Customer service was great! The process to purchase and install the SIS system was smooth, I would definitely recommend doing business with this company. I am from Trinidad. We have a major time difference but they ensured we got our service on time.Keep up the great work guys!
FoxFlash defective, support wasted days, then it started smoking — no solution offered
I purchased a brand-new FoxFlash programmer from VXDAS (Order #VXDAS15829EN). From the beginning, the tool was completely non-functional — no ECU communication, no power from the BenchBox, and no response even when trying different ECUs with direct wiring.
Initially, there was no smoke. It appeared on the 3-rd day, after I had already spent many hours testing. While chatting with the support team via messenger and preparing to send photos (as requested), I left the BenchBox powered on with a test ECU connected — just to show how everything was wired. I got distracted while writing the message, and a few minutes later I noticed a strong burning smell. Smoke was coming from the BenchBox. I recorded a video as proof and sent it to them. Sadly, I couldn’t include the smell of burnt electronics.
I spent over 20 hours across two evenings carefully troubleshooting. I’m a professional ECU technician, and my setup was correct. Yet instead of offering a refund or replacement, they just kept asking for more photos — as if I were a beginner. I even told them that I had already taken everything apart, having exhausted every option.
I clearly explained the issue to their representative via messenger and even offered specific options to resolve the situation — but her reply was simply that she is “just a representative” and that the technical team would decide how (and if) they would handle it. When I directly asked “when will you resolve this?”, the reply I got was “I’ll have lunch first, then I will talk to the team.” After that — complete silence. I had to follow up again more than 24 hours later to receive a vague, noncommittal response.
Meanwhile, more than 48 hours passed since our first contact, and the first thing I was asked was my order number — even though it was already clearly provided in earlier messages within the same chat, along with the tracking number. This felt more like a strategy to delay resolution than to help.
Most of their public replies on Trustpilot say “we will check and solve the problem,” yet the reviews are never updated — which strongly suggests that these problems are rarely resolved. Their responses seem more like routine deflection than genuine support.
At this point, I no longer have any interest in using FoxFlash from this company again. I’ve lost two days of work and nearly $700. I strongly discourage anyone from buying from this store.
I have saved all correspondence, including the video evidence and purchase confirmation. If the company eventually resolves the matter, I will consider updating this review to reflect the outcome — but nothing changes the fact that the support process has already been unacceptably poor.

Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. While we always strive to provide a seamless experience, we feel it is necessary to present the complete facts of this case.
1. Timeline & Operational Background:
This device was purchased in December 14,2024 and successfully activated in late December 24, 2024. The initial report regarding technical issues was raised in May 2025—nearly half a year after normal operation, rather than a "brand-new, out-of-the-box" defect as implied.
2. Technical Evaluation & Cause of Failure:
Upon receiving your feedback message and video, our technical team and the manufacturer conducted a thorough inspection. It was determined that the hardware burnout of the Bench Box was caused by an improper connection setup (specifically, connecting FoxFlash JTAG and the test box simultaneously), which led to a direct short circuit.
3. Resolution & Policy Boundaries:
Throughout the communication, although the issue originated from operation misuse outside standard parameters, our team proactively offered practical solutions, including repair options and return/refund paths in accordance with our return policy. However, demanding a full refund or an arbitrary swap to an entirely different brand/model (KT200) after nearly six months of use falls completely outside standard industry warranty policies, and thus we had to respectfully decline those requests.
4. Our Commitment:
We acknowledge that our initial response time during the peak of the case could have been more efficient, and we have optimized our support workflows accordingly. Despite the prolonged deadlock and unaligned demands, to ensure you were supported, we ultimately arranged and shipped a brand-new replacement Bench Box to resolve your hardware concerns.
We remain committed to supporting professional automotive technicians with professional, rule-compliant service.
Best regards,
VXDAS Support Team
Just a wonderful company with a very kind and supper cool customer service.. they helped me recover my Xtuner credentials for completely FREE though i never ordered tool from them. 100% recommended.
Absolutely amazing, had trouble setting up even a month after I purchased their product. I reached out and their team and they made it such a breeze to get everything up and running. Customer service is totally top notch always helpful and always kind.
I bought SD Connect, cables and SSD for software.
First, hardware is top notch and packaging excellent. Shipping was much quicker than I thought, very pleased.
Software setup is pretty clever, and VXDAS support got things activated quickly.
The instructions are all over the place though, which made it difficult to collect all the information and guide bits to get stuff running. 4.5/5.
MB Star C4 - full set, ready to use review:
One year later the system is still working and has been very helpful for diagnosis, general maintenance, and programming. I did have problems connecting to newer Mercedes via Xentry, but after a few weeks of back-and-forth, VXDAS came through and got it working. Support is slow at times - but they eventually get there. Overall happy with purchase. Oh, by the way, I did replace the laptop battery and charger - this is to be expected but easily found for less than $50.
I bought software for removing the immobiliser from my engine swap ECU.
Initially I had issues installing the software but after contacting VXDAS tech support they got it installed and working very quickly.
Efficient and helpful.
I won't hesitate buying from them again, great work!.
