If you are a gym run

If you are a gym, avoid a partnership with Wellhub. We have not been paid since November. An agent promised a payment today, but instead, we are in a constant loop with Wellhub requesting a W-9, despite agents confirming they have already received it. You can only chat with support, and they are not helpful at all.

Reply from Wellhub2026-06-25

Hi Jon, thanks for bringing this to our attention, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration and delay you’ve experienced regarding your payments. We deeply value our gym partners, and we know how critical timely payouts and clear communication are to running your business. Our team is currently working on your request and will find the best solution for you. Please don’t hesitate to contact them via email if you have any additional questions.

Biggest scam of an app

Biggest scam of an app. Do not join. Not only do they charge you a $25 fee for not “checking in” to a class (note: not for skipping it, just for failing to tap a button), they’ll charge you even if you actually attended. That $25 is roughly 25% of the monthly membership fee. I recently tried to put my account on hold because I had surgery. The app confirmed the hold was active. When I reached out to support, they told me they had no record of it. And even though they could see that I check into gyms almost every day, and that I had zero check-ins during the exact period I requested the hold, they still declined my refund. If you want to be quietly cheated out of your money every month, join this app. The only reason I’m still on it is that my employer forces me to use it. Important to note that although the app claims that my account was still active during the period (which is due to their app not working and processing my request) they can see that not one class was attended during my recovery, which tells them that it was inactive. Don't waste time or money with this app.

Hello Paul, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We want to send you our very best wishes as you recover and hope everything goes smoothly for you. We completely understand your frustration regarding your recent billing. Our teams thoroughly investigated the timeline on our end; however, because the system showed the plan remained active during that time, we are unable to adjust or reverse the charges. We truly want to ensure your experience is as seamless as possible moving forward. If you'd like, we can walk you through the step-by-step process on how to easily pause your plan for any future needs. Please keep in mind that pauses can be requested once every 6 months, and our system always sends out a confirmation email the moment a pause is successfully processed. We've sent an email to your inbox so we can look into this directly for you. Please feel free to reply back to that message at your earliest convenience!

I have been a Wellhub user for some…

I have been a Wellhub user for some time and was disappointed to discover that the company has removed the option for adult family members to pay for their own subscriptions. Previously, family members could manage their own payments. Wellhub has now moved to a system where the primary account holder is responsible for all family member subscription charges. The family members on my account are independent adults, and I do not wish to be financially responsible for other people’s memberships. My main concern is that I do not recall receiving any notification that my account would be migrated to this new payment structure. When I contacted customer support, I was informed that individual payment methods are no longer available and that no exceptions can be made. While Wellhub states that this change simplifies billing and improves security, it removes financial independence for adult family members and places all responsibility on the primary account holder. I would encourage Wellhub to reconsider this policy or, at the very least, provide customers with clear notice before making such significant changes to how family memberships are managed and paid for.

Reply from Wellhub2026-06-22

Hi Lucy, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We truly understand your perspective regarding financial independence for adult family members, and we will certainly pass your comments along to our product and policy teams. Regarding your concern about notifications, we would like to clarify that this unified billing change is communicated directly within the app at key moments, specifically when adding a new family member or when a plan modification is made. Before finalizing any purchase, the system indicates that all family member subscriptions will be grouped under the primary account holder's billing and that only a single payment method can be used for the entire account. We have a detailed article in our Help Center that explains this process further: How to manage payments for family members. Should you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to us through our Help Center or via our official social media channels on Instagram @wellhub or X @wellhubhelp. We are always here to help :)

TOTAL SCAM

TOTAL SCAM! read the reviews before you sign up for this fraudalent membership. any "good reviews" ARE FAKE because the "reviewer" only has 1 review-check it yourself. what a scammy company-the bad reviews are the real ones. they purposely try to scam you out of money and bait and switch. They offer low prices at first and then up the prices ridiculously after 1-2 months so you will lose money. I signed up at 240 a month and left my grandfathered lifetime rate at 250 a month because they offered me 240 a month and said that they will not raise rates for 12 months. after 1 MONTH they upped the fees to 290 a month now i am paying 40 dollars more than if I had kept my grandfathered rate without wellhub. I can't go back because wellhub makes you "give up" your actual gym membership. They know that you cant just go back to old rates at your gym and do this on purpose! this company is a TOTAL SCAM. I wish I had read these terrible recent reviews before joining. I have reached out to customer service with no resolution. I will update if they decide to address this issue and make promise of the original rate they had me join on.

