What reviewers say

AI generated

Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers deeply appreciate how simple it is to manage the service, customize account settings, and securely keep track of daily expenses for family members. Many individuals note that the customer support team is exceptionally responsive, professional, and always available to assist people with any questions. Some reviewers were not happy with the lengthy transfer times and the considerable delays experienced in making funds available on the card. A few other people also felt that strict spending limits, frequently blocked transactions, and rigid controls caused unnecessary frustration during routine use.

Can cancel the card without notice

On the whole not a bad experience, although I think the fees of $12 a month are high. However, TrueLink cancelled the card of my relative (a vulnerable adult) without providing notice. The cardholder agreement allows for this, which makes this legal. Having said that, this approach is out of line with TrueLink's claim to serve the financially vulnerable. I would think that a courtesy notice warning that an account is about to be closed is in order. I now have a vulnerable disabled adult without access to the card and therefore without access to funds should she have an emergency. It took quite a few tries to get Customer Service to respond as well, which was not encouraging. Do better.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with our team. We are sorry for any inconvenience or hardship the account closure may have caused you and the Cardholder. True Link cards are automatically closed after carrying a negative balance for 120 days, which often occurs when the monthly fee continues to be charged on a card that is not in use. We can certainly appreciate how advanced notice prior to account closure would be beneficial, and we are reviewing our current notification process. We are also sorry to hear that you had difficulty reaching our Support Team. Please know that our Support Team is available 365 days a year, responding to phone calls, emails, and live chats Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PT, and responding to urgent emails and voicemails over the weekend. Our Chat feature is available 24/7, and we are exploring improvements to make it even easier to leave a message for our Support Team outside of our business hours. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to [email protected] if we can be of any additional assistance with your account.

True link are just another generation…

True link are just another generation of scammer. I am a card administrator the card was close a day to Ronald mri scan and they refused to make a refund of the remaining balance in the amount of 1205.63. I tried calling I was blocked same goes to the email. I won't recommend their services to anyone.

We take every account review seriously. We're not able to discuss individual accounts in a public forum — but we can share that our account decisions follow our Cardholder Agreement and the banking, card network, and regulatory requirements that apply.

Great tool for fiduciaries!

As a fiduciary, I have used the True Link debit card effectively with a variety of clients, including those with mental health struggles, at risk adults, and other adults that wish to create better spending and savings habits. I have used this product for at least 10 years and have always received excellent customer support from the administrator's perspective and clients have had positive experiences as well.

We got this card to pay the bills for…

We got this card to pay the bills for my Dad with Dementia. The customer service is well worth it- from onboarding (which was super simple) to chat and email. The only thing I would warn others of, is be prepared for new account transfers from an outside bank is held for an extended amount of time, so plan accordingly. I was able to contact them and answered a few simple questions, send in a bank statement and they lifted the extended hold.
