DO NOT BUYYYY I had very high expectations for 7th Avenue, but unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. Immediately after purchasing the sofa, I contacted customer service because I was concerned about the comfort. At first, I thought maybe I had installed or assembled it incorrectly, so I gave the company the benefit of the doubt.
Customer service sent three different people to look at the sofa, but unfortunately, none of them could resolve the issue. The sofas simply are not comfortable. They look saggy, the sections don't align the way I would expect a normal sofa to align, and the overall appearance and feel do not match what was advertised.
For what I paid—close to $7,000—I expected a premium, comfortable, well-designed sofa. Instead, I feel that the product is overpriced and heavily over-advertised compared with what you actually receive.
The biggest disappointment is that I ultimately ended up putting the sofa in my garage because I don't want to use it. Spending nearly $7K on a sofa only to have it sitting in the garage is incredibly frustrating.
I regret spending this much money on 7th Avenue and would not make the same purchase again. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend doing your research and trying the sofa in person before spending this kind of money. Ray

I ordered their 3 seat sofa. It shows up in boxes. It's completely modular and the seating is made up of three boxes that the cushions rest on, so it doesn't have the extra padding/cushioning of a sofa with an actual frame. You also need to partially disassemble it to move it. Yes, that's correct. Overall, it felt very cheap. It's a fraction as comfortable as a comparable sofa like the Maxwell from Restoration Hardware but similar in cost. Their customer service was good in returning, but I have to pay the shipping fee and assembly fee to return which is a couple hundred dollars.

Everything about the process with 7th Avenue was top notch, and Erick, my expert assembler, was fantastic help in moving boxes and setting up exactly where I wanted the couch, even offering a few tips on changing the covers when my original color ships. The only thing that could be improved in the process is working with FedEx for shipping and delivery logistics. The FedEx piece of this journey was an absolute nightmare with scheduled delivery, and I hope 7th Avenue finds a better partner for the last leg.
My 7th Avenue support contacts were warm and supremely helpful in untangling fedex’s mistakes, and Erick was very professional and efficient for assembly. If FedEx was not part of the equation this is an easy 5 stars. 5 stars for 7th Avenue team - 2 stars for FedEx.

We purchased a modular sofa from 7th Avenue after hearing so many great reviews. We visited the showroom, loved the product, and decided to spend over $8,000 on what we expected would be a premium experience.
Unfortunately, the customer experience has been anything but premium.
First, for a sofa at this price point, delivery doesn’t include bringing the pieces in or assembling them. The sofa arrives in multiple FedEx packages that you’re expected to move yourself. We accepted that and even paid an additional $200 for their installation service.
We were told an installer would contact us within 24–48 hours. I called on a Saturday to schedule, but no one ever reached out. After waiting, I had to call the company again, only to be told that it appeared the request had never been relayed to the installer. In other words, it was simply overlooked.
The installer finally contacted me on Tuesday, only to say the earliest he could come was Friday—almost a full week after my original request.
Mistakes happen, but what was most disappointing was how the company handled it. There was no apology, no accountability, and no offer to refund the $200 installation fee despite their own scheduling error.
When customers spend over $8,000 on a sofa, they’re not just paying for the product—they’re paying for the overall experience. A luxury brand should stand behind its service just as much as its furniture. I still hope the sofa lives up to expectations, but so far the customer service has been incredibly disappointing.

We had a great experience from start to finish. The ordering process was smooth, communication was clear, and everything arrived as expected. The two workers who delivered everything were outstanding, they were friendly, professional, explained everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and worked incredibly hard throughout the delivery. I’m underwhelmed by the fulfillment experience so far.
We ordered our sofa in February and, because of ongoing renovations, asked 7th Avenue to hold the order until the end of May. In mid-May, I reached out to schedule delivery for June. A week later, I received an email stating that certain components were missing and would not arrive until mid-June, ending with a simple “thanks for your understanding.” A phone call explaining the situation and offering possible solutions would have been much more appropriate.
I called customer service myself, asked what was actually missing, and was able to work out a solution. I assumed that would resolve the issue. The next day, I followed up to find out when the order would ship and received a”well let you know” response. After sending another email and still hearing nothing, I called again, only to discover there had been yet another error and the order still had not shipped.
I’m now told it is supposed to ship today. Since we’re on the East Coast, delivery will take several more days, and we then have to arrange assembly separately through Taskrabbit. At this point it it will be mid-June until we have the sofa. After requesting it to by delivered in mid-May.
Considering we ordered, and paid for this sofa in February, the lack of communication, the two separate fulfillment errors, and the generally nonchalant handling of the situation have made for a disappointing experience. At this point, I can only hope the sofa itself lives up to expectations.
