Upgraded and paid counter. Rep who assisted me when picking up the vehicle was awesome. Bmw x5 had navigation issues. Android auto issues. Brought the vehicle back and the rep who was assisting me was not helpful. Blaming my phone. I have a galaxy s24. She was telling navigation is not something they provide. If I wanted to swap out my vehicle that I would have to pay again. Suggesting to deal with it or pay more. I did get some help when I called. So thank you for that. I feel that the rep should have taken care of getting me into a vehicle that was fully functioning. And not try to sqeeze me for more money. Make sure if you rent from sixt that your vehicle is fully functional before leaving.
While the Sixt vehicles were parked at the very end of the garage (Portland airport), I did get to walk past all the $50k super bland rentals at all the other vendors before stepping into my $130k vehicle from Sixt. For the long weekend, this fancy car was only about $100 more than the typical rental from my old rental company (and that's with the hefty corporate discount from the old rental company). Sixt also gave me a digital check-in that let me skip the counter in the rental car terminal. Most of the companies had crazy long lines. Sixt also had a line, but I didn't have to stand in it! Went straight to the vehicles, where a friendly agent gave me keys in fairly short order. Return was even easier, with good signage and another friendly agent right there to check the vehicle back in.
I have only rented two times with SiXT, and both experiences have been excellent. The same employee, David, assisted me both times. He went out of his way to find me a car, even during high travel season in Arizona, that would satisfy my needs. He was extremely accommodating, pleasant and efficient. No hassle whatsoever. Super pleasant human being. I would recommend SiXT to others in a second. Both of my vehicles were wonderful. Thank you.
I rented from SIXT in Liberia, Costa Rica. The staff were wonderful and helpful. Everything went well. The thing I learned is to be sure to reserve a car online. We were debating whether to rent a car or use public transportation. We saw a price the night before and thought we'd ask at the desk. They gave us a much higher price, but helped us out after we mentioned the price we saw online the night before. The only down side was the actual car we rented (a Geely Azkarra). In my opinion, this car was just all around awful. The transmission was like a rubber band and borderline dangerous to drive in city traffic. You press the gas pedal and nothing would happen for maybe 2 seconds, then the car would spring forward. The car would lock and unlock itself, flash lights, etc depending how far the keyfob was from the vehicle. It got us around, but wow, what an awful vehicle to drive. But I'll still give SIXT 5 stars as they only rented it, they aren't the ones designing the building the vehicle.
Twice now I have had an outstanding experience with long-term rentals from SIXT on Kauai. The low-mileage cars have been in great condition and the friendly, professional staff has been outstanding. Among them, Tabitha is a gem, and judging by people like her and Vernon, another wonderful employee, I would not hesitate to recommend the company or rent from SIXT anytime I am traveling.

Use of the app allowed me to conduct all business quickly and effectively. Use of app allowed me to skip some of the pickup and return process again making the entire rental process very convenient. The only interaction with a human was getting the keys and dropping them off and the staff was great.
I’ve never had a bad experience with Sixt. The agents are more than professional and helpful. I purchase the additional insurance as well because I did have a problem once and learned a lesson. Even at that time I was helped quickly and given a new car (during a huge flood) I will never use another company! And I’ve rented with them a number of times now (maybe 6 or 7)!

On July 31, I followed up via email regarding a promised refund for the excess amount, but I have yet to receive any response or contact from customer support. Despite assurances, no one has reached out or taken action to rectify this billing error. I expect an immediate refund of the duplicate charge and prompt confirmation from your finance team. I will definitely be using Sixt again. The booking online was simple, the price very competitive but really it was the staff. From Craig at the check in desk to Mark at the returns, everybody was genuinely helpful and engaging. Craig got me on the road as quickly as possible and was friendly with it. Mark was just lovely telling stories and having the craic but all the time doing his job so as not to delay us. Definitely will be using them again.
Excellent service and 60 percent off their own insurance online. Allowed for the car to be picked up early car was ready and all previous damage well documented.
Cars always clean and in excellent condition almost brand new. I had a small issue with my upgrade and I wasn’t satisfied and once I reached out it was resolved immediately. Best car rental company !!
