Reviewers had a great experience with this company. Customers praise the staff for being incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful when guiding families through the stressful and emotional process of finding proper senior care. Consumers deeply appreciate how quickly advisors set up facility tours and provide useful, well-curated lists of local options tailored to their specific needs.
However, some people mentioned receiving relentless phone calls, text messages, and emails that unfortunately continued even after explicitly asking staff to stop communication. A few other people also felt frustrated because certain advisors failed to provide requested information or follow up properly during critical crisis situations.

The staff are friendly and they provide a referral service but live out of state where these facilities are. They haven't visited them and they don't have 1st hand knowledge of the living experiences people have had.
A Place for Mom was instrumental in helping us find the right place for our mom. They provided lists of places to visit and refined the list as we had tours of the various facilities. They were also very patient as our mom changed her mind and we went through several iterations of what we were looking for. I recommend them to help you facilitate this transition for your loved one.
Capital Place delivers what was promised. Our 2 BR apartment is about 1000 sq ft, with 2 bathrooms (one walk-in shower & 1 tub). The staff & residents are friendly and welcoming. Food is plentiful & varied if bland. Meals have a featured item but one can choose from an "anytime" menu if one doesn't want the featured item. There is a bus for local transportation if one doesn't drive. Housekeeping services clean once a week.
A Place for Mom has assisted in finding assisted living arrangements for my parents twice. Both times they were helpful for narrowing down choices suited to their needs. They offered compassionate and attentive help and guidance when we didn’t know where to begin.
Be extremely careful whether you are a business or a customer. On the business side, I have heard terrible things from customers, they recommend us lead that are not qualified at all for our residence non-stop. Families always tell me they are being spammed by them. Had an incident where we had someone in our system and in the process of moving in, they mistakenly looked at APFM just to see last minute options and were harassed despite asking them to stop. APFM then tried to take credit for this move from us despite doing nothing and asked for money. Completely predatory. There is zero point using this service, just commit one hour to research and call services directly and you will accomplish the same results.
This was a great resource for navigating the process of finding a place for my parents. There are so many questions that come up along the way, and the staff is very knowledgeable, available, and supportive.
the day I took my tour. The day I found my new home!
From the day I took my tour, I knew it was going to be the place for me. Everyone at Concord Place was friendly, courteous and helpful. There are numerous activities to do and the 3 meals a day was finishing thing for me!
It was such an easy process. My dad loved the first place they referred. It was such a time saver. The vetting is already done and that made the process so smooth. He toured on a Tuesday and moved in the following Wednesday.
Working with A Place For Mom has been amazing! My sister and I had absolutely no clue where to start our search for care for our aging mom, but the reps from A Place For Mom gave us so much great information that has helped us with our search and with our decision-making process. They listened to what our needs were and narrowed the recommendations down to the facilities that best fit those criteria. In fact, the very first place that they recommended - Spring Mills in Phoenixville, Pa.- is the community that we chose for our mom. I couldn't even imagine trying to amass all of the information that they provided to us on my own. Despite the extreme stress that goes along with finding the appropriate help for an aging parent, they helped alleviate our fears and made the process organized and interesting. I truly do not know how we would have managed otherwise. I whole-heartedly recommend A Place For Mom for anyone looking for an assisted living facility for a loved one.
The first place they suggested was the perfect one. Their follow up with excellent too. They called to see if I needed any extra assistance. Joe was quite charming and delightful to talk to. I highly recommend this place.
I did a search on a specific retirement place and somehow got directed to a Place for Mom. They have shared my personal information with half the world without my permission. My phone has not stopped ringing. I did a search and requested information at around 7pm and by 7am I was getting non-stop calls!!They may be a great service but they seem like a scam to me.
We had a horrible experience with the retirement home They referred us to gardens at escondido. We had to take mom to urgent care and file a complaint with adult protective services at hospital.
The most aggressive marketing ever, relentless phone calls that never stopped even while I changed the privacy settings, removed my phone number blocked the number, it continued for a few days, several times a day. They could not take the hint. It made me so angry, there is no way I would ever use this service.
I was looking for a small assisted living situation for my sister, who isn't able to live in her house anymore. A Place for Mom helped me find the perfect fit and everyone there that I spoke to was helpful and kind. I appreciate the great customer service and timely responses to my inquiries.
Repeated contacts by different "advisors" after I have asked at least four of them to close my account. It's not approaching harassment. My contact info was passed to businesses without my knowledge or consent.
I didn’t know where to start, what to look for, what my dad’s options were, or even what questions to ask. A Place for Mom walked me through the process during this difficult time and helped me what to look for and what to ask. The emails arrived and ironically were filled with things I was going through and were so helpful. They connected me with a home care person and Patriot Angels. A tour was even set up to visit a nursing home and after they helped me choose 4 homes to look at the homes contacted me. It took away so much stress so I could concentrate on my dad’s health. They gave me hope that I could navigate this next step with my dad’s health. I am recommending A Place for Mom to all of my friends. It is a free, valuable , caring organization that will help you when you most need it. I would be lost without their help. We did place my dad in one of the nursing homes that best fit his needs and ours. I am happy with our choice and I will forever be grateful to A Place for Mom for walking me through everything!
Jonathan was very helpful. Constantly checking to see how things were going. Made reservations for me.
Wouldn’t have been able to get all this done without the help.
Keri was very helpful in finding my father an assisted living facility quickly and competently. She was a warm and soothing individual during a very stressful situation, and knowing that I could call her at any point during the process to ask her questions made everything run so much more smoothly than I expected it to. Thank you so much for all your help!
