Due to a power outage, my HDD got partially chunked. That damage locked my entire Steam directory and with it two thirds of my hard drive. Sells false promises. Before paying we reviewed the files and it said the chances of recovery were high. However, after paying it didn’t recover anything. Don’t waste your money on this, probably malware too.

The APFS partition corrupted leaving data on the external SSD with no way to access it. "Checking the space manager. error: spaceman cib out of order: 47, expected 69 Space manger is invalid" After doing my research, YouTube, Tech Radar etc, I found CleverFiles and Disk Drill. I also found the Disk Drill on the Mac App Store. I downloaded the file and scanned the disk. It found everything. I was able to recover 1.5TB in 3 hours.
A 2 TB external Mac drive broke and I thought it couldn't be salvaged. I demoed several disk recovery apps but the only one that worked the best, salvaged the most files, allowed quicklook for validation, and had very strong search and filtering options was Disk Drill 6.1 I cannot thank them enough. I hope I don't experience a drive crash anytime soon, but if I do I'm sure I'll get my data back.

I store loads of data on external hard drives connected to my Mac computer. Three weeks ago I open one of the hard drives and it appeared totally blanc and hundreds of files were missing, many were photographs, Videos of bands I've played in and a whole host of important documents. Found via google search when I had a corrupted video on BeastCam which would not even open. I uploaded it. They sent a fixed file in 10 mins which was better but jumpy. I asked them if they could improve it and they did overnight for the same fee. They were a lifesaver. Happy to recommend.

There are some negative reviews online that almost put me off buying this. I tried Windows File recovery and just could not get the syntax to work. So I purchased DiskDrill from Cleverfiles and it worked just fine. I had been using VVPro to backup files and when the disk letters changed unnoticed I accidentally overwrote good files with old one, and lost a week's unrecoverable work. Diskdrill got it all back, albeit after quite a few hours. I'm a little puzzled about one thing. Without being asked it also recovered deleted files from my system disk, and actually that gave me a pleasant surprise too - a file I thought was gone forever. In this one day's exercise it has paid for itself twice over.
Highly recommend Disk Drill. Saved 150GB of corrupted files including the priceless Christmas card address excel file.
Hi, Just wanted to say that Disk Drill v6 did a great job recovering data from a Sony A7 IV memory card using the Advanced Camera Scan mode about two weeks ago. Filtering the results by date was also much faster than with UFS Explorer.
