My first time using Alibaba and wasn’t sure how to proceed with an order that included custom fabrication. The vendor was very helpful in taking care of that part for me. Overall, I was pleased.

Your mileage may vary: Scams and bargains.

They require ID photos. Their website is glitchy and has bad English. That said, I was able to get my orders placed within 1-2 days of filing an appeal with Alibaba. I felt it totally necessary to block out all my personal info on my ID and they didn't mind. So... be smart and don't just take photos of your passport. I feel like this is a buyer beware site. Like Ebay was when it started. You can find an amazing deal or a horrible scam. Fun as long as you don't spend too much and don't actually NEED your product.

Unhelpful in recovering goods from logistics company

Alibaba platform is great to connect with suppliers however when attempting to have them intervene/assist with a logistics company who had my goods valued at over US $300 due to misquoting and subsequently increased the quote by double once goods were in their possession, Alibaba did nothing to assist me in recovering goods as there had been no money exchanged

Alibaba removes not favorable reviews to appease suppliers. The supplier delivered a product that did not meet the product description as advertised. Therefore as a customer I was out of pocket because Alibaba review panel is more supportive towards the supplier even though the supplier had a trusted and guarantee "Trade Assurance"

UPS SUCKS

good seller, but he chose the wrong shipping service (not his fault). UPS retained and delayed the package to be released for 2 months!!!! unbelievable

Not a good experience

The alibaba site is not bad and they do protect customers, but they really need to work better to avoid scams, I had to apply for a refund on the last 4 purchases I did on the site and the message from the sellers is always the same . . ."sorry, some one hacked our account, we don't sell that product" . . . So if you are going to buy something there please be sure to buy on trade assurance items and keep everything inside Alibaba (messages and payments)

3 stars for good and bad service

I have given 3 stars due to a mix of different situations with different suppliers, some have been excellent with quick delivery and given me exactly what I ordered but others have been awful with delivery costs and not putting logos on products even when I’ve paid for the service. Some items haven’t turned up and Alibaba sides with the buyers so no refunds, I will shop again with some suppliers but looking to work with local suppliers in the UK now.

Disappointed!!!!!!!

I would really like to give a 5 but I can't. I had issue with my address being wrong. Could not change it on my profile. Companies sending out packages with the wrong address only finding out when I got a phone call from FEDEX how is this even possible? Then, speaking to a clueless robot, Customer Service unable to help me. And, having to cancel all my orders before they go out afraid of them being lost and me paying out lots of money. So, not a good experience. Will give you guys another try if not I will go back with Alixpress who never looses my packages. Have a good day. Disappointed Owner!

I have sampled extensions supposedly graded high but the hair has been awful and smells of burnt fish. Untrue site promoting bad bad suppliers. I would stay away from this site it is misleading and false

Prepayment downfalls

Prepayment downfalls When ordering through Alibaba, you are ordering from a supplier that is not Alibaba, Alibaba is only connecting you with the supplier. Alibaba makes no guarantees that the supplier will deliver. If you are foolish enough to send a supplier that you do not know that is in another country, money, basically cash, because the way they ask for it is not traceable, then you deserve to be had. So stop complaining.

Poor

Poor, usually they don't care of what you want or need. At the time we order customized hats, the lady changed the colors 3 times and it made the exp look very unprofessional and in the end to get poor quality hats. The hats where actually different material from the tester.

Ordered 100 glass hydrometers

Ordered 100 glass hydrometers, they were paper thin 10 broken in transit and couldn't send them as they were breaking far too easy. Alibaba wouldn't accept return even though I bought through trade assurance. The site is not customer friendly they won't refund you or accept returns. Just be very very careful.

Don't buy from Rose Tong

Don't buy from Rose Tong, you'll get scammed. They send low cost material to what you ordered such as Alloy instead of stainless steel and do not tell you. If you find out befire items get shipped they'll tell you to apply for refund and you lose 2.95% of your purchase in Alibaba transaction fee cost which could be wuite a lot. I would never trust this seller and if there's one scammer there's sure to be more.

Never got a reply about a payment…

Never got a reply about a payment issue. Seller divided our payment for a machine into two payments. The second payment was rejected by Alibaba. I never got an explanation and had to pay the second payment with a risky wire transfer. Fortunately, everything worked out in the end. Unfortunately, I am not confident with Alibaba's responsiveness, hence only three stars.

Delivery was very long
