Roadrunner Sports is a Scam

Roadrunner Sports is a Scam Charged a CC $74.89 for a membership I never requested. Maybe I bought shoes from them a decade ago? They only refunded me $69.99 when I asked for a refund. Total scam and if you've ever done business with this company, check your CC statements for unsolicited charges!!

Terrible terrible terrible

Terrible terrible terrible! I have tried to cancel multiple times and they somehow find a way to charge my card for yet another renewal. Never an advance notice even though they have my email and market to me directly. These guys are outright CROOKS! Do NOT agree to the membership or subscription, just pay the regular prices. They sell the same shoes over and over regardless of your size. The insoles sort of work - but not worth

Ordering was quick and easy despite 4th…

Ordering was quick and easy despite 4th of July sale. Non member shipping price is very reasonable and uses UPS ground with tracking and delivery window. They have a large inventory which helps my husband who wears size 13. We are told the day of shipment, just 2 days after ordering and arrival 2 days after shipping. Very pleased.

Why I Cancelled My Platinum Membership After Years of Loyalty

I was a Platinum member of Road Runner Sports for several years because I genuinely believed in this company. Unfortunately, over time I watched the value of the membership steadily decline while prices continued to increase. The benefits that once made Road Runner Sports stand out have gradually disappeared, which is why I cancelled my Platinum membership today. Road Runner Sports promotes itself as a family-owned business that puts customers first, but my experience has been the exact opposite. Instead of investing in customer satisfaction, it appears that cost-cutting has become the primary focus. One of the biggest disappointments has been the switch to GLS as their preferred shipping carrier. In the past, my orders would arrive within just a few days using reliable shipping services like FedEx and UPS. Since switching to GLS, the delivery experience has become frustrating and unreliable. On multiple occasions, GLS claimed that a delivery attempt had been made even though I was home all day and no one ever came to my door. Whether these were inaccurate scans or operational issues, the result was the same: unnecessary delays and an extremely poor customer experience. I specifically asked Road Runner Sports not to use GLS for my future orders because of these repeated problems. Despite my request, my subsequent order was shipped through GLS again, demonstrating that customer feedback was either ignored or simply not valued. Another concern is the structure of the rewards program. While it offers credits toward future purchases, it also encourages customers to keep spending in order to realize the value of rewards they've already earned. What once felt like a loyalty program now feels more like a marketing strategy designed to keep customers continuously making another purchase. After years of watching prices rise, membership benefits shrink, shipping quality decline, and customer concerns go unaddressed, I finally decided it was time to end my relationship with Road Runner Sports. Customer loyalty is earned through value, reliability, and respect—not by continually reducing service while asking customers to pay more. When a company prioritizes short-term cost savings over long-term customer satisfaction, it shouldn't be surprised when loyal customers choose to take their business elsewhere. I hope Road Runner Sports takes these concerns seriously. I was once one of your biggest supporters, but today I became another former customer who simply expected better.

I have always had a great experience…

I have always had a great experience with Road Runner Sports. I have been a member for over 15 years and never consider dropping my membership. My latest purchase came directly from the manufacturer, with my Road Runner discount, free shipping, and arrived in two days.

Roadrunner Sports

Since we live 2 hours away from a retail store, I ordered a jacket online as a Father’s Day gift for my husband on June 10. Received around 5 days later, left in original packaging until my husband opened it on June 21 (Father’s Day) It was too small and didn’t come in a larger size, so customer support emailed me a shipping label for the return. I took it to the UPS store on June 23, in the original packaging. On July 6, I once again contacted customer support to inquire about my refund. I had paid with a combination of VIP points and credit card. I was told a gift card had been sent via email….never received! Conveniently they had the correct email for the return shipping label, but not for the gift card refund. When I asked why the portion I had paid by card wasn’t refunded back to my card, I was told the jacket was returned in “charitable donation” condition and since I couldn’t prove otherwise I would not be getting my credit card refunded. We were in possession of the jacket for 2 weeks…in the middle of June, in Arizona! Not exactly jacket weather. I have PAID for a VIP membership since 2019, you would think looking at all the facts, common sense would tell you that a $40 refund is not worth losing a customer. I would have gladly donated the jacket to anyone other than Roadrunner Sports. By the way my “emailed” gift card is still MIA.

Very poor customer service

Placed an online order 5/31 for 2 of the same short. For some reason they were each shipped in 2 separate orders. The first was delivered some place in Skokie, IL. I live in San Diego. The 2nd was delivered 6/11, that's not fast shipping. Called support as I only received one. They said they had to submit an inquiry and to call back if I don't receive it in 10 days. Tracking shows it was delivered some where else. It's not going to be delivered. I already paid for the pair that wasn't; delivered. Very very poor customer service! When you make a mistake you should fix it immediately.

