My wife and I both are F1 student and as this is our first time filing taxes we were worried. Sprintax handled it pretty well. Also they handled our medical insurance confusion like a pro! Recommending every F1 student to use this platform.

First time used and it was GREAT

I was using Sprintax for the first time and needed to use support agent assistance via the chat. Kristian Stefanov, support agent, helped me a lot. Very knowledgeable person, quick and accurate responses, polite language. Please, give him a raise or make him a manager. This is exactly the kind of agent you want to see when preparing the taxes. Tax Filling

I have been filling taxes with Sprintax for a few years now. This year, my experience with the Sprintax team, has been an enormous positive change. Filling taxes for international students/scholars can be an overwhelming and stressful process, but the representatives have been super helpful, because oftentimes tax payers have inquiries that go beyond the instructions in the Sprintax manual.

Great experience

I filed my 2025 taxes with sprintax as a non-resident and got the most supportive customer representative. Megan was incredibly helpful. She took time out to research and give me correct information. She reviewed information with me, and gave me the right guidance. I couldn't have done it without her. Thanks to her and to the sprintax team!

Help in struggle

Tax return

I had a lot of difficulty filling out the tax return and had many questions related to the entire process. Thanks to Beray, who responded immediately to every question i had.He explained everything to me in detail and made the process easy and understandable!

Consistent follow-up

As a Fulbright visiting scholar, I used the Sprintax system to prepare my 2025 tax documents. After dedicating approximately one week to understanding and completing the process, I was able to download only the federal tax return, while the state tax documents were not accessible. I reported this issue to the IIE Sprintax team on April 2, 2026. Owing to time constraints, I subsequently accessed the system again and obtained the state tax documents by paying the required service fee. On April 3, 2026, Mr. Mark Valentine responded to my inquiry and provided the state tax documents. In my reply, I noted that my colleagues had not incurred such charges. Mr. Valentine assured me that he would review the matter with his team. On April 7, 2026, he confirmed that the amount paid would be refunded. I sincerely appreciate his professionalism, responsiveness, and commitment to resolving the issue.

Not a great experience

I’ve used Sprintax before and had a really good experience, which is why I chose to use them again this year. Unfortunately, this time was very different. I filed my taxes through e-filing, as I’m currently in Australia and can’t easily post documents. My return was rejected by the IRS, and after that, Sprintax became pretty much useless. The only guidance I was given was that it was now too late to e-file again (as you only get one attempt), and that I’d need to post my return instead—which isn’t practical for me. Beyond that, they offered no real support or alternative solution. What’s especially frustrating is that I paid nearly $100 extra for additional support services, and it didn’t feel worth it at all. When I actually needed help, there was none. Really disappointing compared to my previous experience, and I don’t think I’ll be using Sprintax again.
