What people say

Excellent customer service from Wahoo

I had a recurring moisture problem with my Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM v1. The device was already outside the standard warranty period, and unfortunately the same problem had occurred with two separate units. I contacted Wahoo Support and was very pleasantly surprised by the way my case was handled. Kenneth from Wahoo Support was professional, friendly and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. He listened to the situation, explained the available solution clearly and ultimately offered a courtesy replacement. Even better, because the ROAM v1 is no longer manufactured, Wahoo is replacing it with a brand-new ELEMNT ROAM 3. I think this is an excellent example of how a company can turn a disappointing product experience into a very positive customer experience. The communication was clear, the process was straightforward and the solution exceeded my expectations. Five stars for Wahoo and especially for Kenneth and the customer support team. Highly recommended.

Expensive Upgrade That Left Me Unable to Use The Bike I wanted to on the Trainer

I purchased the Wahoo XDR Freehub and through axle kit to use my SRAM Force AXS 12-speed bike with a KICKR V5. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing and has fundamentally undermined my confidence in both the product and Wahoo's customer support. The drivetrain operates flawlessly on my bike's wheelset using the exact same SRAM XG-1270 10-36 cassette. However, after installing the official Wahoo XDR freehub, the drivetrain became noisy, rough and inconsistent across much of the cassette, particularly in the smaller cogs. Despite spending considerable time checking installation, indexing and micro-adjustments, I was unable to achieve anything close to the smooth shifting experienced on the bike itself. What makes this particularly frustrating is that I purchased the official Wahoo solution specifically to allow compatibility between a premium SRAM AXS drivetrain and a premium smart trainer. Instead, I am now in a position where I am effectively unable to use the bike I actually want to ride on a trainer that cost around £1,000. The entire purpose of buying the XDR conversion kit was to make the setup work seamlessly, yet it has introduced a problem that did not previously exist. The support experience has been equally disappointing. Rather than investigating the issue in detail, the response was largely to purchase additional hardware, continue experimenting with setup changes, or seek help from a bike mechanic. The burden, cost and effort of resolving the problem has felt entirely one-sided. What is especially concerning is that a quick search reveals numerous reports from other riders experiencing very similar issues when combining SRAM 12-speed drivetrains with Wahoo trainers. Despite this, support appeared unwilling to acknowledge the possibility of a broader compatibility or tolerance issue, instead treating it solely as an individual bike setup problem. I originally chose Wahoo because of its reputation for class-leading customer service and support. Based on my experience, that reputation is undeserved. The product may work perfectly for some users, but when issues arise, the support provided falls well short of what I would expect from a premium brand. For a product ecosystem costing well over £1,000, I expected compatibility, accountability and meaningful support. Instead, I have spent additional money on official Wahoo components and ended up with a setup that performs worse than before.

I would have given 0 stars if it was an option. They make a good product but the customer service is horrible. I reached out to a Wahoo exec through Linkdin who was equally horrible which would explain the problems with this company.

Great customer service

Been using Wahoo bike computers & indoortrainers. After 1,5 years my wahoo roam 2 broke down. Contacted customer service, even tough my roam was already past it the 1 year warranty time. They where willing to replace my roam free off charge. And also I was getting a free upgrade from the Roam 2 to a brand new Roam 3. Only bad thing is the slow reaction time, between sending an receiving reply sometimes takes 1,5 days upto longer time due to weekends in between. Overall im really pleased and happy with Wahoo and their customer support.

Bolt 3- should have bought a spoon

I bought the Bolt 3 and a have persevered with it though loyalty to Wahoo that I have been with for a decade.  But it just does not work properly. I struggle to up load routes even when im at home on the wifi and have no chance when out using bluetooth that it constantly drops. it stops mid ride, the map freeze, the satellites connection just does not come on.  The new phone app is no better, great if I want an AI to give me fitness advice but not if I just want it to send routes to my Bolt 3.  I've lost so many rides now I could cry. useless piece of plastic, should have bought a spoon (more aerodynamic).

Amazing Customer Service

I had an issue with my 5 year old Kickr bike - the right shifter stopped working. Despite my best efforts I was unable to resolve the problem so contacted Wahoo for advise. Quick response from them however the advise provided didn't sort the issue out. Having again contacted them, they advised that a spare part was on the way. Received the next day, fitted - problem resolved. Amazing service.

Ik ben overgestapt van Garmin naar Wahoo, maar ben diep teleurgesteld in de hardware en de ondersteuning.

