YOGABODY distills science-based stretching into easily understandable and easily implementable techniques. And, it made a huge difference in my hip flexibility, which translated into other areas - back, hamstrings, ankles, etc. What really sets YB apart is the care with which the stretches are structured. There are options for each stretch that meet you where you are in terms of flexibility and that helps avoid injury while advancing your flexibility goals.
I know it's important to keep my spine moving because it's the stiffness that causes the pain, but I never know what I should be doing. With this program I just follow along. I like the combination of different training. I'm going through the program for a second time now.
The first classes I took were 21 day challenges, and I remember learning that holding the poses for a good long deep stretch was something I hadn't done- and it made a difference. Lucas's clear directions, steady voice, and bits of exercise science thrown in made it feel like I was learning while we were in these deep poses. Now, my husband joins me in 5 For Life, and we're appreciating Danilo's leadership just as much. This is a very approachable platform- accessible, affordable, sensible.
I bought the Science Of Stretching course, worried that it would be no better than free YouTube videos, but it’s brilliant/worth every penny. The instructions are clear and brilliantly explained, there are adaptations for all body types, and it feels properly researched and sensible. The app is also simple and works well, and Lucas is a pleasure to listen to, I look forward to each new class.
Even though I’m still working towards a daily exercise routine, I find Yogabody makes it that much more achievable. It is the perfect foundation for my exercise, which I supplement with a Pilates class at my local gym. I have recommended Yogabody to all my family.
I’ve been doing the programme for a month now and starting to see and feel a difference. I like the fact the sessions are just 15 mins and I can fit them easily into my day. I also like the options if some poses are too tricky. This is the first time I’ve stuck to this type of programme for this long!
I signed up for the daily training called “five for life” and it has been fantastic for me.
I’m a healthy 71 years old, but due to a small injury, I got out of practice for some months and following this program has had a very positive effect on my strength and stability. I had never imagined that so many muscle groups could be trained with minimal equipment, such as stretch bands, stool, yoga mat, blocks, and above all bodyweight. The tremendous effort that the team has put into developing these exercises is evident.
And the price is right.
A challenging course but one I would highly recommend.
Clear, friendly and safe advice delivered. The alternative range of movements to accommodate individual comfort thresholds is particularly useful.
Thanks Lucas , great job
The courses and challenges are great. They give awesome explanations of what to do and why we are doing it. The exams for the certifications are actually graded and they leave personal feedback so you know they aren't just giving certificates to anyone who pays for the course.
My first experience with YogaBody was taking the 21 day hip opening challenge. Having been an office worker all my career, sitting at a desk for far too long, my hips were sore and hurt and the hip challenge helped. I'm getting older and, in addition to my tight hips, I'm noticing that I'm starting to lose mobility. My hip opening challenge went well so I signed up for Five for Life. Friends would try to get me to join a gym but I knew that would never happen and long workouts would just discourage me and I would give up. 15 minutes of stretching, 15 minutes of strength training, 7,000 daily steps and Lucas' weekly Q&As are the motivation I needed. I can actually do this. It's not overwhelming and it gets me started on an actual plan to get my body in shape. Lucas and Camilo are inspirational instructors. While I'm not a particularly athletic person, my sister is and she is the one who encouraged me to join this program. We are both super pleased with it.
So far its great! I have alot of pain in my body and havnt done it to long. But i have bpught the happy back challenge that has been feeling very good so far. I va e not finished the 21 days yet thou. I ha e also listened aboyt the feet and the hip masterclasses and all i csn say is that its very good explained, in a good speed calm and understantable. The exercises looks hard and impossible from the beginning but when you are following and listening it makes me so proud afterwards that it was possible and sometimes not even that hard because he has levels. One mainhoal but an easier way tonstsrt with a middle part and the hard one. You do what you can. It just sounds like alot of sence!
I highly recommend YogaBody, whether you're an instructor looking to fulfill continuing education credits or someone who simply wants to learn these modalities for your own personal practice.
Lucas, Camillo, and the entire YogaBody team make everything easy to access, and their instruction is exceptionally clear and well organized. I've completed both The Science of Stretching and the Breath Coach Certification, and each exceeded my expectations.
In addition to those certifications, I also worked with Lucas through private business coaching. I walked away with a clear vision for a workshop that went from a simple concept to identifying venue locations and confidently moving toward booking my first event.
Out of all the certifications I hold, YogaBody is, hands down, one of the best organizations in the industry.
I thought the workouts and stretching were very helpful and different from mainstream fitness programs. My only critique is I think after the first set you should not have to over explain the movements and just flow into the training.
Lucas is an amazing Coach, and unlike any other yoga instructor I have ever experienced. Lucas advises us on best practices to get back into stretching while providing an enlightening education on our body and what the components of our body do for us. Lucas provides an excellent approach to engage with us remotely, to engage, learn and understand the best way to approach improvement in out bodies range of motion, and increasing the three principles of practice. I am so glad I found YOGABODY, and appreciate all that Lucas brings to me in increasing my posture and self-esteem. Thank you, Lucas!
I did the Hip Opening Challenge and it was really well designed, with each pose explained very clearly and often from multiple viewpoints. I loved that he shows the "least bendy" (my phrase) version of the pose first and then works up for those folks who are starting at a more flexible spot. It made me feel like the course was made for folks like me (NOT very flexible!!) and adjusted to still be useful for more flexible people, rather than having been designed for really flexible people and then "dumbed down" for us less bendy folks.
I recommend Lucas and YOGABODY to anyone who will listen! I’ve been a huge fan ever since my first hip opening challenge several years ago. Lucas understands the body and the science of stretching better than anyone else I’ve encountered. His “stretch, hold for 2+ minutes, relax and breathe” technique is safe, and effective. Staying strong and flexible is a challenge as we age. YOGABODY is the remedy.
The variations on each one makes it possible for me to do. I've never been able to do it right before. I'm noticing i can walk and run better. The nutrition correlation is also a big benefit. I'm telling everyone i know how much I enjoy this and how I think it would help them too.
Hands down some of the best instructors in the industry! I have been following them for over 5 years and have signed up for several of their programs including Science of Stretching. Their science-based, real-life approach to their teachings is what draws me to them, Lucas and Camillo. Their calm voices and approach to teaching give me the confidence to keep moving forward in my journey to my best health despite setbacks along the way. Thank you!!!!
I am on my second run of the back and hip challenges. Been very stiff with lower back pain. I can see the benefits and overall feel better in my body. Also I am able to go into more advanced variants of the pose in the second run so that is also showing the progress for me.
