one day and there were construction workers there working on annex deck. No one informed us. The pool was not heated on time for us There were also bugs. Every morning my husband and I did a bug check and usually found several running. House needs updating.

Poor Customer Service

Check-in was to be 4pm. Upon arrival, the cleaners had just entered the property and started cleaning. We were to attend a birthday party and needed the house to shower and get dressed. We had to maneuver around the cleaners to get ready and leave the premises before the cleaners were finished. We were told the prior renters had just left the home????? Then, upon arrival from the party, the door code provided in the contract did not open the door. Several calls were made to emergency line and information was gathered but no return call was received. We had to wait nearly an hour before we were able to get a hold of a Reunion Resort employee who provided us a different number than which your company provided. That representative was able to remotely reset the door code. AT NO TIME WAS A FOLLOW UP CALL RECEIVED TO APOLOGIZE OR CHECK IN ON US. Also, the WiFi provided to us in the contact was not the correct WiFi. We found a book on the counter that provided us the correct WiFi information. The kitchen utensils (pans) were horrible and need to be replaced. The grill was filthy dirty and could not be used because there was nothing to clean the grill with. Toilet paper rolls were not replaced and were left with only a few squares for future use. Corkscrew needs to be added as a bar-ware product. It’s a basic in every rental. The broom in the house was broken and could be barely used.

We had a wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was done well, except the kitchen for a 3 bedroom unit was lacking in things like a griddle, a slow-cooker, a large non-stick fry pan, a few more rubber spatulas, 13x9 cake pan, large pizza pan, for larger meals. We switched the light bulbs from the living room to the back bedroom because they were so dim. The LR TV should be hung on the wall and larger. Needs redecorating. Younger people may not consider it because it's outdated. The building is solid and we loved the large sliding door to the balcony. The pools could use more seating, but they were wonderful. The landscaping was well trimmed and the property well-cared for.

Pretty good

Our stay has been okay-pretty good. The unit itself is very comfortable, well laid out, the beds were great, balcony amazing, A few things that have occurred making our stay less than ideal without any follow-ups for issues still uncorrected or causing friction - AC didnt work correctly, thermostat shared with us by (3) maintenace folks it should be replaced, still yet to be replaced and still doesn't function correct - my mother in law's bday, she hasn't been very happy about this making her sleep not so great. - Dishwasher doesn't work - Dust left on most areas not fully cleaned upon arrival - Dryer doesn't really work well, dried clothes for 3+ hours and still not dry - Dust ruffle all torn/ripped in bedroom 3 - No toilet paper was supplied on arrival that took a day for someone to respond and help us

Great location, beautiful home!

Our rental home and resort had absolutely everything we needed to make the memorable family vacation we were looking for! The house was clean, well equipped, in a convenient location, safe gated neighborhood, surrounded by other beautiful homes, with a view of the golf course. Spent everyday in the pool/hot tub, enjoyed the waterpark and mini golf. We rented a 6 passenger golf cart for ease of getting around the resort for 1 day and utilized the shuttle the other days. Shuttle driver Josh was our favorite.

Buyer beware w/Florida Vacation Homes

Buyer beware with Florida Vacation Homes. We booked our stay over 2 months in advance. I got a call about a week before we were set to check in that our house had no cable or wi-fi and we had to move, which we weren’t happy about, but understood. From that moment on, everything went south. We were originally in Champions Gate and got moved to Solterra Resort. Solterra was fine, but we lost amenities (game console in the house, game room and mini golf on the property) that were extremely helpful in the cold spring break weather Orlando had this year, and the house was NOT an upgrade. We were told there was nothing left in Chapions Gate. So essentially our family had nothing to do at the Solterra resort or in our home. Things we had with the original property/resort we chose. The substitution just was not near comparable. The garage was advertised but then locked and we were offered an apology and an excuse that the home owners didn’t want to give access to th garage. Rest assured, the description has now been changed on the website. For the inconveniences we were offered a waived resort fee (which we didn’t use because of the weather), a heated pool (which was not ready upon our arrival and that would’ve been the only good weather day to use it.. then we got fed a bunch of garbage excuses about why it wasn’t ready), and a late checkout (which was the only thing we were able to utilize). The company was very communicative leading up to our check in and the first evening but has not communicated with me for over 72 hours at this point about some kind of partial refund for all of the inconveniences we were subjected to. I cannot even review the actual Home we stayed in because either Florida Vacation Homes or Vrbo or both have changed the home from the original one we booked to the one we’re actually placed in. Do not recommend booking with this company. They don’t care about their guests experience as evidenced by their ghosting of us for 76 hours and counting…

beautiful house

The house was beautiful, clean, and surprisingly close to the parks. We enjoyed the pool and game room. A couple of the games need some attention. Since it is requested that the air conditioning not be set below 72, ceiling fans would have been nice in the bedrooms. It gets hot at night when the doors are closed. The WiFi was very spotty and the tv in the living room did not work but we were gone a lot so it wasn’t too inconvenient.

So many maintenance problems

So many maintenance problems. The toilet seat was on the floor when we arrived. Sheer curtains in living room mismatched, the electrical light switches in two bedrooms do not connect the outlets. The handle on washing machine broken hard to open hurt my hand several times. No fire extinguisher! No oven mitts ! TV in one bedroom not hooked up to cable! It took over a hour the clean the dirt clogged in vacuum sweeper. Bathrooms old. Broken Screen door just laying on patio floor put it on door to get out of the way. Electrical wire in main bedroom no cover not good. I could keep going but it’s upsetting!