Their website is the worst ordering…

Their website is the worst ordering experience, every single time. It's shocking to me that the experience can be so bad in 2026. I am currently on my 4th order of the same socks that my son desperately needs at his drum corps camp. I had to add $15 expedited shipping because of all the delays, and still my order isn't showing up in the history. None of my orders actually go through. When the first order mysteriously vanished, it took my rewards $ with it. So I lost that $25 also. The next 2 orders I placed gave confirmation, but never processed. We love their Drymax socks, but I am so over their website that I am just going to cancel my VIP membership at renewal and find another brand of socks.

Tony Hung was worth the wait

Tony Hung was worth the wait. He assisted both my niece and I to buy great Sports shoes that felt perfect. Thanks! Debbie and Laurie Also, thanks to Montrez for helping us by phone: We arrived home and realized we left on new socks on the counter. I will pick up the socks tomorrow. Appreciate you! Debbie

Shocking

Shocking, and terrible, shoes never arrived, called every 2 days, told me to wait for delivery, i kept saying i just wanted a refund or the shoes, they said i had to wait 2 days, then 2 weeks later, they said they would issue a refund. Not the first time the experience has been bad. Used to order shoes from them years ago, they were great, something changed to where they dont care a bit about customer experience. Sure you will save a few dollars on the initial purchase, but the VIP membership is a rip, with how bad their customer service is not worh the hassle. I asked to speak to a manager to resolve, they forwarded me to a voice mail....nice one, good luck with a resolution when your forwarded to a voicemail....

I’m extremely disappointed with my…

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Road Runner Sports. I purchased a pair of shoes on discount, then 9 days later I was unexpectedly charged an additional $49.99 with no clear warning, receipt, or explanation. I removed my card from the account because I never knowingly agreed to any recurring membership charge. What makes this worse is there was no email receipt, no renewal notification, and no transparency about why my card was charged after the original purchase was already completed. This feels misleading and deceptive. Customers should not have to dig through fine print to avoid surprise charges after buying shoes. I’ve contacted customer service and if this isn’t resolved immediately, I’ll be disputing the charge with my bank. Be careful when purchasing from this company.

Un-authorized charge on my Husbands Credit Car for Annual Membership

My husband, who wasn't even a customer of RoadRunnerSports.com, received an email that his annual fee was just charged ($49.95). It was impossible to login. They had his email, but I could'nt enter a password. Finally called, and the first choice for call direction was "Questions about your annual membership". SURPRISE!! Obviously they have a lot of calls. Predatory technique. He said that he could pro-rate the membership. Told him, no that I want the entire amount back. HA! Told the bank that it was not a charge to our credit card that He or I had authorized.

Long time customer of RRS - First time on this site

First time to ever visit this site, but felt it important to leave a review. RRS has been a staple in SoCal for over 40 years where I lived until recently, and I have used them extensively. They provide great products with a huge selection of (mostly) running shoes, apparel, and gear. I recently bought online another pair of Brooks Glycerin and received them very quickly - as always! If you become a member (not required at all), you get discounts and reward money for future purchases, something very important for those of us who go through shoes like water!

Cancelled Order Still Shipped and Charged Anyway

This was one of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve had. I ordered a pair of shoes and heard nothing for weeks. When I finally called customer service, I was told they were waiting on stock and the order could not be fulfilled. I cancelled the order and bought the exact same shoes from Amazon, which arrived the same day. Weeks later, Road Runner suddenly emailed saying the shoes were shipping anyway. I had to call customer service again and wait around 40 minutes to speak to someone, only to be told there was no record of my original cancellation request. The representative promised the order would be cancelled and intercepted before leaving the warehouse. That never happened. The shoes still arrived and my credit card was charged. The company completely failed at inventory management, communication, and customer service. Customers should not have to repeatedly chase down a company to stop an order that was already cancelled.

This has the worst online shopping…

This has the worst online shopping experience ever. There website does not work. It won’t take your saved password so you have to keep resetting it. In addition, the search box doesn’t work.. I spent 30 minutes trying to order one item. After the transaction was complete, it said cannot order and it took my rewards points which was $25.

Dumb Membership, dont waste time with them…

Even with their stinkin membership they take such pride in, you get so many delays every step of the way. You have to contact them and waste your time. Their website is not good at all and doesnt update. Refunds take WAYYYYYYYYYY too long and the support just keeps trying to end conversation with "is there anything else we can do" like yo...you didnt do anything to start with. FIX YOUR WEBSITE!!!!
