AI generated

Many consumers expressed deep frustration because they constantly struggled with complicated identity verification processes, technical errors, and exceptionally difficult website navigation when trying to complete essential tasks. Users frequently mentioned that customer support options were entirely unhelpful, rude, and extremely difficult to reach when attempting to resolve critical account access issues. Conversely, a small portion of people felt positively about specific interactions, noting that certain application processes worked quite well, offering a fast and efficient experience for users. A few other people also found certain online services straightforward to use when managing their requests successfully.

Bad experience during the UKVI…

Bad experience during the UKVI interview, felt like an interrogation rather than an interview, the interviewer seem to not like my answer at one point just because it wasn’t according to him so he stopped me but i dont think there is an wrong answer during the interview plus i was speaking at a normal phase which was fast for him and i was told to speak slowly all because he had to write down on what i was saying. So at the end of my interview he also did ask me how did the interview went and i said not to good and not to bad, and i even answer all the course modules and my university rankings and spoke proper and clear english to give a glimpse that i was a genuine student who had the same previous qualifications plus even work experience related to the same sector and even took a loan worth £31605 that would help me pay my tuition fees, living expenses and so on and I also believe that Mr Paul who took my interview sorry who interrogated me needs more training on how to interview.

A frustrating broken IT disaster…

Came looking for some relief in sharing frustrations with others... Need to register personal id for companies house, or will get fined, have spent numerous hours and days going round and round trying to verify my identity and it just never works, get bounced between one logon support and companies house, no one accepts responsibilty, advice was to go and get accountant to sign off identity - like I did 35 years ago when I started my first business, nowt as great as progress! This thing is an IT disaster, complety convoluted, non sensical and just plain broken. I have worked at Director level in IT for the NHS and thought I had seen it all in terms of god awful IT systems, but no Gov.Uk has asked the NHS to hold its beer while it unveils this poop show to the UK population. Anyway, heres a toast to everyone coming here in frustration, we are going down, women and children to the lifeboats, the UK just doesnt work anymore :(

Trying to swim through mud.

Trying to change address absolutely a pain. As others have said around and around trying to prove who I am took over an hour🤬. Also site when I got in was so difficult to navigate and I wanted to report AGAIN to the DVLA that despite my writing, contacting them, entering new forms for my licence for them to correct an error on my name there is no way to register their error (this has been going on for forty years!) useless site, useless DVLA and typical useless government service!

Atrocious- Layer after layer after…

Atrocious- Layer after layer after layer of self indentification (check your email; we have sent you a text; do you have your Gov Gateway ID etc, etc etc) and then dead ends. 'Have you got your Gov Gateway ID to hand?' I find it and enter it and the password- 'this Gateway ID hasbeen deleted as you haven't used it recently'. 'Try another way? NI number - entered with password that was remembered by my Iphone 'Sorry, that password doesn't match' Shall we call you?' 'Yes' 'average wait time 20 mins. I entered passport info (security chip) last week to get into DVLA. BUTyou cannot get into the Pensions site using this 'you only need to do it once', service because Pensions don't have it yet!!!!!! Kafkaesque is an overused description but here we are. I only wated to find out my Dtate Pension projection ffs.

Absolutely dreadful both on their…

Absolutely dreadful both on their website where my correct ID was not recognized, web chat was completely useless unable to Understand the simplest question and telephone when after waiting twelve minutes was cut off half way through my question. Having emailed in the past and waited three months for a response at my advanced age II shall probably be dead before matters are resolved

I never thought I would fall for something like this.

I am very disappointed with my experience. While applying for a UK ETA, I genuinely believed I was using the official government website. The design and wording of this website make it very easy to think that it is an official service. I ended up paying almost €100, only to discover afterwards that the official UK ETA costs significantly less. Although my ETA was eventually approved, I feel that the service fees are excessive and that it is not made sufficiently clear that this is a private third-party company, not the official UK government website. I hope this review helps other travellers avoid making the same mistake. Please double-check that you are using the official UK government website before paying for your ETA.

Navigation nightmare

In theory, and anything to speed up government processes has to be a good thing. However, not in this case. I spent 2 weeks trying to complete and file Companies House confirmation of directors statement, navigating around the site looking for the correct pathway, registering on umpteen pages, receiving umpteen security codes, finding out that the site is managing two different filing systems which are running concurrently throughout the transitional period and therefore had different interface instructions on different pages to input the same required information and all this before you have identified which filing system you are currently on. And then they have the audacity to charge you £50 for the privilege of doing their job for them!! All I can say is thank goodness for ChatGPT, without which I would not have emerged victorious

Absolute nightmare website

Absolute nightmare website. One hour of wasted time simply trying to change address on my driving licence! Download the app, went in circles trying to proove I am me, but nothing persuaded the app that my identity, despite boarding Quantas on my passport, equaled my true identity . I was utterly amazed that if this is where the UK is now, outsourcing app production to Romania that doesn’t work anyway.. I fear we’re doomed . The government should be ashamed and an awful lot of people will simply resort to using driving licences that arnt updated I fear!!

Trying to renew driving license.

Trying to renew driving license. Unbelievably difficult to fathom, recently renewed passport, (was a pain). Now they can't identify me to log in, wouldn't mind as use gov .uk regularly. If this website was a business they would have gone bankrupt a long time ago, unfortunately it's our taxes that fuel this debacle. Looks like a trip to the post office to sort it out.

It's absolutely horrendous

It's absolutely horrendous. I had to keep switching between my driving licence renew page in my browser and the one.gov app. This took ages and it was a huge fiddle to scan my photo. After I had finished it rejected it because apparently I had used two different browsers! I gave up and did it by post

I understand the need for security but…

I understand the need for security but this beggar’s belief. For a start , there is more than one way to log in to Gov.UK including Government Gareway and lately One Sign in. My wife and I share devices so trying to figure out whose is what is a nightmare at the best of times. Like others, I was trying to renew my driving licence the form they sent claimed it was easier. Downright lie. I’d logged in using an iPad and you can only use an iPhone (8 or later) or an Android phone to upload new photos. Why? My iPad has a camera! But that meant having to download an app on my phone for facial matching with my existing licence to verify me. Too much faff. Gave up and applied by post - existing photo good enough.

Doesn't even accept my bank details for a provisional license...

Terrible website. Tried to get a provisional licence, since I don't have existing ID it asked me to use my bank account details to verify. Put them in, matched my name to the bank and everything, said it couldn't even match my details... what is this?? Do I really have to send documents by post like it's 1989? 😭 I doubt their support would help either, since somewhere on the website it says they can't disclose any information on why the system won't accept a UK bank account 😐 And don't say "oH iT'S iN bEtA", it's been in beta since like 2022, they've had YEARS to sort it out 🙄 How is one supposed to have HMRC tax records before they turn 18?? Bet they didn't even think of that...
