They're a really shit company with second rate products, oh and they think they can copyright the word Alpine which it connected to a range of mountains in Europe. What total "DICKS". Alpine goats, Alpine region, Alpine flowers, Alpine people, Alpine trains
I Pre-ordered 2026 panini FIFA cards over two months ago. never shipped.
I called to find my order status and DSG's decided I had called to cancel my order - I didn't.
The customer service rep said they would be delivered "this week". When asked for a tracking number, he didn't have one.
When I called to finally cancel my order out of frustration, they refunded me the incorrect amount.
DSG - GET IT TOGETHER. You've lost a customer because of this. The panini cards are available everywhere except at DSG...
On 04/24, I purchased a STEPR from DSG (hereinafter, the seller) online, including delivery (up to 1 flight of steps) & assembly. The first delivery attempt was on 05/15; the window was 11am to 3pm. The delivery crew arrived about 2 hrs 45 minutes past 3:00pm. While waiting, I called the delivery company to find out where they were; I was told that they couldn't look that up. The delivery crew finally called to tell me they were on their way. I told them we had to pick my niece up from the airport. We couldn't wait for delivery & assembly to be completed. The crew insisted on coming into our home to complete delivery. Their insistence was so intense that I felt uncomfortable. I finally told them to reschedule & I went inside. I requested another delivery date ASAP.
I contacted the seller (system won’t allow me to write company name due to inappropriate name?!) about the issue but the seller had no sense of urgency. Our delivery was rescheduled to 06/09. I received a phone call from delivery company Select Express stating delivery would be late "due to a flat tire." The window was now 4pm to 7pm. Previously, I requested a different crew but it was ignored. My husband watched from the front door as the crew struggled to move the item onto a dolly; he watched as it fell off the dolly onto our driveway. It was placed back on the dolly. We do not think it was damaged. Next, they attempted to bring the item onto our front porch to go up 3 steps. My husband met them at the door & they told him they'd need to use the dolly to take the item upstairs on the hardwood stairs in our new build home. We asked why they didn't have straps or other equipment (like other delivery companies) to prevent damage to our floors. We were told if anything was damaged we could file a claim. One of the crew said he was physically unable to carry anything because he has a bad hip and he could use the dolly if he took breaks!! The other crew member was of small stature and he acknowledged this fact when I told him that. He would've been of limited help to the man who has a bad hip. We called our neighbor to come to give his opinion & to be a witness. With no prompting from us, our neighbor independently said he would not allow anyone with a wet, dirty dolly to move the heavy item over his hardwood steps. We didn't want the hassle of very likely having to file a claim for damages. It was clear they could not properly move the item upstairs. It was too heavy for them. Period. It was pouring rain that day. The item was left on our front porch & again we requested an appropriate crew to make delivery. The smaller man said he'd file a report but could make no promises! We had to find tarp to cover the item.
We contacted the seller again. Again, the seller said they had no control over the delivery. My husband told them that we purchased the item from them so we were looking to them to make it right. We've never asked for any money back, any discount. We only want what I paid for almost 2 months ago to be safely & properly delivered. The seller has done absolutely NOTHING to help us. The last customer service person employed by the seller said he was at home in Chicago & couldn't do anything about it but would email someone!!
Most recently, we received a call from a female at AIT (one of the delivery companies used by the seller). She began the conversation by saying "I understand you refused delivery." I was furious. My furious husband took over the call as I was by now in tears. AIT's representative told us this was their best crew. We told her that the item couldn't stay on our porch for 2 weeks. As the item will sit on our front porch for another 10 days.
Today, I received notice that delivery could be made on 06/19 10am to 1pm. We were forced to make a concession to have the delivery completed & assembled in our garage. This is not what we wanted. However, since none of these companies (especially the seller) cares about us as customers, we've been forced into making the change for them.
I paid over $4,000 for the equipment to include delivery up 1 flight of stairs & assembly. I can tell you that it wasn't worth it. By the next offered delivery date, it will be 57 days since I made the purchase. Don't make the same mistake I made.
If you choose to purchase any large ticket item (or probably even socks), please prepare yourself for massive, widespread indifference from DSG and any vendor.
Went to d***'s today to buy softball.Gear for my kid, it cost me 15 dollars to get there in gas to pay the highest prices.I've seen yet only to end up being overcharged by ten dollars. And asked to drive down there again.Spend another 15 dollors in gas , to get my ten dollars, that they overcharged me back, obviously I'd be pretty stupid to spend $30 in gas to be ripped off by this franchise. So instead I'm publicly announcing to if you choose to shop there do not pay until you've checked every price
The glove that i'm disputing has a price tag of seventy nine ninety nine and it charged me eighty nine ninety nine. Have all the proper documentation, but can't figure out how to upload the photo proof.
Worst experience with gym equipment delivery and installation. Lets equipment outside a day before the installation date, then never showed to install on two scheduled time over the next 2 days. Waisted 2days and all dicks cared about was having me tell them what happened as the escalated to more less than competent service rep. No apologies, nothing - just my wasted time. If anyone needs sporting goes - go anywhere else- there name says it all on who they are.
