Swollen Battery After Less Than 2 Years, No Support From SHARGE
I was initially satisfied with my SHARGE ICEMAG, but my experience with customer support has been very disappointing.
The power bank was purchased in October 2024 and the battery has swollen after less than two years of normal use.
I noticed the issue when the power bank became unusually warm while charging my phone and charging speed became significantly slower. After inspection, I discovered that the battery had swollen.
SHARGE acknowledged the issue and advised me to stop using and charging the device immediately due to safety concerns. However, because the product was slightly outside the warranty period, no replacement, compensation, or goodwill solution was offered.
I understand warranty limitations, but I expected better support for a lithium battery product that developed a safety-related defect after less than two years of use.
Unfortunately, this experience has significantly reduced my confidence in the brand, and I will consider other manufacturers such as Anker for future purchases.

Hi,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're truly sorry to hear about your experience with your ICEMAG and understand your disappointment regarding the battery swelling and the resolution offered.
We take battery safety concerns seriously. To help us review your case and better understand the previous communication, could you please provide screenshots of your correspondence with our customer support team?
Unfortunately, SHARGE currently does not have an official repair center, so we are unable to provide repair services. As your product is outside the warranty period, we are also unable to offer a free replacement.
At this time, the alternative we can offer is a discount on a new order as a goodwill gesture.
Please continue to stop using or charging the swollen power bank. Do not attempt to open or repair it, and contact your local battery recycling or hazardous-waste disposal service for safe handling and disposal guidance.
We sincerely apologize that we cannot offer a more satisfactory resolution at this time. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention and hope you will allow us the opportunity to review your case further.
Disappointed after supporting SHARGEEK from the crowdfunding days
I’m extremely disappointed with how SHARGE handled my situation, especially considering I have been a loyal customer since the company’s early days.
I purchased my SHARGEEK S100P 100W charger when it was launched through crowdfunding, back when the company was still known as SHARGEEK. I supported the product early on and have genuinely loved this charger for years, particularly its unique design and yellow color.
Recently, one of the folding AC plug blades broke. I contacted SHARGE because I wanted to repair the charger, not get something for free. I even clearly told them that I was willing to pay for the repair, replacement part, or another solution because I like this particular product that much.
Their response was that they don’t provide component-level repairs or replacement folding plug assemblies. They then asked me for my order information to see whether there were other options. Because I purchased it so many years ago through crowdfunding, I explained that I could no longer locate the original order details.
The response I then received was simply:
“Sorry, if you purchased this product via crowdfunding, it is now out of warranty.”
That was extremely disappointing.
I wasn’t asking for a free warranty replacement. I already acknowledged that the product was old and specifically said I was willing to pay to have it repaired or find another solution.
What bothers me most is that early crowdfunding customers were there when the company needed people to financially support its products and help get the brand started. Years later, when one of those customers asks for some assistance and is even willing to pay for it, I expected more effort than simply being told the product is out of warranty.
A company isn’t obligated to provide a lifetime warranty, and I understand that. But customer service is about more than whether something is technically under warranty. They could have offered a paid replacement option, refurbishment, trade-in, checked for old inventory, or at least given me a more thoughtful response.
I went into this conversation as someone who genuinely loved the SHARGEEK brand and wanted to keep using one of its products. Unfortunately, the way this was handled has seriously changed how I feel about the brand.
Supporting a company early should feel like it meant something, not like you’re forgotten once the warranty expires.
This is by far the best power bank i have used so far . I tried 5 ,10 and 20 Mah and def this has been the most reliable . It does cools down with the internal micro fan . Every single other brand I've tried they all get over heated . Im on my third unit of the icemag2 I had to give the first 2 to a friend and my daughter . I had a small issue with second one and within 24 hrs they answer my email and gave me instructions that helped to correct the small problem. I know this company now has the icemag3 but for the price and how reliable the icemag2 works for me I dont want to change even if they call it an upgrade. I see some people and reddit writing non sense and i think there is something else behind the exagerated comments against this product . Patrick Martinez
shargeek Storm 2 slim cannot charge already fight to have a product replacement since the first is KO this won works 1 months one time I forget to charge it it commes to 0% now it's impossible to re-charge . DO NOT BUY ON THIS WEBSITE VERY BAD QUALITY PRODUCT
Gets too hot - support asking for a video with thermometer
Bought AeroMag powerbank that gets so hot I am worried it will burn up or burn my phone. Reached out to support and I was asked to provide a video with a thermometer measuring the temp. I am sorry but that is a ridiculous ask. I am not buying an item that cost more than the powerbank just to measure the temp. I guess I am stuck with this now. Definitely won't be buying anything from this company.
Power bank failed after less than 5 uses. Sharge customer service is absolutely horrible. They refused to replace it and yet asked you to buy a new one from them again for … wait for it … a 8% goodwill discount. Stay away from this scam company.
