Awful Experience

I have an 829 credit score, stable income, and long banking history — yet my experience with SoFi was the most exhausting and disorganized loan process I’ve ever dealt with. I gave SoFi full access to my bank accounts, including login verification, so they could see every deposit and withdrawal. I provided pay stubs, employment letters, and even had my husband’s café owner complete their verification form. They rejected the employer verification simply because it wasn’t from a “certified business email,” then called the owner and interviewed her — and still didn’t accept it. This dragged on for over a week. Every day, different SoFi reps called us asking the exact same questions, clearly not reading the notes on our file. No progress, no consistency, no communication. Just an endless loop of repetitive verification. Meanwhile, I walked into my local bank and was approved for a loan in under 24 hours with zero hassle and no invasive demands. After more than a week of frustration, I finally gave up and withdrew my application. SoFi’s process is not built for real people with real jobs. I will not use them again.

I have a personal loan thru Sofi and…

I have a personal loan thru Sofi and enrolled in auto pay. I liked Sofi so much I changed my banking over leaving Bank of America. I have tried and tried to change my auto pay to Sofi and it wont set itself to my Sofi account. I have to maually change it every month to pull money out of my Sofi or it defualts to my old bank. Autopay is a set it and forget feature not with Sofi.

Easy to complete application process, no lingering doubt of information gathering and a swift and quick response and access to funds. Their loan rates not only saved my credit score so I make all of my payments without default, but I can now put a little away each month. Thank you SOFI!

My experience with SoFi was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by how quick and easy the entire process was. I was approved, and the funds were deposited within just a few days. I especially love the dashboard. It’s easy to navigate, and the entire application process was smooth and straightforward. The only improvement I would suggest is providing a clearer verification of the bank account information. I wasn’t completely sure my account details had been entered correctly, so an additional confirmation would have given me more peace of mind. I also appreciated the interest rate, which I felt was fair. There were no hidden fees, and everything was explained clearly and transparently from start to finish. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my experience. I plan to work hard to pay off my loan early, and I appreciate that there is no prepayment penalty. I am SO glad I moved all of my money…

I am SO glad I moved all of my money over to SoFi ... it's very nice to have all of my finances in one place. ATM access is super convenient through Allpoint network which has 55K+ ATMs at CVS, Walgreens, Target, Costco and Speedway. I took out a two year loan with SoFi and today is actually my 1 year anniversary. The ease of knowing my status of past and future payments is very convenient. I highly recommend taking the plunge to SoFi, it was scary at first because I was a loyal Wells Fargo customer, but there are ZERO regrets.

When I needed help the most, they came through and truly made a difference. They helped put me on the right path to paying off my debt, with reasonable financing options and manageable repayment terms. It’s given me a clearer and more positive outlook on my financial future. I highly recommend them — 10 out of 10!

My experience was simple easy and great because I have a national chain main bank. It was so good I recommend to my husband and that was my biggest mistake. Everything went down hill from there. You approved him but refuse to pay the money. So he takes the credit hit and is screwed out of everything else.He has been trying for 3 weeks and his payment is coming due with no money being given. All because he has a smaller local bank. He has given the required paperwork but you are refusing it even though that is what you asked for is honestly sounding illegal. Then he explains it is all the smaller bank will give, but you wont work and act like its his problem when it is your. You are the scamming one.So you are very disrimitory and at this point I am questioning how legal you are. I really am wondering if I should go to my bank and refinance both loans ans get out before you turn on me too... after being so simple to become so hard to deal with is making me very worried. After recommending you and you treating that person so badly makes me never want to recommend you again. Honestly I am scared to be working with you and you having my information now.

Totally Impressed

Could not be happier. Decided to try SoFi after my credit union would only approve me for $1250.00. What a joke. I applied for a loan online with SoFi. Said I wanted to consolidate two high interest loans. I supplied SoFi with the required information, and was approved 24 hours later. With a lower interest rate than the credit union. What I'll say about the loan amount is.. 5-6-7-8-9-10% ? more than the credit union offered.