Says I didn't attend a class but I did, also no customer service reply

I have been trying to get in touch but have not received a reply. Firstly, I asked for a pause on my membership last year whilst abroad which did not happen and I was charged. I could not log in from abroad. Secondly, I have recently been attending F45 in Brighton. Every time I book in to a class, it then asks me to check in. However, when I click on this, I get an error message. It turns out I have been automatically signed in each time I book a class. However, this did not happen on Tuesday 9 June despite me clicking on it. I now have a block as it says I 'missed a class' (I didn't) and I have to pay £14 (?!) to unblock it. This is grossly unfair as it was not what happened at all.

I’ve been using Wellhub since it was…

I’ve been using Wellhub since it was Gympass, and unfortunately the value has declined significantly. The main issue is pricing. For example, Fitness First Milton Keynes used to be included in a Bronze package at around £35 per month. It’s now classified as a Silver gym costing over £50 per month, despite being the same gym with the same facilities. The savings compared to joining directly are now minimal, and I can find better deals through my employer’s benefits platform. There have also been multiple price increases over recent months while some partner benefits have been reduced, including access to certain classes and facilities at some gyms. As an employee benefit, Wellhub no longer feels as competitive as it once was. The flexibility and value that originally made Gympass attractive seem to have been lost. I would like to see Wellhub review its pricing structure and focus on restoring the value that made the service stand out in the first place.

Reply from Wellhub2026-06-12

Hi Abby, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed and constructive feedback. We'd like to clarify that gym categorizations and plan prices are occasionally adjusted to maintain our extensive partner network. The main difference with Wellhub is that you aren't just paying for access to a single gym. Instead, you get the freedom to train at any of the fitness centers included in your plan, along with free access to all of our premium partner apps for workouts and well-being. We take your comments about the pricing structure and facility access very seriously. Your feedback has been shared directly with our internal teams as they continuously review our plans and partner relationships to find the right balance of flexibility and value. We'd love the opportunity to show you all the possibilities available on your tier, including the gyms and apps covered by your plan. Please feel free to contact us via our Help Center at https://helpcenter.gympass.com/en-gb/contact or through our social media channels: Instagram @wellhub and X @wellhubhelp.

They ignore you when you try to contact…

They ignore you when you try to contact them. The ‘email’ address is clearly not monitored. Filling in the online form is fruitless. I’ve moved companies but they won’t let me cancel my old membership for 7 months although I have a new membership with my new company. Effectively scamming money from me. I’d like to talk to them but they ignore all forms of comms.

Reply from Wellhub2026-06-11

Hello Dominic, we’re sorry to hear about your experience! We noticed that you reached out through our Help Centre but didn’t respond to the bot’s message, which is necessary to connect you with one of our agents, as mentioned in the email. We’ve also reviewed your account and can confirm that you are not being charged, as your status changed to Former Employee before the billing date. Because of this, your annual subscription has already been canceled since you no longer have access through the employee who offered it to you. You will soon be able to link your account to your new employer and continue enjoying the best support for your wellbeing! If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us through our Help Centre. You can also reach out via direct message on Instagram (@wellhub) or X/Twitter (@wellhubhelp), and we will be happy to assist you.

Good premise, poor execution

I like: - Being able to see all the participating gyms on the map - Being able to book from one system rather than using the participating company's app I don't like: - Membership fees aren't declared upfront - Bronze was listed as £30/month, then when I made an account it went up to £36/month, then when I checked that was for annual pass, it's £40/month for cancel any time. This is illegal under subscription laws - How unconnected everything is. I'll check in for a class with the company, and it doesn't update - I have to manually also check in on my phone. In the world of connected systems this seems extremely unnecessary, and if I miss one of the two steps I get blocked from my account. Some gyms also don't know how to checkin from their end, so I'll get an email saying I didn't attend an account when I checked in on the app - so if you get the data enough to send me that email, why can't you just check me in?? - Getting hold of someone that'll help you is difficult, you have to repeatedly ask for a real person. The AI chatbot doesn't resolve anything. - Gyms can change their participation midmonth with no warning. If you buy the pass just for that gym you're screwed