(Nederlands hieronder) I recently switched from Garmin to Wahoo, purchasing the Elemnt Bolt 3 and Trackr. My experience has been deeply frustrating. From day one, the unit had integration issues (taillight/brake light failing). I reported this as early as November 2025 (Ticket #2144399). Support kept the ticket "On Hold" during the winter. On my first test ride in March, the navigation froze—a symptom of the hardware instability I had been reporting. This distraction caused a crash, damaging the unit. I had to pay €200 for a "crash replacement." Now that I have the new replacement unit, it works perfectly with the exact same sensors and settings. This is empirical proof that my original unit was a "lemon" with a hardware defect from the start. Despite this proof, Wahoo Support (Supervisor Greg) refuses to acknowledge the defect or refund the replacement costs, hiding behind "rider discretion" and procedural technicalities. It’s disappointing that a premium brand expects a new customer to pay for their inability to diagnose a faulty device. The hardware is great when it works, but the customer service is incredibly rigid and unfair when it doesn't. Nederlands: Ik ben onlangs overgestapt van Garmin naar Wahoo en heb de Elemnt Bolt 3 en Trackr aangeschaft. Mijn ervaring is uiterst frustrerend geweest.

Replaced my computer out of warranty

Replaced my bike computer well out of warranty. Was charging my elemnt bolt V2 when it melted at the charge port. Immediately unplugged it and contacted wahoo support. Bearing in mind this is April 2026 and the computer was bought in 2021 I wasn't expecting much. However AJ from customer services went way beyond what was expected. After supplying proof of purchase and a couple of photos showing the problem a video of me binning it at a recycling centre was requested. I did that and was then told a new one would be sent out to me and to make it an even better service it would be the new V3 model. Outstanding customer service.

Superb Customer Service

I recently contacted Wahoo customer services when my Speedplay Powermeter pedals stopped producing reliable data. I no longer had the receipt for my pedals (which I had had for about 4 and 1/2 years). After providing some confirmatory information and trying their fixes, I was sent a brand new set of pedals. Odd to see other reviews slating Wahoo's customer service but in my experience it has been superb.

Element Roam cycle Computor fail

I had an issue with a Element Roam cycling computer that stopped working, and contacted the customer support for help in resolving the issue. I received a reply the next day, but unfortunately it would seem that the issue was terminal. even though the commuter was nearly 4 years old, I was offered a discount of 40% off the price of a new one. I was very pleased with the fast response as well as the discount offer, as with the age of the item, I did not expect such service

Avoid at all cost

Had my wahoo for less than a year and it’s broke the battery will not charge! I’ve been in touch with wahoo who state that since it was purchased from eBay albeit in a brand new state they don’t give warranty on electronics. I never knew this was a thing I thought by law all electrical appliances had warranty full stop and especially a big well known company as wahoo! One of the main reasons for me buying this product! They have offered me a 40% discount to purchase another one but why would I do that when I have been hit so badly with my first and now my last product that I will ever buy from wahoo! Will also be making friends and family in my cycling club very aware of this! Very disappointed

I submitted a one star review earlier

I submitted a one star review earlier. Since then, my issues have been resolved. The biggest disservice was the terrible communication via their automated attendant on their phone system. The message was that they are closed Dec 24, 25 and 26th. I called on December 29th. The message was changed to we are closed for the holidays. I called on January 5th. The message was changed to phone support is closed, please call back tomorrow. I called on January 6th and got the same message. I finally reached them on January 7th. I do not understand why they just didn't explain that phone support is closed December 24th through January 6th. They led me to believe they were going out of business. They resolved my issues by replacing my Kickr with a factory refurbished one as my old one was out of warranty and deemed unrepairable. The factory refurb is working fine. They replaced my old one as a goodwill gesture as they did not have to replace it at all.

Terrible customer service.

Ok, I made a mistake on my order, in my defense the web site was not at all clear on the configuration of the kickr core I was buying. But this should be an easy fix, right? No. Its been impossible to get any traction, I realised the mistake within ten minutes of ordering (the order confirmation was the first place it was clear that I have not ordered the correct version) and I raised a support call to stop the order. Nothing heard back. Then the product arrived. Now I am looking at returning it (unopened) but my order shows as non-returnable (presumably because I used a support discount to buy it). So, its now almost 5 days since my initial support ticket and nothing from them at all. Yes, I can buy the alternative part - but that is not the point here.

Amazing customer service from Wahoo…

Amazing customer service from Wahoo Fitness - Mackenzie. I ordered the wrong bike trainer by mistake and contacted them to see what my options were. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and professional from start to finish. Instead of making things complicated, they went above and beyond and they are sending me the missing part for free — no hassle at all. Super happy with the experience.

⭐ 1 Star

⭐ 1 Star – Still waiting after more than a month for a proper return label I ordered a small adapter kit from Wahoo Fitness by mistake and contacted their support immediately to cancel the order. Unfortunately, the package shipped anyway — understandable, these things happen. However, what followed has been a month-long struggle just to receive the correct return label. I clearly requested UPS because there is no FedEx drop-off location anywhere close to my home or workplace. Wahoo confirmed in writing that they would send UPS labels via their external logistics partner — but nothing ever arrived. After several follow-ups, I finally received… a FedEx label. At this point, I’ve spent over 30 days trying to return an unopened item that I never even intended to purchase. Support agents have been polite, but the execution and coordination with their logistics partner are completely broken. It should not take this long, or this many emails, to get a simple return label. Very disappointing experience for a brand that otherwise sells great products.
