What reviewers say

AI generated

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently reported frustrating encounters with unhelpful customer support, lengthy waiting times on the phone, and unexpected price increases on their monthly bills. Many individuals also struggled with unreliable network coverage, frequent dropped calls, and unexpected connection issues following recent company transitions. However, some reviewers were happy with the knowledgeable and polite store staff who consistently provided patient and attentive assistance. These customers truly appreciated the dedicated professional support they received during their direct visits to local service centers. People noted that dealing with representatives in person was often much better than handling issues over the phone.

Been with T-mobile 10 years+ and Lost My Line bc of Accidental Roaming

Been with T-mobile 10 years+ and had my line shut off because of using international roaming by mistake; told nothing can be done no matter the circumstances... Context: I've been traveling the last 3 months and buying international data passes. I did this consistently until I settled in a country and got a local SIM and added it to my phone. But recently I got a warning text that if I continue using roaming my coverage will be shut off. No problem - I toggle off data roaming on the line but apparently that doesnt fix the issue because I get a follow up message weeks later that I have violated terms by continuing to roam and my line is being shut off. Support tells me that "data roaming" only turns off data - but since I'm still receiving texts that I am still using roaming... as far as I know there's no way to turn it off from my end besides doing "turn off this line" which removes my ability to even use wifi-calling. What is crazy to me is there is there is no fee I can pay to restore service. Again, I am using my other SIM card for data and it's only texts that are consuming data (of which I was unaware, thinking I had addressed the roaming warning) - a minor amount of data . I am happy to buy another internal data pass now that I understand the issue but they tell me it's too late and losing access is not reversible unless I'm military. Why cant they just toggle off my free roaming and require an active data pass or premium service? Idk. Apparently I am losing internal usage for a year. The support rep even tells me "we arent an international company" as if I should be obvious that I shouldnt expect to use my phone internationally, even though they sell datapasses which shows they do support international usage... Support also points out they sent 3 warning texts and I never reached out. As far as I'm aware, I only got 2 warning text months. The first was months back and I thought nothing of it because I reupped my international data pass as solution. And following the recent warning I toggled off data as I was using my other SIM. I need my US number for texting for business - I respectfully tell T-mobile I have to transfer service to another carrier if I'm going to lose access and suggest that perhaps we can talk to Customer Retention department to get an exception. According to the manager, it's an independent department that shuts off service with no way of contacting them ... Again, I am willing to pay whatever. I have been buying data passes. Cost is no issue. I had assumed data was off being that "data roaming" was toggled off. No solutions. Very dissapointing customer service and difficult to believe.

Eyes wide open

A few years ago I went to T-Mobile, they had a program for seniors. I joined it happily added My Son and my Grandson to my plan. I even bought an iPhone. Everything was good and steady. I had a few hiccups, but the Customer Service was pretty good until. Some months ago, I don’t remember exactly when but it hasn’t been that long ago, I received a message that they were raising their price five dollars per phone line. I wasn’t very happy with that but I went with it. I really actually felt I didn’t have a choice. I definitely was not going to mess with other places and I’ve had less flack with T-Mobile. Then recently I received a text that they were raising another six dollars more per line, and that the plan I had, the senior plan, was no longer available.?? Now I was confused since it was a senior plan, what is that? Anyway, by this time I had already removed one of the lines. It was only two lines, I was able to bring down my phone costs pretty well, but with the addition of these so-called additional costs and the removal of my senior discount, I was right back up there so of course yes I’m suspicious and yes, I’m upset and disappointed because I’m not paying what they’re asking me to pay. It is over $60 dollars per phone line and I was only paying $35 for one of them and 50 for the other and a Netflix. Discount. Now it’s over $121 WITHOUT THE NETFLIX DISCOUNT? I had a couple of conversations with their customer service people and I got off the phone satisfied because they said that they would give me another program that I was available for, and it was the senior program……..wait a minute. I was already on the Senior program. So they were caught in a lie fumbled with their words then made a deal with me, that I would only be charged $60 a month for the two lines, (not each) with this NEW 👀program so I accepted it. Before the deal was made I removed Netflix. So it was $60 a month for two lines not each. I reiterated several times, each time it was yes ma’am that’s right $60 for two lines. I went to my checking account and found they had charged me $121. I was livid. When I confronted this, they told me that yes it’s $60 a month and that they would credit next month which is August, saying they would, instead of charging me that I wouldn’t have to pay anything in August because I already had paid them $121. Well I didn’t pay them. They took it. It was only supposed to be $60 taken out of my account in the first place. That was flag number two. The third one came when I got a text for the August bill saying that I owe $30. The gaslighting and finagling that went on in that conversation convince MeeMee I never should have given them. Another chance this time they act like they didn’t know what I was talking about. They said that they didn’t give me a $60 discount but gave me a $70 credit on my next bill. So, I said so what you’re saying is that you did me a favor and took off $70 off my next bill and so what is September bill looking like and they said $121 which meant I had been lied to the whole time they have customer service people who like to play games and lie to you and that’s T-Mobile‘s business, if that’s how they want to do their business that’s on them, but I am not the customer that has to put up with it. I don’t care what company I have to go to. It will not be T-Mobile. I regret ever telling anybody that they were a good company because I really honestly in my heart thought they were. I had a smile in my face when it came to them, but they fix that real good for me that love affair is over. I may be a senior, but I am not stupid and I’m careful with my money. I paid you on the fourth of every month and I trusted you T-Mobile to be honorable and honest if I don’t pay my bill after the fourth, my phone would be shut off because on that day that’s when it starts and that’s when it ends. I don’t do business with companies who are not straight and dishonest, and try to take advantage of seniors. Next time be straight with what you have and then allow the person to say yes or no to it instead of telling them things that are not true and then have the nerve to go into their account and take money that I didn’t agree to. Your loss cause I can take my money anywhere and I am.