Buying things off the back of a truck feels less scammy and repulsive than from Sharge.
You buy a ridiculously overpriced powerbank, targeted at "geeks", marketed very obviously as transparent and DIY, invoking a feeling of high repairaibility. Fast forward 30 months, the product randomly breaks. You contact their "lifetime support", with the receipt attached and ask for help, who tell you to contact the retailer, who obviously won't be much help outside warranty.
I'll spare you the back and forth, the result is that they:
- Offer no repairs
- Offer no spare parts, citing the product being "discontinued" - which it clearly isn't - as the reason. (Like that's a good reason anyway)
- HAGGLE on a discount for buying the same shitty product!
They offered 5% first, seeing if I was dumb enough to take the bait, and after telling them "screw you" raised it to a whopping 8%!
Worst company I've dealt with in a while, super misleading marketing, awful business practices, awful non-support with sustainability and customer happiness obviously at the bottom of their priorities.
Do NOT buy their stuff, it's highly overpriced, they offer 0 support and are super shady.
Customer support works when they ultimately get in touch
UPDATE: It took me a while to get a response, and I had to try all channels (including Discord, FB, etc). However, once they did respond, the service was excellent in resolving my issue. Not the outcome I had for, but a practical resolution, at least, and efforts on their customer support to provide a way forward. Hence, the 4 star rating. Thanks Sharge for resolving my issue ultimately.

Customer support is non-existent. Although they list their returns/exchange policies clearly, they themselves do not abide by the process that is listed in their website. And if you select Support in their website, it is just an empty landing page that asks you to sign up to their newsletter with your email, but no other support links or functions. Their products may be good, but if you order the wrong thing, or receive the wrong thing, or need to return/exchange your order, good luck. Even good luck may not get you what you wanted to buy or your money back. Honestly, they should be reported to consumer protection agencies.
Sharge Storm 2 text invisibly small. Unable to see percent charge
Love looks of Sharge Storm 2 but text is soo small. If the lighting is not perfect, or you are slightly presbyopic, you wont be able to read the display. Thus, can't tell if it is full or nearly empty. Poor design. Prefer other chargers so I know what percentage I have left.
The item (Icemag 1) purchased was functioning perfect until started to swell, contacted SHARGE and they advised me to stop using it straight away and they sent me a replacement with the condition to pay the transport considering that the item was purchased with more than a year ago , the communication was a but of a delay but overall all good , well done customer service team!
Bought a product is not working, faulty item quality and durability is not good. Customer service never come back to me regarding my request for replacement.
Ordered sharge pixel 140 watt. After a few days package arrived but the charger was pixel 100 watt with incorrect 140w sticker barcode. Tried contacting multiple times. The first time I got a message back for photos, to which I responded with the photos, and after that no more contact. It is few weeks and emails/forms sent later still with no response and without the product I bought. After some time finały got a response - I’m getting the other charger for cheaper (the difference between the two) as I agreed to also keep the 100w
Item never arrived. Mind you they sent it by EVRI so once I saw that never expected to get it. I took out the insurance with them. Have to wait 30 days to claim even though EVRI have already admitted they have lost it.
Overall it seems like a scam... American company and then dispatched from China. They have not responded to my emails. Wouldn't recommend and would advise everyone else to avoid.
Initially, my experience with Sharge went from mediocre to bad. The biggest thing that made me feel that way is the lack of options for customer support. The only way to get any type of support is by email and with that, they take 48 to 72 hours to respond. I did some research and I'm not the only one with that problem so someone suggested that I can contact them through Discord. I did that and it was then, an agent named Jenessa was the one that pretty much convinced me not to cancel my order. In the 10 mins I chatted with Jenessa, she resolved my questions and concerns. Plus! She told me she would update me every step of the way for my order until I received it and to my surprise, she kept her word.
Whoever Jenessa's supervisor is and you're reading this, give her a promotion, a raise, have her write a training manual of how customer service should be for the company because she deserves that recognition.
Awesome products, very kind and helpful support team. I got flow 2 mini and pouch and they work great. I also bought ice mag 3 but it had problem in shipment. When i contacted support team they were very warm, helpful and immidiately arranged new ice mag 3 on my way. I wish every support teams were like them🙌🏻
Absolutely disgraceful company don't get me wrong their products do look really good however the customer service is literally non existent so it's a gamble if you buy off them because if you do receive your product then lucky you but if you don't your gonna have one hell of a hard time trying to get the matter resolved 2 weeks in and not a single response from them next step chargeback on my card to get my money back but it shouldn't come to that look at the other reviews aswell it shouldn't tell you what type of company they really are
Extremely slow delivery. Made 2 purchases and delivery are beyond what was guided in the FAQ, shipments almost always got held up in China for at least a week
So it took a while but they sorted me out and I am happy with the outcome. They make great products and I have lots of them so when something broke they replaced it and all is well. Good customer services nice team and a happy customer
