Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Consumers generally find the machines powerful and capable of delivering professional results for various crafting and engraving projects. People often appreciate the helpful customer support team and the prompt assistance provided when minor mechanical issues arise.
Some reviewers were not happy with the frustratingly slow response times, communication barriers, and unexpected delivery delays. Customers also noted that technical support can occasionally be completely unresponsive and difficult to reach when facing complex hardware problems. A few individuals reported receiving damaged items or dealing with frustrating equipment failures shortly after setting up their machines.

BUYER BEWARE. We have spent over $15,000 with OMTech—a 40W laser, a 60W laser, TWO 80W lasers, and now a Spectra A3+ UV printer.
The Spectra arrived defective straight out of the box. The vacuum table/bed grinds horribly, the machine has never been properly operational, and getting competent technical support has been an absolute joke.
Apparently selling you the equipment is the priority. Supporting it once they have your money? Good luck.
After FOUR lasers and $15,000+ spent, OMTech has permanently lost our business. We will be returning the Spectra, buying our UV printer elsewhere, and every future laser purchase will be from another brand.
I used to recommend OMTech. Now I recommend buying from a company that actually stands behind the equipment it sells.
Zero customer service! Upon checking out, the auto complete form input my old address that I have no access to. Immediately realised my mistake and called the customer service number within 5 minutes of placing my order to explain the situation, I was promised that she would resolve the issue. Two hours later I receive an email that the order had been dispatched. So I call them again, speak to another person and they advise me that I need to speak to Evri as they cant now cancel the order, so I call Evri and they advise me that they have not in fact collected the order and that I need to speak to the retailer to have the address adjusted. Call back, placed on hold for ten mins, offered no solution other than a call back the next day, today is now the day and I've heard nothing at all other than an email from Evri saying they've now collected the order. I have no idea what's going to happen to my order! I don't know why OMTech bother answering the phone if they can't resolve simple issues!
OMTech, never again! I am very dissatisfied. The order for the DTF printer was handled very slowly, and the delivery date was postponed from March to August. I therefore canceled my order because I was experiencing significant loss of business due to missed orders.
Initially, I was offered a voucher, but this was followed by excuses and blame being shifted to Kickstarter. Later, my emails were no longer answered, and the money is still missing! This is not really a serious business.
If you’re having problems and they don’t want to give you your money back, contact your credit card provider and request a chargeback. That should help you move things forward. It worked for me.
Highly would not recommend. Costumer service is non existent. Bought a 60w just a year ago and the power supply/control panel quit. Can’t get any reply back or help with the situation at all
I had an electrical problem with a K40+. The hi-voltage power supply failed. Considering I am in the UK and the time difference with the customer service & tech dept, the service was amazing! As long as you call (on a provided UK number) at California time, they answer promptly. The replacement parts required arrived within a few days as they have many parts held ready here in UK.
Great service and very helpful.
If I could rate with zero stars I would. I ordered a polar light 55 W. No updates on website for weeks. I called for them, only for them to tell me it was back ordered and wouldn’t be in for another month. I spoke to someone who found a much larger machine the was “ready to ship”. I canceled the first machine and ordered the AF2028 90w. After a week of no update on the website and multiple phone calls and chats, someone was finally able to tell me that this unit was also back ordered (I ordered because it said ready to ship) and offered to cancel or have someone find another comparable unit “ready to ship”. Obviously their website and system is useless because they didn’t know that the 2nd unit I ordered was back ordered. And their website STILL lists it as ready to ship. I told them I was going to cancel my order again because I felt like getting this figured out wasn’t a priority, and said if they came back with a decent offer to show that my order meant something to them I would consider keeping it. $100 gift card was their answer. You can’t rely on them to send you an email or call you back when they say they will.
I backed the OMTech Aurora DTF printer on Kickstarter, which was advertised with a “Guaranteed shipping in March 2026” promise.
Months after the promised shipping date, I still have not received the product, and it is June 1! There is still no verifiable tracking information, no proof of shipment, and no refund.
I have contacted OMTech multiple times requesting either shipping confirmation or a refund. Instead, I was told that refunds must be handled through Kickstarter. Kickstarter Support has confirmed that creators are responsible for fulfilling rewards and handling refunds.
After I pointed this out, OMTech stopped responding to my messages.
At this point:
the product has not been delivered
no tracking information exists
no refund has been issued
communication has been completely cut off
From my experience, OMTech has repeatedly made delivery promises that were not fulfilled and is now refusing to resolve the situation or return the funds.
I strongly advise potential backers to carefully research this company, read the Kickstarter comments, and fully understand the risk before purchasing anything from them.
I have had my 80w CO2 2435AF for about three years. When I received the machine I made sure my mirrors were properly aligned and went to work. Awesome cutting and engraving power (18mm lense, 2 in focal length). I recently had to call for support after getting a rotary. My mistake… I reset the machine after connecting the rotary and when the laser head was returning to origin it collided with the rotary and damaged the laser head. Easy to order a replacement for a good price. Upon placing this order I found the reverse mirror alignment tool. This tool is awesome and a huge time saver! Thanks for the great tool and support OMTech!
Months of runaround on an $8,000 machine — support is a disgrace
I purchased an ~$8,000 CO2 laser that developed a Y-axis electrical fault. What followed was months of dealing with a support team that either cannot or will not properly diagnose their own machines.
Through systematic troubleshooting I was able to determine that the Y motor works when bypassed directly to the stepper driver, and that swapping the known-working X-axis relay to the Y-axis changed nothing. The relay is not the problem. I submitted all of this evidence to OMTech support in full.
Their response was to send me a replacement relay.
I spent over an hour and a half on hold only to be told by the tech that they did not know enough about my case to explain their own recommended solution. The call ended with a promise that someone would follow up by email — the same channel that had already gone nowhere for months.
The hardware is why these machines get recommended. But the moment something goes wrong you will find out that the support operation behind it is not equipped to stand behind what they sell. No logical diagnostic process, no accountability, and no urgency.
If you are a hobbyist who never needs support, maybe you'll be fine. If you are a business owner who depends on uptime, look elsewhere. The savings are not worth what you will lose when the machine goes down and you are left to fight for a resolution alone.
Absolute terrible product it's good when it works bit it got delivered broken and since then I've had nothing but issues and replaced parts I'm close to having my k40 for 9 months and had to get 4 different replacement parts as it keeps breaking i think they sent me a second hand machine
Our pronto 60 arrived 3 weeks ago and is yet to be fully operational. The auto focus sensors were bad and the air assist didn’t work correctly. So after 3 weeks of emails and promised call backs, the auto focus is corrected but the air assist is not. The really disappointing part is, if I could get a tech on the phone we could troubleshoot it extremely fast as I have already measured every voltage, cable, and hose on the machine. The irony is the machine looks to be well built and thought through but the tech support is so awful that I am completely annoyed with it.