A Shameful, Toxic company. Leaving after 21 years.

Been with T-Mobile for 21 years. They went from a cool, loyal, customer first company to a toxic, dishonest, greed‑soaked corporation reading off a script. The whole “Un‑carrier, no price increases” thing clearly lasted only as long as they needed to reel in enough customers. Then the switch flipped to “we don’t give a F about you, just pay us or get out.” So we’re getting out. All three of our lines are leaving permanently. It’s astonishing how fast a company can go from an industry rebel to shameless cash grab. Truly disgraceful. Shame on you T-Mobile.

Can't Wait to Switch to Another Carrier

After 1 month with T-Mobile, I'm counting down the days when I can switch out. Metro told me if I switched to T-Mobile I'd have the same 25GB Hotspot. This was false. T-Mobile provides useless, PREHISTORIC, 3G Hotspot. Don't get me started on customer service. When switching phones, it didn't seem like any of the sales help knew what a phone number switch to a new phone was! It took me 3 trips to the store to get my phone number switched. And everyday there are different people.

Horrible verification procedures.

I will say I was very impressed with the service itself both cell phone and internet. I live in a very rural area and had better service with them than I have had with any company, however what's my phone was damaged and I'm trying to get a new phone they make it impossible. I understand a two-factor authentication, but when your device is broke and you can't receive a text where are you supposed to do. I have made multiple calls and multiple times I have been told someone will call me back in an hour to an hour and a half so we can verify my account a different way. Two and a half weeks in I'm still waiting on that call so at this point I refuse to pay my bill because I'm not going to pay for a service that I can't use. This is the most ridiculous process I've ever seen.

If I could give them less than 1 star

If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. Went to T-Mobile to get a new back up phone. 2 hours in Walmart and I finally had a phone. I sent text messages to my contacts updating the phone number. No one responded. I had a friend that was with me send me a text. He received an angry text back telling him he is tired of getting more text messengers for somebody named Mark. Several hour fifteen tech support and they were unable to remedy the problem. The next day I went back to walmart and they replaced in the phone. That was a three hour experience. That phone dropped calls almost immediately after the person receiving the call answered. At this point I was done. Between 2 nonfliouting phones in 24 hours, I spent eight hours of that dealing with phone problems. There was a fifteen day return policy on the phone. I return to fifteen hours of receiving the last phone. They refunded my money , but now I have a collection agency trying to get 122 dollars from me. Apparently, everything teacher is based in india. Stay this far away from T mobile as you can. Nothing but scammers and thieves.

T-Mobile Greedy No-service Company

I'd been with T-Mobile for 8 years. The cost had increased repeatedly and had reached the point where it wasn't worth it. I went to the store to cancel and 'they couldn't do it now ' so I waited a week and went back. Cancelled everything through the store and they said I was good to go. T-Mobile immediately cut access to their t-life app. 23 days later I got contacted by a collection agency saying I owed an additional $93. Then on top of that, they said there was a $25 late payment fee imposed by T-Mobile. I never got a bill, I was told all was good when I cancelled and these crooks turned things over to collections without even trying to contact me and without any explanation. T-Mobile has turned from a lower cost customer friendly company into a high cost greedy customer no-service company. Lots of alternatives out there, use them instead.