Reply from Wellhub2026-06-05

Hi there, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us! We are really glad to hear that you find our app convenient and useful, especially for booking. We'd love to clarify how Wellhub works and address your concerns: Wellhub is a corporate benefit, which means the final cost of each plan depends entirely on the specific agreement and subsidy provided by your company. The prices shown on our public website are general examples; once you create an account linked to your company, you will see your actual corporate rates. Depending on your corporate contract, you may also have the option to choose between a monthly flexible plan or a 12-month commitment plan. We understand that checking in on your phone can feel like an extra step, but making a check-in via the Wellhub app is mandatory. It is currently the only way to officially validate your presence and ensure the partner gym gets reimbursed for your visit. Good to know: If a gym forgets or fails to validate your visit on their end by mistake, as long as you successfully checked in on your Wellhub app, your attendance is registered and you will not receive any penalization. It is important to note that Wellhub is not a membership for a single gym, but an invitation to explore a whole wellness network, which includes thousands of partner gyms, premium digital apps, and virtual classes. Because our network is dynamic and flexible, gyms can occasionally change their included plan tiers or participation. This is why we always recommend exploring the network's variety rather than relying on just one specific facility. If you have any further doubts, need help with a missed check-in, or want us to look into your plan's specific pricing, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team directly through our official Help Center or via our social channels: Instagram @wellhub and X @wellhubhelp. We are always happy to help! Wishing you a wonderful day and many great workouts! 👟

Personal subscription activated on my behalf without my consent

Update: my issue has been resolved, but I am keeping the rating as I think the described practice isn't fair and needs to be changed. They operate as a corporate benefit ONLY but after I left my employer they started charging me as an individual (previously I had been forced to attach a card when activating the account with my company email). I completely forgot I even had a Wellhub account until I noticed an unexpected charge from Gympass appearing on my card a month after leaving my employer. When I originally signed up through my company's benefits programme, the subscription itself was covered by my employer, but Wellhub still required me to add my payment card during activation. At no point did I realise that I could later be charged after leaving the company, and I never received any reminder to cancel the subscription when my employment ended. Trying to resolve this has been incredibly frustrating. There appears to be no straightforward way to cancel. The website repeatedly redirects you to an AI chatbot that requires you to log in, but if you've lost access to your old corporate email address, that's impossible. I even tried downloading the app again, only to discover that Wellhub now operates exclusively through employer-linked access, meaning I couldn't even create an account with a personal email address to contact support. So you're told that you must cancel the subscription yourself, but if you've left the company and no longer have access to your corporate credentials, there seems to be no practical way to do so. Looking through reviews, I can see I'm not the only person who has experienced it. When you leave your job there is a lot to take care of. Keeping in mind one of your benefits will remain with you at your own cost even though you never agreed to it is NOT one of them. Extremely disappointing experience.

Reply from Wellhub2026-06-05

Hi there, Veronika! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us. We completely understand how transitioning your plan after leaving an employer can be confusing, and we're happy to clear up how it works. While Wellhub is exclusively a corporate benefit, we gladly extend the option for former employees to keep their membership because we know how vital a consistent wellness routine is. When you transition to a former employee account, the subsidies previously covered by your employer no longer apply, which is why a personal payment method is required to cover the standard plan price. Of course, we know this option isn't for everyone, and members are always free to cancel at any time. We completely respect your decision not to continue and have successfully processed the cancellation of your account, so you can rest assured that you will not receive any further charges. Regarding your feedback about our support availability, our team is here to help through our Help Center and social media channels (Instagram: @wellhub or Twitter/X: @wellhubhelp) Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (excluding bank holidays). We have also reached out to you directly for a few more details so we can look closer at your specific case. We truly appreciate the time you spent with us. If you feel your concerns have been well addressed and resolved today, we would be incredibly grateful if you considered updating your review. Wishing you all the best moving forward!
