I love this company! I’ve been a customer for over a year and have renewed for another year. No surprises in your bill every other month. No dropped calls, never have not been in a non service area. It’s just a great phone company for a fraction of what the large companies have been overcharging for decades.

Hidden charges

Wanted to give their recent promotion a try and realized that they charge about 30 "recovery fee" for all the plans but you won't know unless you add all your information. So no thank you

This is a pure scam!

This is a pure scam! They advertise $15 / month plans, but when you are ready to proceed, they hit you with another $25.25 recovery fee, that they need to cover their expenses. Like seriously? Why do I have to cover your business expenses??? You are saying: "$15 month plan" but that's a lie, a click bait. My suggestion is to stop accepting this BS and don't give your dollars to companies which are trying to trick and decieve you.

I have been with Mint mobile for many years I switch over to Mint in 2018. I recently decided to switch to ATT because I received a union discount but after only 3 months switched back to mint and purchased the 12 month unlimited plan flat out. I before had the 3 month plan and both plans have great value. At ATT I was paying around 90.00 a month for 3 months that of course Is 270.00 the 12 month plans at Mint mobile as a new customer would be around 180.00 as a returning customer I paid the full price of 360.00, a difference of 90.00 for one month of ATT service. A full year of ATT service is around 1080.00 and if you add a device possibly 30.00 additional dollars a month. If you also add cell phone protection 16.00 for their lowest plan the cost add up yearly to around 1612.00 give or take. The cost of a brand new phone and a year of service out right at mint mobile is still less expensive over all. To maximize my savings I trade my IPhone yearly after my initial investment out of pocket on a new phone so I always have the brand new Pro-max yearly at a price around 580.00. So I am only spending around 940.00 a year and tbh this is only because I purchase a new phone yearly. The monthly cost would be around 78.33 with Mint vs 135.00 or even higher depending on location and taxes with most standard carriers. If you leave out purchasing a phone yearly the savings are even more significant with an over all cost difference of 30.00 a month vs 135.00 a month. I also don’t have a monthly bill to worry about for 12 months because I went with the yearly plan and that’s really nice. The service is great I never have any issues and though customer service is a little thin I don’t think I have needed them. In most cases your calling customer service with billing issues and I don’t have any or any questions my bill is paid for the year. I would also say ease of use and switching to Mint is really a breeze. You call your cell phone carrier request the PIN number and account number to port your phone number over, you simply input that information into the online form and receive an ESIM this all took 20 minutes. Overall my experience has been 10 out of 10 if I were to rate it. I have WiFi at home and that supplements my data usage but my plan is unlimited with no throttle so even when not home I have not noticed any significant difference in data and speeds. In conclusion there is no better value than Mint mobile in my opinion it’s truly hands off stress free cell phone service and with a 12 month plan that’s one less bill monthly I need to account for. I see no reason to pay higher prices in these economic times for comparable cell phone services honestly I see no reason to do so even if the economic times were much different.

Not worth the stress

I spoke with 4 different "people" regarding a number change. I was up front that I had changed my number a few months back for safety and legal reasons (a restraining order), but that person got my new number and has continued to harass me. For the next FOUR HOURS, they tried to change my number and couldn't because of their arbitrary "6 month rule", and I would have to wait another few months to change it. It didnt matter if I spoke to a supervisor or Ryan Reynolds himself, simply no one could get around this rule im the system. I offered court documentation. I requested the remaining months I paid for to be refunded so I could cancel my plan and go elsewhere in order to change my number and gain some peace of mind. Of course that wasnt possible either. The customer service is terrible. The a.i. bots are infuriating. And honestly, even aside from this terrible incident, the service is awful and you can be in your own house and you wont have service. Edit: called AGAIN. The customer service representative couldnt/wouldn't help and said no one would be able to change my number because of their rule. I requested a supervisor. He said, "they're just going to tell you the same thing." After telling him I'd still like to speak with a supervisor and hear that from them I was finally transferred (again). And, shocker, they absolutely can change your number! Huh. Only took 6 people and 6 hours to get a 5 minute fix. Unclear why the supervisors the night before couldn't or wouldn't do it. ZERO stars overall. What a shitshow.

I've been waiting over a week for my SIM card to be mailed out and I've contacted support twice with no resolution. At this point I'd be better off cancelling the payment and ordering again.

Fantastic!

My experience so far with Mint has been great. Transferring my service from another carrier was super easy along with starting a whole new phone line. The prices are fantastic for the same thing name brand companies are charging way more for. I haven't had any issues with service even driving out where service may have been interrupted. If you want a new phone carrier, switch to Mint!

My 25 yo autistic son can no longer…

My 25 yo autistic son can no longer access his phone. The account was under his father’s name and email. He has since passed away and the account is locked. Because he requested an eSIM 3 times ( the email went to his dead father’s email address), the account is locked for 30 days. Mint mobile said that I had to get access to his father’s email or there is nothing they will or can do. Does anyone think google is going to give me access to his father’s email? His can no longer get saved voicemails from his father’s email. Thanks Mint mobile. You screwed this one up.