Difficulty getting a pass on arrival…

Difficulty getting a pass on arrival and issues with the condo were sent at 8 the morning after arrival, by text and email. No response so I had to call in around 1 a was told the office was Busy, probably had not seen my communication yet. They would be addressed right away. No response till I texted again at 4:13 pm. Issue was not resolved with the pass till the last day. Issues with the condo never mentioned or resolved, poor to no communication offered by staff at FVH. Certainly not proactively attempting to care for customers issues, Appeared to be a “if we ignore it, it will go away” situation. A partial refund was offered, which is appreciated, but would have rather paid full price and had a problem free experience. When issues do arrive, they should be addressed immediately, not waiting for 8 hours to get a response after having contacted you 4 times.

Rethink staying here

7714 Linkside Loop - RVH_1366CR We recently stayed at this Florida property and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. One of the main reasons we chose this home was for the hot tub, as we were looking forward to a relaxing, therapeutic backyard experience. However, we arrived on Saturday and the hot tub was not working. It wasn’t repaired until Thursday, which meant we were unable to use it for the majority of our stay. We did receive partial compensation, but given that this was a key feature of the property, it felt insufficient. In addition, there was a very loud mechanical device from the neighboring pool equipment that ran all the time. The constant noise significantly affected the atmosphere in the backyard. Instead of being peaceful and relaxing, it was difficult to fully enjoy the outdoor space because of the ongoing mechanical sound. Overall, while the home itself had potential, it does need the carpets replaced, the combination of the unusable hot tub for most of our trip and the persistent noise from next door made the stay less enjoyable than we had hoped.

This was 100% the best vacation rental…

This was 100% the best vacation rental we have stayed in - and we have stayed in many! The house was stunning, clean, had everything we needed. The neighborhood, amenities etc were fabulous. There really is not one bad thing about Reunion or where we stayed. I didn't want to leave!

Cozy Island living at its best!!

We throughly enjoyed this property! The location was perfect for exploring the island. We especially loved the back yard patio with lounge chairs and fire table. Our first few days were cold but Dean was quick to make sure that we had everything we needed to stay toasty warm! Would definitely recommend a stay in this cozy unit, it’s small but has everything you need for a wonderful vacation on the Island!

Good, but not great

Things we liked: Very spacious, clean, most beds were comfortable, modern look, plenty of plates and silverware, heating and cooling functioned Things that were irritating: 1) Previous renters laundry was on the kitchen counter 2) Loose tiles around the pool and pool was not heated as requested when we arrived, took a couple of days 3) 2 of 6 dining chairs had broken legs and they took one away for our party of 7 staying there 4) WiFi did not work and was down for 2 days before they got it working again 5) Kitchen faucet hose was dangling and would not retract - fixed after 1 day. Did not fix the master bath suite detached faucet despite 2 visits to try and repair. 6) No one extra toilet paper, 1 paper towel roll, 1 dishwasher pod, 1 laundry pack, no tissues 7) Pool table had broken pocket and gaming chairs did not function

Bear’s Den Gem- barely a gem

We were really looking forward to our stay at Bear’s Den Gem based on how beautiful it looks online. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations — it felt more like “Barely a Gem.” From arrival, we had major issues with the internet despite being told it was restored. The provided hotspot was choppy and only supported two TVs on the main floor, making remote work impossible for multiple adults. There were also safety and cleanliness concerns: exposed nails in a bedroom entryway, stained sheets, and dog waste throughout the backyard that was dismissed as wildlife (it was not). Door and pool alarm issues, along with other maintenance items, should have been addressed before guest arrival. While maintenance fixed most urgent issues, it took two days and multiple follow-ups. We spent a large portion of our trip chasing resolutions and felt unheard and dismissed. Additionally, although located in a gated community, entering each time you leave is time-consuming and frustrating. The home photographs well and has potential, but it currently lacks the upkeep, responsiveness, and reliability families need. I would not recommend this property to anyone who requires dependable WiFi, strong safety standards, and prompt support. I’m hopeful that because of our experience these issues will be resolved for future guests — but unfortunately, it had to be us who experienced them, and the handling of the final resolution was very disappointing.

Well Below expectations

We’ve stayed in the Reunion Resort for 3 consecutive years. (Different homes rented each time). This property is well below the standard we’ve come to expect from Reunion Resort. Upon arrival our early check-in (for which we paid an additional $154 was said to be ‘unavailable’). After much consternation and calls with the property manager, ultimately we were thankfully able to access the property. The majority of the home had an infestation of very small ants (even though there were visible ant traps in most rooms). Very off-putting; particularly in the kitchen! The upstairs super-hero bedroom smelled moldy and damp the entire time. The outdoor grill was non-functional (broken knobs, etc. totally unusable). The majority of the toilet paper and towel holders in the bathrooms were broken and falling out of the walls. The air hockey game was only marginally workable (pucks got stuck on the sides constantly during gameplay). One of the motorcycle video games didn’t even turn on at all. The main living room couch had multiple visible stains on it. The area rug underfoot was stained and dirty, as were all the bathmats. I will say that the pool and spa were well heated and maintained and very enjoyable. Ultimately for the cost and given the multitude of other options available in the Orlando area, I would not recommend staying here. It’s too bad honestly, because our previous two stays at Reunion were outstanding!

Seamless, spotless vacation rental!
