Very aggressive with their marketing. I just want to track my runs, I don't want all the other fluff. They will spam you to no end. I would avoid if possible for other running apps.
This is a complete scam. I subscribed and paid my money, but they failed to provide the premium features I paid for. To make matters worse, their customer support completely ignores my emails and offers zero response. They are literally stealing money from their users. Do not waste a single penny on this app. Absolute scammers.
I connected the Strava subscription via Apple, but it didn't connect in the Strava app itself. The support just ignores me.
Update, I am still locked out of my strava account since beginning of May, since then I have had loads of emails from different customer service staff, who are doing an absolutely appalling job of helping each time they are getting my name wrong they are not understanding that I dont know the email I signed up with because I stayed logged in with my Facebook account which they decided to get rid of Facebook login they cant help they are useless what is it that you don't understand?
Sounds like I’m having similar issues to other users, with the Facebook login change meaning I’m now locked out of my account - which I contacted CS about 2 weeks ago. I’m also a paying customer and runner 3/4 days a week so being locked out for 2 weeks is quite impactful. There absolutely needs to be some extra CS investment here. You’ll lose a lot of paying customers who are currently locked out if this isn’t resolved soon. Cheers
Strava needs to invest in their customer service. I've been locked out of my account for weeks now with no support provided to get back in - I've tried so many avenues to get a response. I've used this app for several years and I'm a paid premium member and so frustrated. Do they even care about paying customers?
Have been locked out of my account due to a problem with their server for a while now. Logged a ticket with their technical support multiple times but nothing has been done. Just get a default response each time maintaining they are dealing with an unusually high volume of issues...sure - it's been weeks. FAQs etc offer nothing of value either Terrible customer support all round.
It feels like all Strava want is cash. They need to remember that the competitiveness and motivation which PUBLIC leaderboards produce and give each user are critical to using the the app. Instead they implement yet another paywall.
I signed up for 10 minutes, being quoted a price with a free trial. I hated the ap, and canceled immediately. I was charged almost 3x what I was quoted, and never got the free trial. The ap is terrible and they will charge you whatever they feel like. Lukily my credit card removed the fee. Be careful.
Their logo represents something evil with the arrow up and arrow down (IYKYK). Their logs and maps are quite complete but heatmaps destroy privacy and since some sports are quite demonised in some places I cannot be a fan. Worst part, you cannot send DM's on the browser. I HATE typing on a phone.
Unable to login after a recent app update that stopped allowing the use of Facebook login, I loved the app but after is issue and help support not helping me transition my Facebook login to a different emailI decided it was time to give up the subscription
It keeps crashing, I'd give this shit no stars if I could. I miss Endomondo, that actually worked!
Absolutely ridiculous the support do nothing after weeks of waiting. Pass you off and don't accept responsibility .
I had trouble logging into my Strava account after Facebook login stopped working, and I didn’t have enough information to recover it myself. It took a while to get real support, but once I connected with an agent (after about 8 days), everything moved quickly. The instructions were clear and step-by-step, and the recovery link solved my issue within 10 minutes. In short: you need a bit of patience, but the support itself was excellent.
False advertising- said I wouldn’t get charged for a free month. Instead I was charged the full year £54.00 and then refused a refund. So angry and disappointed with this. Will not be continuing to use this app.
just based on new update doesnt keep the app open on screen when in use on my samsung watch anymore! why would you stop this? Please fix
Really frustrating trying to feed back about issues when AI wants several levels of explanation before you can get to a person, and keeps evading direct requests for an actual person. For about the past two years Strava loses signal halfway round many of my activities - hillwalking, cycling, paddleboarding, walking - doesn't seem to matter whether I'm up a hill or in a city. Now looking for other options to track activities and log routes - certainly other options that do NOT use AI for 'chatting' and cannot seem to solve even the most basic request. Human contact should not be gatekept by a programme that clearly doesn't understand the advantage of human intelligence.
I’ve been using Strava for a while now and honestly really like it. The functionality is great, everything feels smooth, and I like how they keep adding new sports and activities pretty fast (they even added padel not that long ago). The only sad thing is Ukrainian localization. It’s not a big deal for me personally, but a few of my friends struggled with it and didn’t stick with the app because of that.
I’m really disappointed with my experience with Strava. I was charged for a subscription I never knowingly signed up for, tied to an account I don’t even use—and there’s zero activity on it. I reached out to support to explain the situation, expecting at least a proper review, but instead my concern was brushed off without real investigation.