Hello Bart,
Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the poor support experience and the delay in resolving the issues with your Pronto 60.
We're glad the auto-focus is now working. For the remaining air assist problem, we have identified that the solenoid valve in the air assist module needs to be replaced. We will prioritize shipping it to you immediately, and you will receive the tracking information shortly.
We are actively addressing the shortcomings in our technical support process to prevent such situations in the future. We appreciate your patience and hope to regain your trust.
Best regards,
OMTech Customer Support
Purchase on the 4th Feb, item was shipped out that day. Great! Advised if it cant be delivered by the 11th can it be held in the local depot until i could arrange what was needed. Was happy to collect etc. Someone in OMtech decided to mark it as return to sender. Okay no worries.. was delivered back to the OMtech wearhouse on the 14th Feb. Have been chasing this ever since. Excuse after excuse They cant confirm its back at the wearhouse, its CNY they cant do anything, finally someone calls and confirms infact it was delivered back to the wearhouse. Its now the 26th Feb. No reshipment as they are "reviewing notes" or refund! Avoid if possible. They will take $4000 and not give you anything

Hi Anna,
Please accept our sincerest apologies for the frustration and delays you’ve experienced. This is certainly not the level of service we strive to provide at OMTech.
To clarify the situation, a communication delay with the carrier regarding your specific delivery request led us to prematurely recall the unit to prevent it from being lost. Unfortunately, this coincided with the Lunar New Year holiday, which severely delayed our internal processing and the updates we provided to you. We realize that "reviewing notes" is a poor substitute for a machine you have already paid for.
We have taken action: A replacement unit was dispatched two days ago and is currently in transit with an ETA of March 3rd. We are monitoring this shipment daily to ensure it reaches you without further incident.
We value your patience and are committed to regaining your trust.
Best regards,
The OMTech Team
I emailed the company and was sent 2 quotes from Summer Rose Hensley, I picked one and asked for her number so I could call and place the order. No response for days so I called the company and was told she would call me right back. After waiting hours i called back and was again told she would call. Guess what, no call again. If the sales team is this unresponsive I'm starting to rethink my purchase plans b/c tech support might be even worse. Response to vendor, you can save the call, your sale ended yesterday so I purchased from another company.

Hello,
We sincerely apologize for the communication gap you experienced. This does not reflect our service standards.
This matter has been escalated to management. Our office is currently closed for the weekend, which caused the delay. However, Summer will call you first thing Monday morning to personally finalize your order and ensure your concerns are fully addressed.
We value your trust and are committed to proving that our support—both sales and tech—is there when you need it. Thank you for your patience while we make this right.
Best regards,

I am so excited for my Pronto 35 to arrive! I ordered the 90W to pair with my CNC machine and I like how big the workbed was while still being compact enough for my garage workshop. This is my first OMTech machine and I've been working with lasers for around 8years. Can't wait to see how it meets my expectations.
The machine arrived and was easy to set up, but the inline fan didn't work. Support eventually helped with a replacement, though response time could be faster.
In Janurary, i faced a computer connection issue with my Omtech laser. After several rounds of back and forth with their support team, they confirmed it was a warranty covered problem, thank God!
Omtech sent me a brand new Polar at no cost and even provided a shipping label to return the old one!
I own two OMTech lasers — a 60W and an 80W — and I absolutely love them. Both machines are reliable, powerful, and deliver consistent, professional results. The 60W is great for detailed engraving, while the 80W handles thicker materials and larger projects with ease. They’ve been a great value for the performance they offer and have become essential tools in my workshop. I’m already dreaming of adding a fiber laser to the mix next.
