Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Consumers find the platform quite useful for creating images and videos, appreciating the high quality results when it works properly. People enjoy exploring its diverse features and note that the tool offers fun and creative ways to generate digital content.
Some reviewers were not happy with the strict credit system and unexpected subscription costs. Customers mentioned that frequent mistakes made by the software consume expensive credits without offering refunds or easy corrections. Users also noted that getting desired results often requires precise prompts and sometimes leads to unexpected errors during generation.
Deevid is crap. The AI is smart AF, but it constantly crashes. When I generate images that I paid Pro credits for, I get their stupid watermark. The interface sucks. There's no way to retrieve data or save anything to file. I ported everything over to google Gemini, but it is slow going and I have to fix a LOT.
Deevid will never be more than a third rate program. They don't even keep their social media up to date.
#avoid.
This is an awful product. At first, I thought something was wrong with me, then realized the thing was junk, pure junk. A law enforcement agency needs to look into this outfit for fraud. I've asked for a refund, but after reading most reviews, I'm having doubts that I'll get one.
Be careful. I tried out a free trial and never signed up for a paid service; nevertheless, a charge was made via PayPal (providing the details was mandatory), and the company refuses to refund the amount.
Disappointing service, misleading credit deductions, and restrictive cancellation policies.
I am highly disappointed with my experience with this platform. Prior to purchasing, I unfortunately did not review the existing feedback, which closely mirrors the issues I encountered.
I purchased a month-long subscription for $69, expecting high-quality video outputs. Instead, the generated videos contained numerous errors and really bad sound. When I attempted to rectify these issues by utilizing the "regenerate" feature on the exact same video, the system deducted half of my monthly account credits. I tried to use the rest of the credits to make some worth of my money, but it was totally worthless.
Within an hour of my purchase, realizing the software did not meet basic functional standards, I requested a refund. This request was promptly denied. Furthermore, the platform's interface is currently preventing me from cancelling my subscription or deleting my account entirely.
Due to sub-par product quality, punitive credit policies, and poor customer service, I cannot recommend this platform to others.
Misleading pricing and terrible experience
I strongly regret purchasing the Pro plan. The pricing is very misleading. They advertise that you can generate up to 75 videos, but each video actually costs 125 credits. With only 600 credits included in the Pro plan, you can create only a handful of videos, nowhere near what the marketing suggests.
The same issue applies to images. Even a simple image generation can consume 12 credits, so the advertised numbers are very misleading.
On top of that, they refused to issue a refund even though the service did not match my expectations based on their advertising.
In my opinion, the marketing is deceptive and does not accurately reflect the real credit usage. I would not recommend buying this subscription. Please read the pricing and credit system very carefully before spending your money.
Terrible application and even more terrible customer service. Burns credits and actually has the nerve to admit it messed up and burned credits. Contacted customer service with the full report generated from the Ai agent admitting it's errors and got a very generic "tough luck" response. Refused to correct or refund. Lacks capability and over promises on what it can actually do - regardless of it;s comprehensive generation plan.
The AI hallucinated and gave me a video with the person speaking in a foreign language that I could not understand. I only gave instructions for facial expressions and did not include a script. The video was based on the images for the first and last frames that were not accurate in the final video. $4.66 for a 10 second clip that is unusable is outrageous. When I asked for a refund and to cancel my subscription they wrote "we apologize sincerely for failing to meet your expectations in both usage experience and costs. Regarding refunds, we need to be upfront with you: according to DeeVid AI’s Terms of Service, which state that “due to the nature of AI video generation services and the associated infrastructure costs, subscriptions and purchases are non-refundable,”
On April 15, I paid approximately $7 for what I believed was a one-time video creation service. I was not clearly informed that this payment would activate a recurring subscription.
I later discovered unauthorized charges of $14 on May 14 and $14 on June 14 — totaling $28. I did not knowingly authorize these charges and I did not use the subscription service during this period.
When I requested a refund, the company offered me credits instead of a refund and refused to return my money. I am not interested in credits — I want a full refund of the $28 charged to my card.
This feels like a deceptive practice. Please check your bank statements carefully if you have ever used DeeVid AI.
Very disappointing experience. There is no meaningful preview before credits are spent. I used credits to generate a product video, and the final result had almost no motion and looked nearly identical to the original photo. The app consumed credits without giving me enough information to know what I would receive.
