What people say

They damaged my phone and claimed that it was damaged prior.

I submitted my phone to them. They followed up with a message stating that the back glass was detached from the frame and that the phone was damaged. They adjusted their offer twice prior to me requesting my device back after lowballing their initial counter offer stating that it was damaged. This phone was used daily with no issues prior to them receiving it. There is a clear pry mark on the bottom right-hand side of the screen that is now irreparable and the back glass of the phone is now detached where it wasn't before. I wish I had dealt with anyone else other than this company. I wish that a zero-star review was an option, but one-star will have to suffice for this experience.

Caution

I had 3 iPhones that were in cases with screen protectors on them the entire time. The quote I received online was almost double what they ended up emailing me with. They claimed there were scratches on a screen that has never been touched. Be cautious when choosing this company. I could have gotten this same pricing from local places without dealing with the shipping and waiting for a payout.

Scammers selling bad phones

They have misleading listings and selling barely functional devices that aren't even comparable with what they listed. Do not trust them. Ofc they get to charge 15% restocking fees to line their pockets for their trash listings. Just buy anywhere else

Hi George, We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience. However, we’d like to clarify a few important details for accuracy. The device you purchased was clearly listed as Fully Functional and in Fair condition, with wear and tear expected and described in the product listing. While we understand condition ratings can be subjective, we follow consistent industry standards for grading, and all functionality is tested before shipment. Despite the phone matching the described condition and functionality, we still accepted your return and issued a refund. We believe that was a fair resolution and were happy to honor it to ensure a smooth return process. We stand behind our products and our policies, and we’re always open to feedback when it’s constructive and factual. – The SaveGadget Team

Updated review

I previously gave this company a 1 star review because I felt that I had been cheated, and I was afraid that I was going to be scammed. In a nutshell, I sent SaveGadget my iPad and was quoted $116 and my offer was then adjusted to $10. After communicating with the company, I see where I was wrong and I have been sent back my iPad. I thought that my iPad was in perfectly good condition, but I forgot that I did have a few cosmetic scratches on my iPad because it is always in the case. I also forgot that my speakers were in fact damaged, an easy thing to overlook or forget because I do not use my iPad to really record or make calls. So from the beginning I gave them the wrong impression of trying to sell my iPad to them in new and pristine condition instead of used. What I like about this company is that I was given free diagnostic tests on my device, and even though I declined their offer they sent me my device back free of charge with the tracking information provided. However, what I don’t like is the adjusted offer they offered me. Because I had more than 2 issues wrong with my iPad (3 damaged speakers), they labeled my device as broken and offered me $10 which I believe is unfair and predatory. I believe that they would’ve cheated me out of something good had I accepted their offer. My iPad is a great device and is running smoothly. SaveGadget, I apologize for my behavior and for my baseless accusations towards you all. I had never used this company before and I thought that you all were going to take my device and run. My apologies and my apologies towards anyone who was misled by my previous review. I wish you all the best.

Hi Jordan, Thank you for taking the time to update your review and share the full details of your experience. We truly appreciate your honesty and the opportunity to clarify the situation. We're glad we were able to resolve things by returning your iPad free of charge, and we’re grateful you acknowledged the diagnostic service and communication you received throughout the process. Our team follows a detailed evaluation process based on clear grading criteria, especially when functional issues like speaker damage are present — even if they’re easy to overlook in daily use. That said, if there’s anything specific that didn’t meet your expectations or something we could improve in the future, we’d truly appreciate your feedback. You can always reach us directly at [email protected] — we’re here to listen and improve. Best Regards, – The SaveGadget Team

Great Customer Service!

The communication was great! We had some hiccups, but it was on my end. I didn't have certain things unlocked. They sent me an email letting me know. They kept me informed via the website dashboard. Out of all of the places online Savgadget gave me the highest amount for my apple watch. I put mint condition and they agreed. I saw in other reviews they didn't give the customers what they were expecting. Well that was not the case for me. They sent me an email letting know me they were sending my payment through paypal. I didn't get the day I was supposed to, but I emailed customer support. Within 30 minutes I received a paypal notification I had money. I would STRONGLY consider going through Savegadget again. I had a very positive experience.

Made an offer for our phone

Made an offer for our phone. Then when it arrived, in the exact state we described, they basically said it's too broken and they can only recycle it. Seems like a big scam. Edit/update: The company after seeing my review was magically able to get it turned on after a "senior" engineer reviewed it. They've offered me the original money in exchange for removing this negative review. I won't be bribed and will be turning over their emails to Trust pilot

Hi Graham, We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate your feedback. Upon inspection, we found that the device does not power on and is iCloud locked. As outlined in our trade-in policy, we require all devices to be fully signed out of iCloud and to power on so we can verify key details like IMEI or serial number. Without this, we’re unable to offer payment and can only provide free recycling. We give the option to have the device returned at no cost. However, you confirmed that you'd prefer to recycle it.
