What people say

could have been better wrapped for shipping

I ordered a replacement stylus for my turntable. Cost was $160. It arrived quickly and undamaged, but I feel it should have been more securely wrapped. The manufacturer's packaging is a plastic case inside a small lightweight cardboard box 1.5" square. This was placed in a bubble wrap envelope with no other protection. It could have easily been destroyed/crushed. While it wasn't, I would have expected better protection for a delicate item in lightweight original packaging.

Trying to Decide...

I was trying to decide on which speakers I needed to buy. So I used the chat feature on their website. Not only did a live person come on right away, there were no awkward pauses...it's almost like we were texting real time. Ira was prompt, professional and honest...and I appreciated it even though I did not end up purchasing from them.

Best home audio advice and sales support

I shop on-line and purchase from World Wide Stereo long distance. After buying 2 Cambridge Audio components last year I again engaged Ira Segall for his expert advice and assistance in buying a new turntable to replace a 45 year old Thorens. Ira, knowing my overall situation, recommended a Pro-Ject Debut Evo 2 Turntable. Because of the price I had not considered one prior. After a quick review I knew spending a bit more would be worth it. This turntable, handmade in the Czech Republic, has the look and feel of high end audio equipment. I chose Satin Red which is beautiful and classy. We had to level the turntable on our rack slightly using the damped adjustable feet which made this very easy and precise. Setting the tonearm counterweight and anti-skating weight proved easy. All the connections are very secure. It is a manual turntable, with no gimmicks, just like I wanted. We tested our new system with a very clean vintage Deutsche Grammophon recording of Mozart chamber music and were blown away by the full clean sound. We could really hear the distinct sounds of the various instruments. I look forward to moving on to the blues, classical, country, jazz, and rock in our entire collection expecting to hear some sound that I never have before. Great advice and a great product, as before.