Users need a better preview system, clearer motion controls, and more transparency before credits are charged. Right now it feels like paying first and finding out later whether the result is usable.
Not worth the credits I spent.
I had a very negative experience with Deedvid. I was charged 84£ after subscribing because the pricing is displayed mainly as a monthly fee, with only a small “billed annually” mention. In practice, you end up being charged the full annual amount upfront, which is not clear at all at the time of purchase.
This kind of design feels intentionally misleading and gives the impression that the company relies more on confusing pricing than on product quality. On top of that, the output I received was far from satisfactory in terms of relevance and quality: it did not meet professional standards and I would not use it in a serious context.
Overall, I have the feeling I paid a significant amount for a service that neither delivers clear, transparent pricing nor real value. I would strongly recommend double‑checking the billing conditions before subscribing, and, based on my experience, I would not recommend this service.
Terrible scam and one of the worst platforms I have ever used
I signed up for a one-month subscription, paying A$35.00 for 600 credits. The platform charges an outrageous 40 credits for a five-second AI-generated video clip. Even when I provide detailed instructions describing exactly what I want, it produces low-quality, inaccurate videos that bear little resemblance to my request.
When I point out that the generated content does not match my instructions, the platform often responds with something like, "Sorry, you're right," yet still charges me another 20 credits to try again. In some cases, it even generates a photo instead of a video while continuing to deduct credits from my account.
In my experience, this feels extremely deceptive and misleading. I paid for a service that repeatedly failed to deliver what was promised while continuously consuming credits for unusable results.
Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews on Trustpilot before subscribing. Had I done so, I would never have signed up. The overwhelming majority of reviews there are negative and describe experiences very similar to mine.
My advice is simple: stay away from this product. It is poorly designed, delivers substandard results, and provides very poor value for money.
Signed up for a month - cancelled very quickly - almost useless
Signed up for a month – A$55.00 for 600 credits. Uses 60 credits for a five second AI clip. A couple of the clips were excellent, some quite good but several useless ones.If the clip is crap then there is no recourse - you have to pay full price for a redo. When I contacted support I just got an AI response. Second time they just said too bad that's the way it is and cancelled my subscription! Klunky interface. Not thought through. If there was a discount for redos of the same clip I might have stayed around.
Crappy product. I think it is designed to consume your credits. You give it very detailed descriptions and then it spits out content that doesn’t meet your description. You then have to use more credits to fix it, and then it keeps doing that over and over. I wish I had done more research. I asked for a refund, they declined. Beware!
this is my second terrible situation…Warning to other users: Be very careful with DeeVid AI.
this is my second terrible situation with DEEVID.AI!
In my PayPal account, the payment was not shown simply as “DeeVid AI”, but under the merchant name "Brightthink Innovation Limited" , with DeeVid AI only shown in the description/details. In my opinion, this is not transparent and makes it harder for users to immediately recognize and manage the subscription.
I also found the cancellation process very unclear. A serious and fair online service should have a clear cancellation button directly on its website/account page. Instead, I had to search through PayPal automatic payments to stop future charges.
I was charged again even though I did not want to continue the service. I have now opened a PayPal case and the automatic payment is inactive, but this whole experience feels sneaky and unfair.
My advice: Before paying for DeeVid AI, check carefully how the subscription works, how cancellation is done, and what merchant name appears in PayPal. Take screenshots of everything.
This app is a total scam. The AI doesn't understand prompts at all; it generates completely irrelevant videos that look nothing like what you asked for. Worst of all, it drains your paid credits whether the output is correct or completely broken, forcing you to waste money re-wording things.
I canceled my subscription immediately after a single use, yet the company has continued to charge my credit card monthly. I have contacted them multiple times with explicit cease-and-desist requests. Each month, they refuse to refund my stolen money and instead offer me "credits" for an app I already canceled and don't use. This is a fraudulent trap designed to bleed your bank account. Avoid at all costs.
Terrible platform. You confirm you want a video and then the AI rewrites it and amends the imagery. Basically the application is not fit for purpose. Presumably it was developed quickly and they have not sorted out how it works. I have wasted many credits and when the platform created a video I did not authorise, they would not refund me the credits, citing gaps in AI. Funny how other platforms seem to work better. So my advice, steer clear of this application as it will frustrate you, cost you money and you'll end up with a load of videos you cannot use. Even the image generator they charge you for so your products are correct. And then when it goes to video, it suddenly results in images being misconstrued. So basically it's a load of rubbish!