I have never experienced customer…

I have never experienced customer service as frustrating as T-Mobile’s. I canceled my service, yet somehow I’m being told I’m responsible for returning old, outdated devices instead of the new device that was actually sent to me. The entire process has been confusing, and no one seems able to provide a clear or consistent answer. What’s even more frustrating is that the retail stores can’t help. Every issue has to be handled over the phone, and every single call lasts well over an hour. I’ve spent countless hours repeating my situation to different representatives, getting transferred, and starting over. It’s gotten to the point where I won’t even continue a call until I have the representative’s full name and employee ID because I’ve been disconnected or transferred so many times without any resolution. I shouldn’t have to document every conversation just to protect myself. For a company this large, the customer service experience is unacceptable. Returning a device and closing an account should be simple—not something that consumes hours of my time with no clear resolution. T-Mobile needs to empower its stores to actually help customers and improve the communication between departments. And let’s be clear I still have my cell and home Internet service with them, for now…

Evil has a new standard bearer

If you ranked every company in the history of the world in order of the absolute most diabolically evil, T-Mobile would be at the top of the list. If the devil himself partnered with Hitler to start a wireless company, the result would still rank second place at best, behind the rotting, maggot-infested corpse of corporate malfeasance that defines this insipid wireless company even Sauron wouldn't dare to operate. The English language lacks any words sufficient to define the horrifically malevolent conglomeration of putrid pink bile that defiles the letter T by its very existence. You could search the bowels of hell for the remainder of eternity, but you will never discover anything more reprehensible than this wretched company.

T-MOBILE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS, DOESN'T COMPLY WITH ITS PROMISES AND HAVE EXAGERATED PRICES, DO NOT MAKE BUSINESS WITH T-MOBILE.

PLEASE, DO NOT GET ANY SERVICE FROM T-MOBILE, I'VE BEEN WITH T-MOBILE FOR 20 YEARS, I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE BEFORE MY JUNE PAYMENT TO AVOID THE LATE FEE, AND THE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME I WASN'T GOING TO GET CHARGED FOR LATE FEE, AND I WAS CHARGED FOR THE LATE FEE, AND I STILL PAID ON TIME, I PAID ONE DAY AFTER MY DUE DATE SINCE I HAD A GRACE PERIOD OF SOME DAYS, AND WHEN I CALLED TO GET THAT LATE FEE FIXED, THEY GAVE ME A LIE SAYING THAT THE GRACE PERIOD ENDS ON YOUR DUE DATE, IT WAS EXACTLY $14.04, THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT IF I DIDN'T PAY I WAS GOING TO GET MY SERVICE DISCONECTED AND THAT I HAD TO PAY ANOTHER $20.00 TO GET MY SERVICE BACK ON, I WISH IT'LL SHOW ZERO STARS, BUT, UNFORTUNATELY, IT DOESN'T, SO I HAD TO PUT ONE STAR, BUT, T-MOBILE CHARGES ARE EXAGGERATED AND THEY DON'T COMPLY WITH THEIR PROMISES, PLEASE, GET ALL THE INFORMATION YOU WANT BEFORE GETTING SERVICE FROM T-MOBILE AND IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH THE ANSWERS, THEN GO TO ANOTHER PHONE SERVICE COMPANY, T-MOBILE ISN'T THE ONLY PHONE SERVICE COMPANY, T-MOBILE DOESN'T COMPLY WITH ITS PROMISES I REPEAT, AND ITS PRICES ARE TOO HIGH, THANK YOU. ------------------------------

Needed Better Customer Support

Dealing with T-Mobile has been a mixed bag for me. While their service is decent, the customer support is frustratingly slow. I reached out with a simple question and ended up waiting on hold for ages. It’s just disappointing when you need help quickly.

They won't shut off the phone of a dying person that has no phone payments or contracts

My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and we have been trying to cancel her service for months. She is unable to use it due to the inability to talk and remember how to use it. I have POA, but they keep giving me the run around. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM, IT IS UNTIL DEATH DO YOU PART. My Mom doesn't owe for the phone and has no contract in place. She has had this phone for 5 plus years. I am going to get an attorney and sue for the stress that it has caused her and our family.

I was forced to switch with them as my old fiber company Lumos, which was a great company merged with them, and I have had so many problems since then, I'm paying for 1 Gig speed, and have had several nights after an outage of only 3-7 mps, I've called multiple times and they said someone would be out today to replace my router as they say I need their router not the old companies, well why wasn't that done when I was merged over? It's been months since then, and I haven't heard from anyone about coming today like they said I would, I've never seen a business with such bad reviews how are they still in operation, and looks like a lot of the people on here are having similar issues as I am, those commercials are a complete lie lol, I know one thing they will never get my business as a mobile carrier and if another fiber company comes to town I'm switching even if it cost more.