Worst experience ever. Spent over an hour with their help, just useless.
Plus, they entice you with discounts, then you cannot apply the discount to any decent products.
This company is a sham.
Had a great shopping experience at the location in Brick, NJ. Shout out to Nicholas for his suggestions, knowledge and patience in helping me find sneakers for my new walking program. I was greeted by a friendly associate, cashier (Nancy), couldn’t have been nicer and I happily left with a new pair of Brooks!!
Purchased a pair of expensive Hokas at Columbia Crissing. Wore them three times and the glue on the tread was defective and totally fell off. Even though they track my purchases and I’m a rewards member (which is a joke as I’ve never gotten a reward) they refused to exchange the clearly brand new shoes that ckearly had a manufacturers defect and told me to contact the manufacturer. Didn’t want money back, just a decent pair non defect pair of $130 shoes. They dint stand by what they sell. Thats just bad customer service!!! You are better off buying online directly. Buyer beware.
Watch out when you purchase used golf clubs. I purchased a used golf club at the Schaumburg Illinois store on May 11th. Thought it might be a good deal since they gave an additional 25% off used clubs. The club had a red price sticker for $199.99 plus I got an additional 25% off. I got home and was going to take the stickers off and under the sales sticker there was another sticker for $164.99. Dicks change the price from $164.99 to $199.99 and they gave the discount at $199.99. Watch out for the scam and dirty business tactics. I returned the club.
The shipping estimate when the order was placed was from 3 to 5 days. The actual time to deliver is now 10 days. That's a bait and switch. All I received from customer service when I asked why the delay was that it technically wasn't late. That's terrible customer service, if you say it will be delivered within 2 to 5 days and it turns out to be 10 days, there is nothing "technical" about it, I was given wrong information from the start in an effort to hook me in to the purchase. I will never do business with Dicks Sporting Goods again.
Came in looking for running shoes, had no idea what I needed. The guy in the footwear section put me on a treadmill for two minutes to watch how I run, then brought out four pairs based on my gait. Nobody does that anymore.
Left with a pair of Brooks Ghost 16, exactly in my budget. He could've pushed me toward something pricier but didn't. Feet have felt great on every run since, zero issues after about 200 miles. Went back last month for a gym bag and some resistance bands different store, same experience. Staff actually know the products they're selling. Rare enough these days that it's worth mentioning.
Very easy-to-navigate ordering on their website and lightning fast shipping make for a great experience. I've ordered several times and find them very consistent!
I returned one clothing item that was too big to the actual store, and the return process was quick and painless.
The Calia line of women's clothing is a new favorite of mine because it offers excellent quality and great style. Their considerable online selection of Brooks running shoes makes shopping fun and easy to find something I like. I highly recommend!
Paid for shoes online, confirmed, went to store... no shoes. Tried selling me a substitute. Refused to get me the pair I wanted. Bizarre. Don't trust these people. I bought my shoes elsewhere.
Jon went above and beyond for my son and made it happen found the track shoes and size for my son, he so rock and then there was Shaun who was awesome and kind appreciate you also Connor you all rock so it need to be in the universe when my son happy because of others kindness it’s always a win 🏅 THANKS FELLOWS EXTRA SPECIAL THANKS TO JON NICE YOUNG MAN🤏🏽✅
I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with the store d I c k Sporting Goods.
I ordered a fishing rod that arrived broken due to what can only be described as very poor packaging. The rod was placed in an oversized box (approximately 8 feet long) with minimal packing material and no proper structural protection. There was nothing preventing it from shifting or bending during transit.
For a $200 item especially something as fragile as a fishing rod I expected significantly more care. Industry standard is to use a rigid tube or reinforced packaging to prevent damage. This was not done.
What’s even more frustrating is that when I contacted the store, I was told I would not be able to return it. That is completely unacceptable. The damage was clearly the result of inadequate packaging, not customer misuse.
I am requesting a proper resolution either a replacement or a full refund. Additionally, I strongly urge you to review your packaging practices to prevent this from happening to other customers. A rigid tube and appropriately sized box should be standard for shipping fishing rods.
This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I hope you take responsibility and make it right.
Website forces app usage, app refuses to connect personal info required to make purchases while website works perfectly fine. First customer service call was over 30m and wasn't even logged. Second 30m call was "promised" to be escalated, sent them screenshots of issue, after 5 days still hasn't been addressed and multiple follow-ups for update have been completely ignored. Will not shop at Dicks again.
Update: going on 3 weeks now, getting ghosted by customer service. I am beginning to think just like the first calls I made that no ticket was ever opened. App still doesn't link to my information and can't be used. Gave me "points" that didn't reflect and couldn't be used, took 4 days to reply to that and then claimed it was a coupon that needed a code for the app I can't use. Absolute worst customer service I've dealt with in a long long time.
